When I worked in the area I would frequent this Marshalls pretty regularly. I stopped by tonight, for the first time in a while. They currently have the end of summer, yellow tag clearance, across the whole store. There are so many great bargains everywhere. They have shoes, tops and dresses for $10 - $13. Of course the regular priced items are also bargains in comparison to other retailers. I especially liked their furniture section. Certain sections are very messy, and others are a bit more orderly. Unfortunately the associates working here could use some training on how to be more professional. This is a well stocked Marshalls with a large assortment of items. read more

Usually hit or miss for me, but my recent visit was a hit. I'm not sure if the organization at this location is kept up as well as it could be. A lot of clothing is out of place and it makes finding things tough. I was able to secure a cute skirt and dress! Customer service is friendly depending on which cashier you get. I think if things were a bit more organized I'd want to stay inside and explore more, but I'm usually in and out if they don't have what I came in for. read more

Service is terrible on the bases that they only have 2 people working at the register and the workers are not motivated to do move with a purpose. I've been waiting 10-15 minutes to have someone assist me to buy some cologne and this is not the first or second time this happens. read more

I went to Marshall, located in Hartford, to return my online order. I regretted immediately that I went tot hat store. Unprofessional, untrained and disrespectful customer service! At first, cashier asked others how to process online order. Then, she asked her manager if they can accept the condition of the shoes. Shoes were brand new and I didn't try them even. Then they stated that my receipt doesn't' work for them. I handled them original receipt that came with order and showed order confirmation info on my phone. They didn't know how process online return and they aggressively told me that their store not accepting my return and I can go to any other Marshall's stores or for online return. Their attitude was abusive and disrespectful like they own that store and I'm just unwanted guest. After I left this store, I went to Marshall in Wethersfield location and it took 5 minutes for cashier to process my return! I was treated very professionally and with respect. I work hard for my money and I'll NEVER SHOP IN MARSHALL'S, especially in Hartford, AGAIN!!! read more

This Marshalls use to have nice customer service, but not anymore unfortunately . I was there today am I had to experience a cashier disrespecting her supervisor , responding very defensive and stepping over her authority , even though this supervisor was being very kind; all while ringing up my items. It was just an awful experience. Is not the first time I have this same experience with this same cashier in this Marshalls. This location is a hidden gem. I find it to be less crowded than other Marshalls and I always mange to find some great bargains. There are so many options in the women's department and everything is so organized. I especially love the handbag and shoe sections. There's always an array of name brand designers to choose from with such reasonable prices. My only complaint is that sometimes only one cashier is working and the line will build up. I love Marshall's, and usually go to a Marshalls/Homegoods store. Today I decided to visit a smaller location. The selection was very limited as there are particular brands that my family wears. The shoe department was limited with sizes but had a decent variety of brands. Due to the lack of quantity and brands of merchandise I would have given less stars, but today I met the most helpful employee I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Right now his name escapes me, but he works in the shoe department. He stopped what he was doing to assist me in finding styles my family members would like and looked for their sizes. Im very impressed by this Marshall's. It's usually neat and organized, the lines go fast (even when they're longggg), the staff is courteous, and they're always getting new merchandise. Taking all of the above into consideration I think I've named just about everything you could want in a Marshall's. I came during Christmas week to find the displays and aisles neat and organized, that's no small fete for the holiday season! The line was long (as expected) but they had cashiers at every post and moved things along as quickly as possible. The staff is professional and nice. I came twice in the same week (the second time to return something) and found new merchandise on the shelves (so my return turned into more of an exchange). All in all a great Marshall's! read more

Compared to the horrific WalMart in this same plaza, this Marshalls is very neat and clean, and has pretty good customer service. A good place to shop. read more
