This is a great, standard Marriott hotel. The lobby and entry way is absolutely stunning and extremely spacious. The room was huge and spacious, as well. While it was clean, the room had a strange echo. The housekeepers were kind, but the front desk workers could have been nicer. The breakfast was pretty bad, in all honestly. Usually Marriott breakfast buffets are my favorite, too. Next time, I would love to try the Tillery, the restaurant located inside. This hotel is very well located to many amazing, fun, and delicious spots in the Metro Center. It is right off of 795, too, making it a great spot to stay in Owings Mills. 4 star hotel. Large, clean rooms and friendly service. Located near so many restaurants and shopping and easily accessible to other neighboring areas. A restaurant and a Starbucks inside. Nice workout facility. No swimming pool. Plenty of free parking close by. No valet parking service. The only negative, is they accommodate many large conferences, and being on the smaller side for the hotel, does get rather loud at times, especially at night. read more

I stayed two nights at the Marriott Owings Mills for a work trip. The room was super spacious with a king bed with a chaise lounge by the window. The room also included a mini fridge and microwave with a bathrobe and safe in the closet. The bathroom was clean and the hotel overall was modern. When using the elevator from the first floor you must scan your room key and it will automatically take you the your floor. There was a Starbucks on the first floor as well as a bar/restaurant. The only thing I didn't like about this hotel was the parking. It was not directly beside the hotel. You either used a covered parking garage across the street or a parking lot passed the hotel. During the day was fine but after dark as a woman I didn't care for the walk. In order to use the Wi-Fi for free you must be a Marriott Bonvoy member. Otherwise you will pay $9.99 per day. read more

Nice newer hotel in a good location. Restaurants and what not nearby. Also a restaurant in the hotel itself. Parking sucks because you have to park in a structure and then walk. The walk isn't bad unless it's pouring down rain and then it's miserable. Also, during our stay on more than three occasions, one set of doors wasn't working so we had to walk around to the next set in the rain. Put a literal damper on my day. Also, I had no towels in my room and apparently there was no one to bring towels up because I had to leave to go get them. That was annoying because I was already undressed and ready for a shower when I noticed I had no towels since I creeped in there after 11 o'clock from a delayed flight. Spacious and clean though. Not only have I been a guest at this hotel, but I've also supported the jazz events held at the Tillery. Isaiah Lewis has been exceptional in providing information and taking reservations for tables for the events. He is ALWAYS pleasant, professional, and prompt when providing services and prompt in providing confirmations for reservations made. He comes through like a champ when changes are needed to be made, never frustrated, but always pleasant and professional. It's a joy to work with him and he is an asset to this establishment! This hotel is in a great location away from the busy city but all the city feels with so many businesses nearby. All the staff from check in to custodians passing by ... Starbucks and Tillery staff ..... everyone I came in contact with was very friendly and acknowledged me. The room is really big . I liked that. I was only here for one night but the stay was very comfortable. Parking is across the street and has lots of spots available. The only thing I don't like is you can hear whatever event is going on upstairs in the lobby. I went to eat breakfast and there was church upstairs. I was tempted to go attend the service but it was so loud I went to my room for peace and quiet. read more

I nearly threw up! When I saw someone's pubic hair on the washcloth I was given. I called down to the front desk. They apologized and offered me a free drink from their bar. I guess they thought I would need a drink to get the image of someone's pubic hair in my hand. No other accommodation was given. Just a lot of sorry's! disgusting!!! They were always short of towels, we couldn't get WiFi in our room. We were told to come down to the lobby to use the WiFi. This hotel is usually on point. But they definitely fell short on the stay. Horrible check-in experience with Shantelle The hotel facilities were modern and nice. The bed was comfortable. The room was huge. The bathroom was spa-like. The view of the Owings Mills metro area was impressive. However... When we arrived very exhausted from completing our moving, Shantelle at the front desk was chatting with another guest. When we came, she moved behind the counter with the guest without any welcome greeting or acknowledgement for us. We waited patiently for at least 10 minutes while Shantelle and the guest continued talking at the counter. I approached and mentioned that we just need to check in. She looked at me annoyed and responded that she is working with another guest. We waited a few more minutes when another front desk staff, Sophia, came. She also ignored us while she and Shantelle continued talking to the same guest. After a few more minutes, that's when Sophia called to attend us. It took less than a minute to check us in. I complained about the unwelcome treatment that we received and she gave a cold apology. The only redeeming part was during check out the following morning, when Beatrice gave us a very warm greeting and provided a heartfelt apology from the previous night's experience. Although, it's already late for any apologies as the "cup is already cracked". Due to this experience plus having to pay for $10 per night for basic internet, we canceled our planned 13-night stay at their Element hotel in Irving Texas. We vowed to never again stay at another Marriott hotel. read more

