I come here to hunt. Not to shop. I containerized my pantry with sistema brand containers from Marshall's for 1/5 the price that I was tempted to pay at the container store. I also regularly see quality towels, baby items, furniture and some pretty good brands too. I feel like every time I go I see a Cynthia Rowley jacket I love and even some of her housewares. I'd avoid the shoes though. Unless you really like last year's Steve Madden shoes. I was hosting a baby shower and we did the infamous baby onesie decoration game. I bought bulk gerber and Carter's onesies here and it was definitely cheaper than amazon. read more

This location is a lot smaller than the one in San Leandro. Though this location has tons of name brand stuff like Melissa & Doug, Ralph Lauren, Kate Spade, etc. I love how its clean and the employees are super nice. read more

Love this place, especially for a low cost, comparable quality solution! They literally always have what I need for a couple bucks less every time! The other day I needed some cereal containers so I went to Target. They had these nice ones for $24.99. I decided to pass and went over to the Marshalls next door (this Marshalls). I love a good bargain! I usually don't go into Marshall's except for when it's close to the holidays or when the seasons change. It seems to be when they have the most new stuff. I ended up buying all the gifts that I gave my co workers at this Marshall's. This store is fairly organized than most discount stores and have some high end name brands. I almost got myself a pair of Coach fuzzy boots, but they were not my size. Grr! That is the only problem with the store, you have to have the time to hunt and peck for the good stuff. read more

When this place 1st opened it was so organized &clean. But now it's messy! I know when you go in here you must dig &find goodies but really! C'mon! A lot of the things are missing pricing stickers...too bad that doesn't mean free haha! The staff could either use an energy boost or drop of kindness. They usually are bothered by you, grumpy or rushing you through the line. No bueno! But they have a great selection once you get passed the negatives at unbeatable prices! Sometimes I find some good deals on name brand clothing. It's kind of a hit or miss depending on when you come in. Some times it seems like they need more people working the registers. One time I left the line because i waited in the line for too long and there were only a couple people on the registers. read more

I shop at his store all the time. The lady that work on the fitting room is very nice.(Sarah and Margarita) The employee is friendly. Woman's Dept. is always organized Feliza and lady name Carol is one of the best worker @ this store. WHY ALL THE RESTROOM @ MARSHALL IS SMELL SO BAD. Do you have a janitor? U need to hire one. I hadn't been in a Marshalls for a long time, and was pleasantly surprised to find a nice vase (something that wasn't made in China) at a bargain price. I didn't find anything else here that was on my list, and the checkout line was long, but I'll come back again when I'm looking for housewares. read more

I love this store! This is my go-to store for my fashions. I refuse to spend so much at a department store and my aunt is a total influence on me when it comes to great bargain shopping. I think my best buy was when i got 2 pairs of jeans at $7 each!! CLEARANCE!! Originally priced at $60 each, I saved a bundle... and then some!! $14 compared to $120... The store manager (Linda L.) goes above and beyond for her customers! I'm impressed with Linda's knowledge about their corporate policies and she is very thoughtful and understanding of her customers. The store is cleaner than so many other Marshalls I've been in. The employees are super efficient and they ask what you need while you are in line waiting to reach the register. Great system and results and fast movement in the line so you don't get frustrated! The selection was not too bad, I think there are times when they are so packed with variety and other times, not so much. In general, this is a well run store. I really like this Marshall's store. I typically come here for house and kitchen items. And while yes, it is a bit like a treasure hunt, I am usually pretty happy with what I come away with. Last week I was looking for new cutlery trays for my kitchen. I found some nice ones at Bed Bath and Beyond which is pretty much next door. Found the same ones at Marshal for 50% off. Sweet! I am writing this today because my wife had the worst shopping experience in the makeup section at Marshalls in Fremont. This store in the past has sold products which are either used or broken inside the package so my wife was opening the lipstick packages just to make sure it was not used or damaged inside because we have had terrible customer service at this location whenever we had to return stuff because they try to pin it on us. After ensuring that the lipstick packages were in good condition she grabbed them in order to buy the product. All of a sudden this associate comes upto her and tells her you need to come to customer service and my wife got bewildered and asked why to which the associate looked lost as she could not explain and had to check on her headphone mic to see what happened. My wife was wearing a blue beannie and she heard the "one with the blue beanie which made her feel like she was a thief. The associate then told her not to use the makeup to do swatches which my wife said where do you see it on my hand. The associate was unable to reply because my wife never used the product. She was simply making sure she did not buy a used or damaged product. She had found a lipstick that was not used or damaged and she had it in her hand to buy.The associate proceeded to tell my wife not to use the product on her skin in a stern manner. This was terrible customer service because it should have been handled much better. Granted my wife should not have opened the boxes but the associate should have explained that to her upfront. She should have been told ma'am we do not allow you to open packages and refrain from doing that and if you need help you can check with customer service. Instead she was made to look as if she was trying to steal a $1.99 lipstick. I did reach out to the manager and complained about the issue and explained the situation but of course she could only apologise and not really address the issue which is lack of good training and when i advised her we would not be coming back she did not offer any consolation and remorse like I am sorry about this and will work to ensure it wont happen again. I love shopping around, and I can feed my addiction shopping at Marshalls, without breaking the bank! They have all the new styles at great prices. It sounds so cliche but its true! I once bought a pair of snakeskin Nine West pumps for only $15, and recently I bought cute designer shorts for $8! I had very bad experience at this store because the rude, impolite and non professional manage, Linda, ask me to leave the store. In the beginning I thought she was just loud. Then she is race discrimination. I told her I would buy the rugs that my dog is sitting on it. She doesn't believe I would buy it. After a few sentences, she asked me to leave the store. Went to return some boots and the receipt the store gave me doesn't match. Waiting in line! Just to let you know they also don't let you pay your bill here. If I could give zero Stars I would, their Store return policy is horrendous. I would not shop at the store ever again, my card will be cut up and never will I be in here again. They would not return my boots, I did try them on in my apartment and they said that they were worn. How else is a girl supposed to see if they fit right. Do not shop here! BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE (not that I had high hopes). The cashier REFUSED to check a price for 2 items. I was purchasing other items and just wanted to see if they were on sale. She told me if there was no tag, it was not on sale. I asked her to ring it to confirm, but she refused. She just kept saying it wasn't on sale. She didn't explain why she would not confirm the items price. She asked another worker if it was on sale to "confirm" and she just said, "not on sale". I would have checked it myself, but there are no self price check stations at this store. Absolutely ridiculous. Never in my life has a cashier refused to confirm a price. This place is such a mess it is highly likely that items that are on sale won't have a tag or be in the clearance section. This is the most basic of cashier tasks. I worked in retail for many years, never did I refuse to confirm a price no matter how confident I was that it was not on sale. And if I did, I would have been written up or fired. Lately my wife and I have been shopping at the "Hub" store, as we are finding some very nice stuff. However, lately, the temperature in the place hovers around 80 degrees and if the atmosphere was more suitable, I would stay longer.
