It's in the US, so I guess it's US Marshalls

It's time to Marshall the troops by writing a review of Marshalls. This is a good Marshalls store with a good selection that we come to regularly when we are up and down the Katy freeway. It's across from a lot of big stores including some rivals and similar stories with the same ownership in the Bunker Hill Plaza, but if you're over here on the "Angry Inch" Hedwig Village side of the highway which is the south side, then this is your best bet, and is brand new.

One of my friends told me to shop at this particular Marshall's as he got a few good deals. So I drove down to check them out. It is setup like most other Marshall's that i have visited. I was looking for a couple of golf shirts but there were no deals to be found here today. I did purchase a few other things that were on clearance and were great deals. They have a very large clearance section so I wasn't in any rush and took my time to look them over. In the end I will visit again of i am in their area.

I don't know why I always think if I go to a Marshall's on a wealthier side of town the selection will be a lot better than if I visit a Marshall's on a more middle-lower class area, well maybe that statement can be a bit true sometimes! On this case, it wasn't true. The selection was just OK; I was preferably looking at the shoe department, purses, clearance aisle, specialty foods, and juniors. Oh, lets not forget about the ladies restroom which was very disgusting and needed to be cleaned! The smell was nose bleeding bad, I'm not sure how I could tolerate it without making a mess of the floor. The shoe department didn't have any cute flat shoes just OK looking ones that was still expensive. If you wear a size 9 1/2 don't come looking here to find any cute nice shoes on the clearance rack because you won't find anything. You'd think if I just squeeze my feet into a size 8 1/2 shoe maybe it could work; nope I wouldn't advise you do that! The purses were alright if you just that type of gal that likes a nice purse that looks like the next person's; that's not OK by me because I prefer a purse that no one has ever seen before or something along the unique side or strange. The clearance aisle is exactly why I see they didn't add any meaningful things to the clearance. It was bunch of notebooks, picture frames, broken this and that, and cups. The foods; mostly anything that is health food addict, jams, teas, and seasonings. Nothing that will catch your eye. Oh, and those Walker biscuits that taste like cardboard literally. Last, but not least the juniors section was fairly nice if you wear a size XS or S. The graphic tees nowadays aren't even worth buying because you might as well consider yourself a hipster . I expected more from this store and honestly I guess now I am glad that my boyfriend was rushing me out the store, so we could go study.

So like no guidance for shoppers in line definitely people are not six feet they need place markers or have staff help guide

Great place to buy some house furnishing and a reasonable price. This place has a pretty large selection of home goods. Pretty contemporary. The clothes are still pretty pricey but overall still a good variety to choose from. Things are pretty scatter and a lot disorganized, but still a good place to shop.

    Quality of "designer's " clothes

I used to LOVE Marshall's and was loyal customer for years. But today I faced to totally unfair return policy! I bought "designer's" sweater with a lot of pearls and rhinestones sewn on it. This item had red tag on it. Ones I remove this tag fletchers become non returnable. That's ok, sells person told me this at check out. So I came back home, tried sweater, like it and removed tag with purpose to wear. After I shake sweater to get read of dust. And know what, a lot of rhinestones and pearls simply fallen of all around the floor. When I came back to Marshall's and tried to return defective product I was rejected because of store policy about stuff with removing red tag is non returnable. I asked for exemption for me from this policy being customer who spend hundreds in store. Still no! I understand policy, but stuff with hidden imperfections and defects SHOULD be returnable no matter what. So, be wise buying their "designer's" clothes. Instead of giving hard time to Marshall's buyers who brought trashy stuff to store they will give it to you!

