Fran is the most rude human with no compassion or kindness towards kids or parents. She calls herself a manager but I can't imagine that kind of person leading others. My sister was told one thing by an employee and Fran was incredibly insistent that it was false and she must have heard wrong. When my sister said I want my refund back I don't want to make Buisness with you no more Fran said be cause she cancelled an order she could never ever come back?!! Who makes that up like that to a mother of a Down syndrome child. Already dealing with her first child and sadly he has his troubles due to his syndrome and fran had to make my sister feel So low!! By screaming at her staff "oh now we have to disinfect this whole area" after my nephew sneezed. She didn't have the common courtesy to wait till she left to tell her staff. I want to give a huge 5 to Dr Tyler and Daniel Popilsky for the MOST amazing eye care service!! I came into the center with a bad eye infection,,, that was originally misdiagnosed at the hospital... I ended up going to eye center.. a week after the infection started, so to say the least it was way worse!! They were both soooo competent, thorough and super efficient in all area of treating my eye!! They we're super honest with me!! Explaining everything to the tee!!! Love them!! They had started me on a specific regimen... and in the office they made sure to make me super comfortable and literally took my scared situation to feeling so ASSURED that I was in the absolute best possible care!! So far, so good. As part of the first inaugural class, we experience all sorts of growing pain. However, the staff and faculty have treated us with nothing but respect in a timely manner. I do appreciate their effort in working out the kinks in making the program better. I've witness other starter programs and my, I have seen and heard some disastrous stories but so far, MBKU have not failed to deliver what they set out. University is ok though it's pretty small. Classmates and faculty members are fine too. But I have mixed feelings about those security guards at the parking lot. There's one particular male employee (I think he was a white Hispanic) and his mean personality is showing just by looking at him. Wouldn't be too surprising if he's still single because he's the type of man most women wouldn't like to date. On the other hand 2 lady guards are very nice. He needs to be more like them. Or at least try to be nicer to visitors and students. Everything else is great if he either gets relocated or leave the university. My first impression of this place is ruined thanks to him. But I'm glad at least I'm only visiting there for my friends. read more

I have now been waiting six(6) weeks for the eyeglass store on the first floor of the Marshall B. Ketchum optometry university to make my glasses. Six weeks ago, I had a 90-minute appointment with a Ketchum optometry doctor. A "Resident." She was extremely proficient, conscientious, and professional. This was the best eye exam I have ever had. I would easily give the doctor 5 stars. But this review is about the eyeglass store that the doc walked me down to -- and their lab. Now, admittedly, these were two complicated prescriptions. So, I assume that one must extrapolate from whatever timeframe applies to simple prescriptions. But 6 weeks (so far!) is too long. Either the "simple scrip" time is too long, or the "add-on" time is too long, or both. By the way, after about a month, I asked someone at the eyeglass store for an estimated timeframe. He said he would not give a timeframe, because he might "jinx it." Is jinxing really a law of physics in how the universe works? read more

This is as good as it gets as far as eye exams. I have been here 4-5 times and every time it was very extensive and accurate. They communicate and check their results with each other. I learned more than I ever have about my own vision and eyecare. Joann was very patient and professional and answered all my questions. I don't think I have ever been to a better vision center with the compassion and care they give here. read more

This place is so messed up and disorganized.I called their admission advisor to schedule a one-on-one appointment. He told me to meet him at 11am with my transcript and said it would be no longer than 30min. I arrive there around 10:45 and waited for almost an hour before a guy finally showed up to give us a tour and group info session. I asked him if I can see the dean directly and he told me NO it wouldn't help. So I thought i can finally talk to the dean after spending another hour at their info session, the same guy told me there were several ppl waiting for the dean, so it might not be my turn until 3pm. WTF?? Then I see two faculty members getting into an loud argument for the whole place to hear one saying your looking for someone to blame. One person screaming about a group of student and showing his phone to the other guy. Definitely violating student privacy and causing a scene for all the students there to witness. People were throwing food and talking in ghetto English then went that's what happens when you accept *insert race* students. All this with prospective students visiting what happens when your not on your best behavior. WTF?? read more

I and my sister purchased a pair of Versace eyeglasses in May 2019 for my mom as a Mother's day gift at the shop they have next to the university. Just after 3 months, however, my mom dropped it in a parking lot and a car run over it. Her eyeglasses was crushed and completely destroyed.. As it had only manufacturer warranty, we knew that they wouldn't be able to do anything for the damage. But I called the shop just to see if they could do anything for us and a gentleman who picked up my call told me to bring it in and see what they could do. So we did. He first tried his best to fix it, and after seeing it wouldn't be able to be back to functional shape, he offered us an amazing thing; 20% off for a new frame and free prescription glasses! My mom was able to get a brand new pair for just $180 instead of $350! Moreover, he saw some parts are missing in my mom's spare eyeglasses and fixed it using parts they have for free! My mom, who was so shocked by what happened to her eyeglasses we bought for her, was so grateful and able to get over with the shocking incident. I go to the university for my annual eye checkup, but staff there are always very nice and helpful. Would definitely recommend this office and, of course, the shop!! read more

I am a first year Pharmacy student at Marshall B. Ketchum University and would like to share my experience with others thinking about which Pharmacy Schools to attend. I began applying for Pharmacy Schools all over the country back in July 2015 and began interviewing around November 2015. To become a Pharmacist is not an easy task, you must first complete all the pre-pharmacy courses which are by far the most difficult classes to pass. Make no mistake, just passing these classes won't get you into Pharmacy School, you must master these subjects by earning mostly A's and some B's. Grades are just the beginning, then comes experience and other related credentials that stands out among other qualified applicants. To make a long story short, my grades were not the best but I had many other attributes which other Pharmacy Schools ignored because they were too busy to read every application and based their decision to grant an interview solely on GPA. Marshall B Ketchum University took the time to evaluate the whole application and was able to make a more informed decision. I think GPA is overrated just like credit scores. People are people not numbers and should be treated like people. Even though I was accepted to numerous Pharmacy Schools I chose Ketchum because I really like the way they treated everyone with respect and dignity. Those other schools that select their students mainly on GPA would probably produce Pharmacist that treat the patients the same way they were treated, like a number. It's too early to rate the teaching staff now but so far everyone seems to be genuine and compassionate about the program. I'm glad I chose this school because I have hopes that this school will help me become a better person, not to mention a more competent and compassionate pharmacist. read more
