I like the fact that they have private restrooms. Location is usually better stocked than any other Marshalls or Ross that I have been to. Cashiers work on getting you checked out as quickly as possible. read more

I will never shop at this store again. I found a shirt labeled by the store with 2 tags. One for $34 and one for $19, I did not even see the higher price before getting to the register and it being scanned. It was brought to the cashiers attention, she aknowledged this was the store's mistake. So half the cashiers were saying to give it for the smaller price on principle. Yet she refused. Never have I seen a retail store admit it was their fault but not honor the mistake. read more

I love Marshalls!! Better bargains than TJ Maxx and way better selection than Ross! This Marshalls is better than the other one in Matthews at least for me, I was able to find way more deals and there is SPACE to move around. The other location is cramped and seemed way busier. I'd much rather have some space to breathe while shopping that have to say excuse me fifty times while squeezing my cart through aisles. This a solid Marshalls and yes the check out line is weird but if you research this it is actually the fastest way to check out customers. read more

This Marshall's is located in the shared parking lot with a few other stores and there's plenty of parking. This store is a discount place where there are several people typically in the store you can find a good deal. You will search because they have soo many items and they may not be where you think it would be located. The issue I saw is the items that are marked down and additional clearance with the red tags are just thrown around where they are usually opened items, used items, or even broken, and they just need to be really thrown away if it's grocery or bath/body. I don't know why they even bother to sale it. The lines are typically long. You have to be someone who doesn't mind a crowd, has time, patience, and resourcefulness. Happy hunting! read more

You can find some pretty good finds in this store, but you really have to FIND them. There are a lot of times I've been in here and stuff seems to be just thrown on the shelves and not organized in anyway. It could be a matter of customers messing up things, but I have never seen an employee trying to straight up anything - it could just be bad timing on my part. The good thing is that the store layout doesn't really change so that you can run in, go to the sections you need to go to, and get out in a couple of minutes if you don't find what you are looking for. I don't really appreciate the way they 'herd' the register line into one big line with all this stuff (impulse buys) on baskets and shelves that create the barrier... but you only have to deal with it once in a while... REALLY REALLY bad for the mom's with kids since a lot of the impulse buys are toys and gadgets. read more

My review is a result of a disturbing transaction that occurred in the Matthews store yesterday. I pulled 2 identical pillows from the markdown aisle and went to the register to pay for them. One was priced $25.00 and the other was marked at $15.00. I told the clerk that I would like to buy them both, as long as they were both the $15.00 price. She turned to an associate to ask for advice. The $15.00 price tag was scanned, and I was told that the item had been priced incorrectly; that it should be $25.00. I then said I would like to buy the $15.00 pillow, but I was told I could only purchase it for $25.00. What??? I've never been to a store where the price tag is removed and replaced with a higher price right in front of me! A fellow shopper witnessed the exchange and told me she thought what the store had done was wrong. I was appreciative of her comments. I spoke to the manager who proceeded to tell me she did not know who had marked the item incorrectly, but that when merchandise goes to the checkout it's the final "review". She was talking about all manner of things instead of listening to my complaint. She had a ready defense. It was as if we were talking about two different topics. I moved to Matthews almost 2 years ago, and I've spent thousands (truly) in this store supplying my home with numerous items from furniture to kitchen wares. I'm going to avoid this store for obvious reasons. This was not right. read more

I have been shopping at the Matthew's location of Marshalls for over 10 years. In the past 6 months, this store quality has severely declined. The associates are not friendly. About two weeks ago I went into this location with my mom and we both had returns. The lady behind the counter told my mom you all do not return food items. My mom explained to the cashier that she had just bought the item, it was stale and sour and still within the expiration date. The manager for the day was next to the associate helping my mother, and said they would make an exception for that day. My mom finished her return and I was still waiting at the next register over to complete my return. An additional associate came up and was upset that they had returned another food item. The associate who completed my mothers return stated that my mother was a lier and just didn't want the product anymore. (If that was the case, I don't think it would have been a full item.) The manager, cashier and additional associate all laughed about it and continued to mock my mother. This behavior is rude and unacceptable for any customer service associates. A couple days later I decided to give the store a try again. I was making a purchase. I walked up to the counter and the cashier was speaking in Spanish to the cashier next to her. The associate looked at me and continued her conversation without saying a word to me. She rung up the item, told me the cost, and continued to hold her conversation, all without making eye contact or saying anything else to the paying customer! If this kind of behavior continues at the Matthews Marshalls, I will not be back. I have contacted Marshalls, so we will see what they say. read more

Recently, my mother had purchased a pair of pants for $35 at this location. They did not fit, so naturally, we drove to Marshalls to return them. Upon ringing the pair of pants up, the cashier told us it was tagged as a t-shirt. The pants had the tag on them, and we had the receipt, that clearly showed we paid $35 dollars for those pants, yet the manager and assistant manager treated me, a fourteen year old child, and my mother like criminals in front of everyone in the store. The most shocking part, we had a pile of other items we were going to purchase, that was well over $35 dollars, closer to $100. We were mortified, and left the store without purchasing anything, nor any store credit. Next time you plan to shop at Marshalls, remember how they treat their loyal customers in the event you must return an item. read more

Marshalls can be really hit or miss for me depending on the location, and this particular location tends more often to be a miss. I typically frequent Marshalls when I am looking for organic or natural body care items (great prices for these compared to big box or online), candles, or home decor. Unfortunately, this Marshalls never seems to be well-stocked or organized. As noted with other reviews, you really have to dig if you are looking for something specific. It's also strangely uncommon for me to leave a store without buying something, and that seems to happen often when I visit this location. read more

This branch is just okay. It's slightly larger than other Marshalls but everything is just more spread out. I usually look for purses my sisters will enjoy and they carry a lot of dooneys casually scattered. I barely see them on clearance here though. read more

Marshalls is one of my go-to stores for getting work clothing, particularly dress shirts and ties. This location has what seems to be a decent selection of other things, but it is seriously lacking in dress shirts and ties, especially compared to some other Marshalls locations. I keep coming here because it is on my way to and from work, but with the convenience of location comes headaches and frequent disappointment. read more

I've seen better and I've seen worst. This marshalls is ok. Mostly organized but it Is a bit dirty. I think they should take some time and clean a bit. Maybe that's just my opinion. Ok selection of clothing. I mostly go in and look at all the kitchen and home decor. read more