This as.organized. And clean as I have seen a Marshall's, the checkout is painfully slow. You can search among labels with Memorial ladies who lunch

This was a strange one for me. Not used to seeing this combination of Marshall's and Home Goods together. Typically in California they slap TJ Maxx and Home Goods together, then organize things on each corresponding side, which I find helpful. I found the store to be pretty clean, well stocked and organized. Unfortunately the line was just way too long for a Tuesday afternoon (2pm-ish). And since I had only found one item I decided to leave it there even though I had already waited for a few minutes, as there was no movement in the line, just a whole lot of employees adding sensors to returned items and seemingly walking around aimlessly behind the counter, avoiding eye contact w/ customers. Seems it would've been more effective to have management address the fact that there weren't enough registers open. I counted four.

    Yum!

They have everything you need at a good price. Even with this inflation it's a good price for almost ever item sold here.

Great selection of cute gifts for brides , religious themed items and gifts for men who may already have everything. A few sale items . Expect to pay full price but definitely worth a browse. The moment we walked in, the staff began following us around like we were about to steal something... It wasn't subtle, and it definitely wasn't welcoming. We came specifically to shop for Jellycats. While my daughter was picking one out, my 2 year old accidentally knocked over a $15 trinket that was placed right next to the toys. It broke. I immediately apologized and offered to pay for the accident, but the old woman maybe manager/owner just turned her back and walked off without saying a word. No professionalism, no acknowledgment. Still, we made a purchase, about $50 for Jellycat and a small toy. The store tries hard to give off an upscale, curated vibe, but the service is pure snooty attitude and fake class. We're in town from Rockwall, Texas the smallest and wealthiest county in the state, about 20 minutes from Dallas, fortunately we don't need to steal outdated trinkets. The fake-classy attitude here is laughable. snooty staff, zero warmth, and absolutely no sense of how to treat customers. If you're expecting grace, charm, or even basic decency, keep looking.

After a couple of other stops, we finished at Macy's because we knew that if no one else had what we were looking for, we'd find it there. We probably should have saved time and just started at Macy's. The team was extremely helpful, routing us to the right places and sizes, making recommendations, helping me find sale items, etc. Hoda was particularly helpful, helping my wife find appropriate sizes when the ones she picked didn't work (women's sizes are crazy, a number should be the same across all items) and getting us checked out in a timely manner. We came for one item and, thanks to a couple of sales, left with three. I probably won't have much use for the women's dress section again, but I'll be coming back to Macy's specifically because of the service we received.

Title: CUSTOMER SERVICE - INFLATING PRICES BEFORE A SALE?…read more I visited Macy's on July 25, 2026, and was excited to browse the Last Act clearance section. While shopping, I found what I thought was an incredible deal: a Mickey Mouse Cartoon-Themed Mid-Drift Sweatshirt. The receipt showed a regular price of $64.00, marked down to a final purchase price of $9.46. I was thrilled with my find and couldn't wait to wear it. However, when I got home and removed the tags, I decided to look underneath the clearance stickers. To my surprise, the original manufacturer's price tag showed the sweatshirt was actually priced at $60.00, not the $64.00 regular price reflected on the receipt and sale tags. As a customer, I found this very concerning. It's not about the $4 difference. It's about transparency and honesty. Seeing a higher "regular price" advertised than what appears to have originally been on the item's tag raises questions about how discounts are being presented to customers. I understand prices can change over time, and retailers may have different pricing structures. However, from a consumer's perspective, it feels misleading when the advertised original price used to calculate a discount is higher than the price shown on the product's original tag. Customers should be able to trust that sale prices and savings are being represented accurately. Because of this, I have already contacted Macy's Corporate Customer Service and provided photographs of both the receipt and the item's barcode tag for review. Again, this is not about the amount of money involved. I still received the sweatshirt for a great price. This is about the principle of the matter and maintaining an honest, transparent shopping experience for customers. Retailers should strive to build trust, not create doubt about whether advertised savings are truly what they appear to be. I hope Macy's reviews this situation and provides clarification regarding its pricing practices. Rating: (2/5 Stars) Great clearance find, but disappointing concerns regarding pricing transparency and customer trust.
