I don't come here often but I had an agenda to find bulk clothing for kids. Prices are fair for the stuff I was buying but the staff made me feel very uncomfortable when I said no to apply for a credit card. She asked and asked and asked and it wasn't enough that she didn't take no for an answer then a tall man came and started with me to why not get a credit card, and and very loud and everyone around can hear him, that made me explain why I can't. I'm just annoyed how I can't just pay and leave... ask once and take no for an answer and do not be pushy and aggressive to sell a credit card. I think if they go through their camera system, I was asked at least 10 times between the two of them. I'm still annoyed typing this. That is not customer service if that's what you're aiming for. read more

Member Mornings in Pasadena, California... Shopping at this location of Marshalls was an excellent experience! Because I have a TJX credit card, I'm able to shop one hour earlier on VIP Weekends! I also get a free gift (this time it was a soft cooler) and a chance to win a gift card! While I was waiting for my name to be called, I looked at the luggage, toy department, accessories, personal care items, and shoes. Remember that there are clearance areas in each department, so look for those red stickers - especially on Hello Kitty merchandise!!! When my name was called for the gift card, I used it on a cross-body phone holder. It's practical and useful! The manager Don is very rude. Would not accept a return. It was past the 30 day window but after that it is store credit. This is upheld at other locations. Even if the item could not be accepted for whatever reason, there is no need to be rude to the customer. It is very simple to nicely inform the customer that unfortunately the return cannot be accepted. Will think twice before giving our money to this location again. read more

When you have that go to place to walk around and try NOT to get something and end up getting something when you leave you know it'll happen again but can't stop coming -___- This is that Marshall's that I will try to not buy something but end up buying something. The staff are very nice and makes you feel like if you don't buy it, then you made the trip for a nice walk around in a fully AC and stocked full of fun things to look at and read of a store. I can tell that on specific days, can't really tell which days so I'd have to ask again, when they put items on clearance, the items are super affordable but make sure you're not getting something broken or barfly useful. We would walk from right side and then make our way to the cashier and then around the middle. Overall, I'd say this is a nicer Marshall's that I do enjoy staying longer to look around and have some indoor window shopping other than the mall. read more

As another reviewer mentioned, this store has an awful smell! I don't know what's been going on recently, but I went in a couple months ago and had to immediately leave because it smelled so bad. They had the doors open as if something happened, but I went in again this week after not shopping there for a while and the odor is still faintly there. Recently came here to do some bargain shopping with my friend. I mean, how can you go wrong with a discount store? You'll never know when you'll find your next hidden gem. On my recent visit I found a pair of nice Zara boots which were originally marked for $129.99, however, at Marshall's, they were $24.99. Straight to my shopping cart they went! I've been coming to this Marshalls for a few years now. The selection of items is definitely good but the overall workers can use some improvement. There are nice workers but the rude ones out weigh them. The mangers are very unprofessional and not very pleasant. The manager Rebecca is a very difficult and miserable person and also always seems like she isn't even sober. The fact that a big business would even allow their employees let alone their manager to act so unprofessional is astonishing. I guess they'll hire anyone nowadays. One of the biggest Marshalls we've visited, this location in the Hastings Ranch Plaza has plenty of space for browsing but doesn't seem to have as much inventory as one would expect for a store this size. Marshalls and Home Goods are owned by the same company (TJMaxx), and are pretty consistent in the brands they carry and the checkout process. So for us, it's always worth a stop in to see what is on sale. Some stops for me are the Men's clearance section, Men's shoes, and the gourmet food section. My wife stops by the Beauty and Pet sections, so we separately rather quickly once we enter the store. Didn't end up buying anything, and there was one point of aggravation: there are no places to sit down when trying on shoes. The selection of discounted shoes was pretty small to begin with, but when I did find one I wanted to try on, I realized there was no place to sit down to try them on. This has to be intentional, but then of course, was wondering 'Why'. Not a great thing when that was my biggest takeaway from our trip. read more

The store is clean, organized, and has a lot of different styles and stock. I was able to find what I was looking for very easily with the help of the coordinator/worker in home. Bryan was my cashier and he was extremely friendly and even let me know about the rewards credit card. He folded my clothes neatly, had amazing customer service, and was very patient. This might be my first review on a Marshall's. I'm usually on my restaurant journey. But I felt inclined to write this review today because my experience was absolutely phenomenal. The store for one was impeccable, spotless, and constantly being looked after. Everything was easy to find so I was in and out. But the main reason I'm writing the review is because of two employees that I found made an extreme difference not only in my shopping experience, but the customers around me. Marcus was on the ball! Making sure that all the carts were put away, he offered to take mine for me, and even helped another young lady to her car with all of her bags. ( she had a ton of bags ) . This Marshalls is my most fave branch! Completely stocked, in good condition, reasonably priced & well organized & clean. They always have good deals all the time! Special mention of 'their big variety of quality nail polish that starts from $2.99 to $4.99 as compared to others stores of the same brands but expensive ones. Customer service is superb! If I could rate this Marshalls a -1, I would. The casiers are terrible. They take forever, so a long line forms. Thats not a problem and they chat away. I've never had an issue with returns here. Obviously you have to follow the rules and return within 30 days and have your receipt. I saw a reviewer gave one star saying returns were difficult. I practically return at least one thing from all my purchases and I shop here A LOT! This store is well stocked and always clean and uncluttered. The men's clothing and grooming section is one of the better ones around. The only negative I found is the pushiness of sales people to get their store credit card. But I also understand they have to ask everyone. They're just doing their job. read more

