I had one of the best massage experiences in a long time today at heavenly massage! This was my first time, but my friend goes often. I had a 90 minute and I believe I had Dawn? She helped get the knots and tension out of my hip and sciatic nerve. I could feel an immediate difference after the slight pain from the pressure. It was well worth it, I trusted her expertise lol my massage was also aromatherapy infused with eucalyptus. After the massage you had the choice to either take a steam shower or use hot towels. I opted for the the steam shower and when I tell you I felt like a new woman after both experiences! They let you take your time, I never felt rushed. The steam shower was in its own private room, you got a robe once your massage finished to walk to the steam shower. They had towels and water waiting. I was in heaven so they held up to their name! Awesome front desk staff! Pleasant and polite, explained the different massages as well as the different sense they use for oils. The massage was good, not too strong, just right! The pricing is a little on the high side but they do have some great deals if you buy gift certificates or do the monthly membership. It's very awesome that they offer a shower, an added bonus with hot steam, and you can take as long as you want, you are not rushed. Nice and clean room, on the smaller side, but enough room to get undressed and put your clothes away. For a Birthday Gift for my fiancé I thought it would be nice to book a couples massage. Thankfully, Heavenly Massage was able to take us in. With 3 hours until our scheduled appointment, I received a phone call saying they had to cancel on us because of staff having an emergency so they were short. We received a call yesterday to confirm our appointment. I fully understand emergencies happen, but when we had planned this in advance for a special occasion this is extremely disappointing. We were offered $10 off one of the massages if we wanted to reschedule. When I asked for someone in management, I was advised they wouldn't be back for a few weeks as they are on vacation. My husband and I scheduled hr long facials followed by an hour long massage, when we finished our facial we were told that the couples room was still occupied and asked if we could wait 10 mins. Went with a Groupon for a 60 minute facial. Wanted to look good for my birthday! I had lunch planned with my husband and parents soon after the massage nearby so it worked out well. Donna did a great job with the facial. I have very naturally dry skin, and get frequent facials. She did a very thorough job of cleansing, exfoliating, and hydrating my skin. She used current to help with facial tightening and did an oxygen treatment to help with skin also. Part of the facial also included hand/arm massage as the mask was setting in. My therapist wore her mask below her nose and I could feel her breathing on me. My massage was VERY disappointing. Its was maybe 65min at most, she had a plug in clock that was flashing 12 as her start time. There wasn't much of a "massage" as there was just rubbing up and down my back with little pressure for at least 40min. All of my knots were ignored, my arms were left out, my legs and feet got maybe 2-3min each, and then the neck/shoulder "massage" was her rubbing my jaw and moving my head. All in all I had my first time experience at a spa here. I am currently pregnant where my husband bought a package which included manicure, pedicure, facial, and a 60 min. massage. First, the hour long massage turned into a 30 minute one, not sure if it's because they switched it to a prenatal massage and it's shorter but I was severely disappointed in that since I was in need of a good massage. Secondly, I went last Saturday where within a few days my nails were completely chipped. I do not do any heavy lifting and I work from home as I'm pregnant. I called and the man said, "yeah that's normal for it to chip but if you come in for a color change it'll be $10.00." First of all if I go to any nail salon my nails do not chip within a few days from doing nothing other than relaxing and showering and secondly I'm not paying more money when I can spend it elsewhere knowing it won't chip as well as having to drive 30 minutes for a color change when it'll just chip again within a few days. DO NOT COME HERE FOR a prenatal massage! My sister recently entered her second trimester and was in great need of a massage. When I made the appointment, I emphasized that she's pregnant told them she's 4 months and is looking forward to using her gift card for the services. She also noted this in the form upon arrival, the very FIRST question; "Are you pregnant?" The massage therapist asked her to lay on her stomach, which she said No. I can't, I'm pregnant. So she said to lay on her back flat. After almost 30 minutes, my sister got very concerned and said she felt a little dizzy so the MT rolled up a towel for her in an attempt to make her comfortable but it didn't prop her up at all. I booked an hour massage at Heavenly Massage in Schaumburg. My appointment didn't start until 4:05 and I was in my car by 4:50, so I did not get the full hour of my massage. Secondly halfway through my massage, someone walked into the room and started talking to my massage therapist. My massage therapist was female and the voice was male. Completely unprofessional. When I asked to see the manager, he was no in and they asked me to call the next day. I called the next morning and spoke with the manager, he said he would look into the situation and call me back in an hour. Two hours, I did not have a call back. I had to call a second time and was told that after looking into the situation, the massage therapist claims nobody came into the room and that she did, in fact give me the full massage time. So my husband wanted to do a couples massage and booked it for a 60 minute massage. Drove 1 hour and 15 minutes to get there for them to tell us the room isn't available and was leaking water. Why didn't anyone call us and tell us this?!? Of course we don't want to loose 2 peoples money. Mind you I live two minutes away from the Orland park location but unfortunately they aren't doing couples massages at the moment so we were told to come to the one in Schaumburg.