So let me first start by saying the Marriott is one of my favorite hotels to stay in no matter where I'm at. But this time I ended up here for my friend's wedding. I must say the event space that they offered was amazing. It was a nice private intimate wedding but the hotel staff was great at making sure everything was up to par. The hotel offers valet parking but it's really pointless unless you're drunk because the parking garage is literally directly across the street. The hotel staff was very polite & accommodating the entire wedding party which is rare cause I've been to some weddings at hotels & the staff be very rude. Unfortunately it was way too close to home for me to justify renting a room & staying the night. I provided a review and contacted the hotel to be contacted by general management and I have not received a follow-up as it is now going on two weeks from my written complaint. I contacted the hotel numerous times after my stay for a lost & found item. My item ( brown timberland boots) was left in the hotel room or front desk at the time of check out due to the item not being able to fit in my luggage. Reviewing my car camera footage in the garage, I returned without my item. I contacted the hotel when I noticed the following. I was left on hold numerous amount of times for 30+ mins while the front desk attempted to contact the housekeeping manager. The front desk stated they were not able to reach the housing-keeping manager she would contact me back. Never received contact back after a week, I provided her a voicemail. I contacted the hotel requesting to speak to a manager the following day. Marney assisted me, I was on hold for 15 mins but she was to reach the housekeeping manager after I expressed my frustration. The housekeeping manager came to the phone with a horrible attitude( bothered) stated she would take my information & contact me back the same day, and hung up (very rushed ). She never contacted me back. I followed up the next day, contacted the hotel (3) times, and was not able to successfully transfer to the housekeeper department. I requested to speak to a manager again at 5:00 PM the manager was not available on site. I expressed my concern over the lack of customer service I was receiving at the front desk. I was informed I would be contacted back by Marney. I left my contact information and was never contacted by either manager. The following day I visited the property and neither manager at 5:30 PM was on site and there was no manager on site or the front desk agent. I am sure my boots were stolen given it was a snow day by hotel staff or guests due to the lack of concern and urgency this could have been handled differently and I could have retrieved my item promptly. I have worked in hospitality as a manager and additional training is mandatory at this location and new management. The item is replaceable but the concern is that the team reported a manager was not on site after 5:00 PM twice when a manager should always be on site. The way paying customers were satisfied with their stay overall but due to the lack of horrible customer service provided. I do not recommend this hotel and it's alarming that management still has yet to follow up on this concern. read more

I came in early for an event to be held at the hotel and it went perfectly. It is a new Marriott and I decided to stay uptown in the county for this trip. Having grown up in the area, this hotel is the nicest in the area; something very much needed. Upon checking I had a very easy experience. Everyone tries to go out of their way to be of assistance. The restaurant, The Tillery, is gorgeous with an approachable menu, something for everyone. The furniture reminds me of Aspen, along with a working fireplace. Shout out to the Restaurant GM Duane Rigby and to the Chef for her/his fabulous broiled crab cake and hand cut fried. I also enjoyed meeting the Hotel GM, Mr. Joel Weiss who is a consummate professional and is very hands on. I plan to come back when I visit family. Cheers. read more

While the hotel itself was fine, the customer service I received was terrible, as well as the housekeeping. I booked 4 rooms for family members. I checked in to all of the rooms online and arrived after 4:00 PM (check-in time) but only one of our rooms was ready, which was very annoying. The desk clerk did not have a friendly attitude at all as was not helpful. I booked all 4 of the rooms directly with Marriott with a room rate for each that included access to the M Club, but at check-in the desk personnel said that only one of the 4 rooms had M Club access (not true). They charged an additional $50 per room for each room for club access and refused to remove the charge, so I paid twice per room for M Club access. Also, the service in the M Club was terrible. They ran out of bottled water and other items both days we were there and refused our requests to re-stock. One of the M Club staff was just downright rude. Finally, we experienced some serious housekeeping issues. Three of our four rooms were not serviced at all. The pull-out sofa in one of our rooms had stains on the sheets that appeared to be poop stains. I would advise not to stay at this hotel. read more