I haven't been here for awhile and I came in looking for some 6 seat table cloths. I browsed the aisles but didn't find one table cloth I wanted due to the limited amounts on stock. This Marshalls in Hastings Ranch is one of my favorite Marshalls to go to. 4 stars! Pretty good selection of men's clothing, but I always find gifts for family and friends at Marshalls. Love the pet section especially, where you're bound to find that unique gift for a pet-lover. Moreover, I also love going to Marshalls during the holidays to get holiday greeting cards as well as gift wrapping items, from holiday gift boxes to wrapping to ribbons. Prices are pretty good at Marshalls but yes, you do have to take the time to inspect the items you intend to purchase. Some of the housewares that are sold are sometimes damaged, probably due to careless customer handling. read more

My mom and I often visit this location, but yesterday's experience upset us. We went to the fitting room to try on some sweaters. While parking our cart, my mom didn't realize she was at the men's side, and the associate told her, "That's the men's side; you need to be on the women's side," in a rude tone. My mom told her she didn't have to be rude. The associate responded, "No one is being rude," my mom said, "Yes, you are." She did not seem to care about the way she spoke to us. Not the most organized Marshalls but I do love it's convenient location. This store has plenty of parking and next to Panda Express, Corner Bakery and Homegoods. You can just park your car in one spot and go shop at many stores. Recently I found out that this store no longer allow dogs. This location is always packed with people! No matter what time and what day of the week I go, I always see so many people here. Just trying to pay is such a hassle because I got to wait in lines for so long. It is pretty spacious and all but I think customers that come here have no common courtesy or etiquettes. I was looking through food section to look for specific gummy bears that I like and I saw so many bags of gummy bear, candy and chips opened and eaten. Thats just wrong. The shoe department is very disappointing. They never have anything that makes me want to impulse buy. All ugly and look old. To add, staff here are not the nicest either. They act like they didnt see you when youre trying to get their attention to ask a question. I will rather go to one near Arroyo Parkway though that location still isnt the best one I have gone to. read more

I asked to leave a message for a cashier who'd been very nice and helpful before, and the manager would only give me this brusque "I cannot tell you if an employee works here or not." What can I say? I am a bargain shopper who loves a great deal! And this is one of my favorite Marshall's locations. I had just been to Nordstrom's Rack and saw a few things I needed, but knew would be cheaper at Marshalls. This Marshalls in particular is better than most - well organized and clean and has a good variety of items. Got a pair of sandals, a beach towel and a few tops. They also have really good snacks in the front, so I got some dark chocolate peanut butter low carb bite. I also have a TJ Max/Marshalls Credit Card and had a $10 credit. It only makes you look untrained in Customer Service and ignorant to who is bilingual. This store continually exemplifies sub-standard quality Customer Service. Found a wallet for $15 and the manager tried to charge me $25 and refused to honor the price. Super nasty attitude as well. I've worked in retail and dealt with this and this lady needs to be retrained IMMEDIATELY. You have to sell the item as ADVERTISED or as it's ringing up under California law, you're not allowed to change the price for no reason at the registers when something is marked a certain price. Things I don't even need, can't blame me tho, the deals are just too good to pass. Items I have purchased and recommend: - nail polish - Essie and OPI, at reasonable price - water bottles - the best ones are those that stay hot or cold for 12 hours - cups - i been gifting coworkers and friends with their cute selections - bowls - is my new issue, i been buying assorted bowls to use at home and work - stationary - planners, agenda and notepads - vases & jars for plants or assorted items I recommend always looking for the red tag items, those are sale items, and you can always count on finding a goodie. We went to the store, looking for a bathing suit for a 13 year old and asked a worker who didn't seem THAT busy. We asked her where the children's/ preteens baiting suits were and she aggressively pointed towards the back of the store "CHILD AREA" in a thick Russian accent. We asked again SPECIFICALLY where exactly we could find it and she proceeded to yell at us--"CHILD AREA! CHILD AREA!" She couldn't even walk us over there and show the area or something. We then told her that we looked in the and asked if she could show us. Once again she aggressively pointed to the children's area and said "CHILDS AREA". We told her we couldn't find anything and then she just rolled her eyes and told us if we couldn't find it then it wasn't there and that they didn't have it. Later she gets on her com and asks if we have any bathing suits. Soon after she said they didn't have it and dismissed us. We didn't HEAR anyone answer her com call and she obviously just wanted to get rid of us. We tried looking in the women's area as well for size smalls and the selection was close to horrible.
