Finally, after two years of being in Denver I've found a top notch taco truck. Let me take that back not only did I find a top notch taco truck but I found a top notch taco truck that serves mole. Scooooooooooooore. If your ever on 17th and Wazee, I suggest you come hungry and be prepared for taco love!

I am here to sing its praises to the holy heavens. Hallelujah! Authentic street tacos that aren't all hipstery and douchebaggy, and cheap as ever! I was at work one day, deeply pondering what I wanted for lunch that day. Was it 9 AM? 8 AM? Doesn't matter. I took a break from working diligently to look over my bookmarks on Yelp, and for some reason, I had this place marked as a place that I wanted to visit. So I ventured out at 11 AM, deciding that this is the place that I wanted to go. There is one of those aforementioned hipstery and douchebaggy taco carts across the street from my work, but I wanted real true tacos. Burrito cart saved the day. I received 4 chicken and spicy green chile tacos, covered with onion and cilantro, with a wedge of lime on the side. All for $6. I walked back to my office, showing off my prized possession to my coworkers, and I swear, we had to call in the cleaning crew to wipe up their piles of jealousy saliva as they drooled over the smell and look of my tacos. "MINE, YOU CAN'T HAVE THEM!" I yelled across the 4th floor. I got through 2 before I decided that I needed to take a picture to commemorate the flavorful chunks of chicken and green chile creating a masterpiece in my mouth. I got through 3 and decided that I needed to slow down. Maybe save the last taco for later. Not a chance. I scarfed it down and sat at my desk, in a taco coma, for a very long time. I think some work got done after that, but I am not entirely sure. Who cares? Those tacos are bomb.com (yep, bringing that one back). Great friendly service, and CASH ONLY. Cash is king.

Yelpers of the World Unite! Why does the burrito/taco lady (as my fellow teammates call her) only have one review on Yelp. Are my Yelpers slacking? You might be... Teammates of mine told me about this lady and invited me to got this morning. Thank goodness, this is the BOOMDIGITY! Smallish menu. Offers a selection of breakfast burritos, and a great array of tacos with carnitas or chicken or more. Taco's have a great balance of spice (mild if you want) with fresh onions, cilantro, lime, and rice. I had the chicken and there are were huge pieces of chicken throughout - not cheap with the chicken. She also has a variety of drinks. She's on the corner of 17th and Blake which means that if your looking for an amazing lunch or breakfast you should walk the 1/2 block and get some taco lovin! Forgo the Chipolte's and Qdoba's of the world and take part in the Burrito Cart - support a local gem that deserves the recognition for being a great food cart in downtown Denver. Stop by giver her a try and write a review. Let's get busy!

The burritos here are awesome! Breakfast burritos served all day and the green chili is vegetarian.

I'm a total carnivore, but I highly recommend getting the #6 breakfast burrito (potatoes, eggs, green chili).

Place is cozy, right on the corner, very natural earthy interior design, makes it feel like vacation and very different from rest of Denver vibe. Foods are beyond just tasteful, feels like a whole experience with every bite. You typically need 4 to 5 plates for a party of two, each plate is elegantly designed and crafted. It comes out as a pure perfection, the house cocktails are unique above all is the avocado margarita, which is one of the exotic cocktails of all. Staff are extremely professional, not too friendly, not too cold, just the right amount of politeness to make one comfortable. For my fellow Denver folks, you have to visit this place to experience contemporary Mexican dishes, which, by the way, most of them taste more towards a comfortable level of spicy.

Our server was very knowledgeable without being too pushy or over explanatory. We tried the big eye tuna ceviche, the scallops and the classic braised lamb shank. We loved two of the three however the big eye tuna was a bit of a flavor bomb and the tuna did not stand out. There was way too much going on and we kind of just felt like it was a salty mess. Denver is lucky to have a culinary gem like this and we look forward to returning to try some of the new creations!

The food was delicious! We got $2 chips and salsa off the happy hour menu and the queso con soyrizo (not on HH menu) which was served with warm tortillas. Honestly we probably didn't need all that because the tacos were so good I could've just filled up on more of the tacos, but still was a great meal! I ordered the lengua, pastor, and taco special (breaded shrimp). They were all so good. Think taco quality of a good street taco spot but with the ambiance of a cute tex mex bar. The bartender was great and made a solid marg ($8 on happy hour). You get a great deal on taco Tuesday but I'm sure you'd get great service and quality any day of the week!

Good meal but a lot of work and hassle!…read more Very limited parking. Left side of the building are a few parking spots shared by several businesses. Good luck getting a spot. Then you are driving the neighborhood hoping to find a spot. Finally parked and walked to the restaurant. Host told me it would be 30 minutes but the actual wait was 50 minutes. Spend so much time parking and then waiting, at what point do you give up and leave empty handed? Restaurant is VERY LOUD. Finally got a table and ordered OFF MENU. Server agreed to substitute shrimp for my enchiladas and they were good! Fresh corn tortillas were the highlight. Ordered tres leches cake and enjoyed it too. Was a nice meal but just not worth all the hassle.

But this was Monday evening and we were seated immediately. Our server said that we had 5 minutes left for Happy Hours--thank you!!--so ordered Caliente Margaritas and appetizers. The nachos were delicious--and messy! The Margaritas were as well. I had a nonalcoholic Athletic Brewing Company Cerveza Atletica (Mexican style copper). There were several other NA cocktails and beers available as well. We were all very pleased with our entrees. They were all luscious. Two of us are vegetarian and there were plenty of choices. I had Crispy Avocado Tacos, which came with black beans, and a side of Street Corn--both great choices. My friend had quesadillas and Potato Flautas , which I tasted and almost wish I had ordered as well. Our carnivore gentleman partners were also very happy, with one of them choosing a sampler, "Perdida's 'Best Of' Plate." Perdida is a great new addition to the Wash Park area.