This hotel is new and i really loved the room. It's simple. But clean. And crispy so to speak. Bathroom has amazing lighting. Plenty of storage place. Bed was super comfy. Restaurant downstairs has great food. There are couple of regular bartenders whose names i don't remember. But they are great. Lobby is my favorite. It's large. And very well lit. Couches and comfy chairs along with tables. All have chargers for the convenience of charging lap top. Even at the bar. I really love the food. Crab cakes. Carrots. Mushrooms. Fried chicken sandwich. This hotel has a good location, and it is attractive. Wish I could say more positive things, but it has slipped in performance since we last stayed here several years ago. As far as I know it still is considered a full-service Marriott. I have had better service in economy hotels. When we checked in it was acknowledged that I am a Platinum Elite Bonvoy member, and we were offered a late check-out. I was not asked about amenity choices nor offered complimentary water. The room was large but without the amenities you would expect. Again, no comp water. There were 2 hangers in the closet, one of which was broken so unusable. I had requested in advance that extra towels and washcloths be placed in the room, but they were not. When I called down to request them, it took 4 hours for them to be delivered. Note: One of the Front Desk clerks offered to give them to my husband to bring back to our room instead of being delivered by Housekeeping. She did not seem to recognize that my husband would not be able to carry them since he already was holding the 2 bottles of water we had to purchase and uses a cane to walk. Not a very perceptive Front Desk clerk. The next morning we were awakened unpleasantly when the alarm in the room went off at 5:00a. I have never stayed at a hotel where I needed to check to make sure the alarm was turned OFF from the previous guest's stay. The alarm clock has a large flat button on top which both turns the alarm on and off and which easily could be turned on if bumped or while Housekeeping is cleaning. I would recommend Housekeeping be trained to check to make certain the alarms are turned off as part of their duties and the Hotel consider replacing the alarms with something more practical. As we were checking out, I noticed there is an M Club off the lobby. Perhaps as a Platinum Elite member I would have been entitled to use the Club to obtain free water and continental breakfast. However, that was another thing not mentioned when we checked in, and since we were heading to an appointment when we checked out, the Club was of no use to us. Again, this Hotel was not terrible, but with a little effort and a bit less penny-pinching it could have been so much better. read more

Since it was the weekend after Valentine's Day, I decided to treat myself to a one-night staycation at a hotel that wasn't far from home. I knew that the Marriott Owings Mills Metro Centre recently opened (December 2021, I believe). I've always had a curiosity to check out new hotels. Besides, I wanted to check out The Tillery which is the restaurant located inside the hotel. When I arrived, I was wowed at how beautiful it was inside. I booked a King bedroom and I absolutely loved it! I loved the more modern and colorful decor in the room. The room was very clean and the bed was nice and comfy. It looks like Marriott is starting to stray away from the typical light colored decor in their hotels and really revamp the aesthetic of their new hotels. I felt like I was staying at some fancy boutique hotel at a fraction of the price. The service was great! I have no complaints about this stay, except the parking situation. There is a free parking garage but it is located across the street from the hotel. So either plan to park in front of the main entrance to drop your things off in your room or expect to walk a little ways with your belongings from the garage to the hotel. Luckily, I didn't have much to carry since I only stayed for one night. I can definitely see myself returning to this hotel for future staycation. read more

Brand new hotel! Extremely beautifully decorated. The staff are extremely attentive. The rooms were cool. If you like bright decor the rooms may not be your style. The rooms decor was dark, dark paint and dark colored furniture. I loved it, it was different. The bathroom was bright and lighted well, the only negative was there was no makeup mirror. The beds were comfy but the pillows were not, my neck was hurting when I woke up in the morning, but I always have this problem with feather pillows and I usually request foam pillows, but it totally slipped my mind. Robes were provided and slippers also. Walking distance to Giant, Costco, Marshalls, a movie theater and many many places to eat. Free parking was a short walk across from the hotel. We enjoyed our stay here, we'll be back. read more

Nice, comfy hotel.... Until their employees steal your luggage from their store room and 8 months later they still refuse to reimburse you for your loss. Manager never reached out to me to apologize or follow up after they admitted to having my luggage and not being able to find it. Only after completing my Marriott survey did he reach out via email to say he had turned my claim into the insurance company. DO NOT STAY HERE! Hilton has properties nearby, I recommend visiting those instead. read more

I booked my wedding here this year and had a less than desirable experience to say the least. From when we first booked the venue in late 2021 until our wedding in August 2022, three different representatives were assigned to us, which was worrisome as you can imagine with planning a big event, to be blindsided every three months that you were working with a new person and then having to explain everything to the new person all over again and hope they don't miss anything. The first two reps were great (Vicky and Morena). But the last representative (Kristin Piasecki) was not at all. 1. First, Kristin quoted us completely incorrect numbers for our remaining balance, letting us know we would only owe $415.48, then we were given a cost estimate later that showed we owed over $9,000 (which was also incorrect). After I ran the numbers myself and figured out the issue, I had to come back and let her know that the actual remainder should be around $5,000, which was accurate once she looked into it further. 2. She then asked if she could charge the card they previously had on file for the remaining balance which I told her no, that it was my mothers card and that I would be paying the remainder. I filled out a form with the credit card information for my card to authorize the last payment. She confirmed that she received it and that she would charge my card. She then asked their accounting department to charge my mothers card instead of mine (I saw/have the email in which she literally gave them the last four digits of my mothers card number), which she was not authorized to do and assured me that my card would be charged. She then had to try to get accounting to take the charge off my mothers account and charge my account instead. This never happened and after two weeks, my mom still had the charge on her account, and I had the same charge also. My mother had to call her bank to dispute the charge because it never fell off. So they charged a total of 10,000 for a balance of 5,000. 3. We had issues with the setup of the ceremony room, the night before the wedding we asked that it be changed to how we originally discussed it would be and we were assured it would happen and be changed later that evening. When we checked later that evening (we were staying that night at the hotel and could see it), it had not been changed so I sent an email to Kristin to let her know that this was not resolved. She never responded to my email the morning or day of the wedding. Just a couple hours before the wedding, we checked and it still was not fixed so I had to go in with my bridesmaids to fix the room and move the heavy stage ourselves. I still had not heard from Kristin before the wedding and the entire wedding day did not hear anything from her. 4. In the middle of the wedding day, when my husband and I finished taking pictures with our photographer during the cocktail hour, we headed back up from the stairs toward the elevators (on the second floor) to join our guests at the reception. We saw Kristin walking toward where we were but I don't believe she thought we had seen her just yet (but we had). She jumped behind one of the concrete columns by the elevators in an attempt to hide from us, for what I believe was to avoid us approaching her with any questions or concerns (especially since she did not answer any calls or emails that day or the day before). That behavior, in my opinion, was completely unprofessional. To be unavailable on the day of and to hide from your clients instead of dealing with any possible issues head on, is immature and unacceptable in my mind. I was very disappointed that this was how things were handled at the tail end of our experience with them. I waited to write an email to Kristin's supervisor, Diane Abrahams, in an attempt to enjoy my honeymoon and move into our new home. I told myself that if this was still bothering me once things had settled down, I would reach out. I would not want another bride to have to deal with what I did in attempting to just enjoy their day and have things go smoothly and not have to worry about issues or someone not attending to their needs on their big day after spending thousands of dollars for their services. I reached out to Diane Abrahams outlining the above and received no response as well. So it seems like there is a top to bottom lack of customer service and responsiveness, which is why I decided to leave a review. If you plan to use this hotel for your wedding or special event, just be aware that it will take several attempts to reach anyone or get responses/updates. And you may spend thousands just to end up doing the work yourself at the end on your special day! Once they've taken your money, they are hands off. Be aware. read more

Beautiful new Marriott. I love the modern decor. The bartender makes the best martinis! I had exceptional service in the bar and throughout the hotel. Housekeeping also did an excellent job keeping my room fresh and shining. I wish the hotel had bathtubs. In shipped in a portable bath tub to use. But otherwise absolutely loved everything. The parking across the street is handy too. I am a distance runner and enjoyed the trails at the river run. read more

OK, it took a while to get to review this Marriott but good things take time. By far the nicest Marriott I have stayed at. From the time I checked in I was put on a pedestal and upgraded to this "BombAss" Ultra luxury suite with floor to ceiling window views of the new very chic Village opening up.
