Average Marshalls store. Large clothing section for men and women. I have been to other bigger and brighter Marshall's but this one was not bad. When searching for good deals, I don't pay that much attention to the physical location as much as the value I get from the deal...except when the store is really really bad. This was not the case. Had an excellent experience at this Marshalls, and I visit this one frequently. Had a return with sales receipts but over 90 days, and when cashier Maribel called on Mayra for approval on my return, manager Mayra was extremely helpful and able to assist. Mayra was more than courteous and understanding. Cashier Maribel was very friendly, and careful and attentive processing 3 separate sales receipts. Kudos to both Mayra and Maribel for their excellent customer service!! It's often the customer service that either can make or break returning visits to a store, and this Marshalls offered exceptional service. Highly recommend. read more

[1038] 11/2019 This Marshalls is located next to the Market Basket so I decided to visit this location. Plenty of parking in this strip mall. The store was large with plenty of items to choose from in each department. I saw a ton of cool items. I will be back. read more

Echoing another Yelper here as I am also wondering what they sell here?? First time at this location and the store made me think it is where everything that didn't sell at the sub-par locations winds up (making this store sub sub-par??). Tiny aisles crowded with "stuff" and it didn't seem as though there was any organization besides tossing anything beauty related into the section for beauty. It also seemed dark and dingy, how long has this store been here in what looks like a new-ish plaza??? If you love Marshalls, avoid this one! read more

This is a new Marshalls that opened up recently, it is located right next door to the new Market Basket. They were busy on the night we came, with the parking lot pretty full, and people everywhere. I noticed there was a greeter at the door but we didn't get greeted. She just looked at us as we walked by. I loved that they put many of the Boston sports team merchandises at the front of the store. I immediately saw what I wanted, and didn't have to go looking through the whole place. Check out was a bit slow but I think it was because the cashier was new. No biggie, I wasn't in a hurry. read more

I went in looking for shoes. Beautiful shoes in my size I'll be damned if I'm going on an hunt for my shoes. Shoes under the wrong brand. The boxes underneath not matching the shoes. God knows where they put the boxes with the right shoes. What a disgrace. I've never seen such a poorly organized shoe section. Seriously bummed as I rarely get them to myself in a story. It looks so high-end on the outside, was not expecting such a mess on the inside. I have been looking for sneakers. I work near the Watertown store, and went in there first, but they didn't have much. I went all the way out to Newton, where I supposed they might have much more and better, because it is Newton. They did, but nothing I wanted. I tried Waltham. The shoe section was so disorganized! Men's sneakers in the women's aisles, nothing stacked neatly below the display shoe, and the racks were too close together, it was hard to lean over to see what sizes - like, if you see a Nike over here, you want to scan all the Nike boxes you can find - all over the place. I think I gave the place about 10 minutes of trying before I decided THEY DO NOT WANT TO SELL ANYTHING. That's how bad it was. This is the Marshall's of my childhood memory, where my mom made us go shopping, and scan through every rack for my size because it might have been put back in the wrong size, and nothing is in any order. Besides the disorganization and the aisles were too small, of course, other people were also trying to navigate this nonsense. I didn't look at the rest of the store because I did not need anything there (having bought clothes in Watertown a couple days before). The whole plaza looks like an upscale operation, so I thought it might be on par with the Newton store (that looks basic outside, but inside is pretty much what you want to go to Newton for), but it was sooooo bad. read more

I'm starting to think that Marshall's gets all the rejected employees from TJ Maxx....I have yet to goto a Marshall's that didn't have a wait of at least five minutes to pay. Doesn't matter if there's one cashier or four (which, we all know never happens). This Marshall's is no exception. Waiting in line seething (what can I say?? Been to this location a couple times. Normally I find a couple things and only have to wait behind 2-3 people in the checkout line. Normally a positive experience. Today I had found a couple items and went to checkout only to be behind about 20 other people in line. Waited about 5 minutes in hopes that they would call others to the front to assist the 2 cashiers that were open. No one else ever came up. Unfortunately, I ended up bringing the items back to the shelf and walking out. I had seen several others do the same. I was very disappointed this visit and don't think I will be going back to this location anytime soon, if at all. read more

This was my first time at this location. I walked in the store and headed to the shoes first. I was looking down an aisle at a pair of shoes and about two minutes later, a cleaning woman came down the aisle I was in with her broom, at full speed. She didn't look like she was stopping so I walked to the end of the aisle and jokingly said "I'm going to get swept up." I walked down a different aisle and I kid you not, here she comes again, broom in hand, full speed. She stopped the broom at my feet and looked at me. I said "can I look at the shoes?" She laughed and pushed her broom into my feet, so I left that aisle. I don't remember what I said -- something like "oh my gosh" and she said "sorry" very indifferently. I spent about 5 more minutes in that store, laughing until I cried. 2 stars for the laugh. Thanks for the laughs but most likely won't be back to this location! read more

Very disappointed to say that my mother was just body shamed by 2 employees there. My mom was too upset to catch their names but one of them specifically said "you need a nice figure for that" when my mother was waiting in line to go in the fitting room. This is beyond unacceptable for an employee to say this to a customer for over 20 years. Very disappointed and will never give tjx stores a penny again. Please educate your employees. read more

This location is a hidden gem for clothes and other goods that Marshalls has. Unlike other locations like in Downtown Boston, this location has a tremendous amount of brand name clothes that would cost a ton of money in the mall or department stores. I've found True Religion jeans here that go for almost $200 for $75 for example. So this is definitely a place to go looking for deals on cool trendy clothes. read more

The dressing room line was backed up so I didn't even try clothes on. Gave them back to attendant. Went to purchase a gift card. The cashier must have been new and didn't know how to do it. Manager cane over to help. Then I asked for gift receipt to make sure card worked. Another girl came to rescue and couldn't figure it out. After a few minutes goes we can't do it with gift cards. We can verify card amount. She did that. Then I was finally able to leave. Such a painful process. They wonder why Brick and mortar stores will be a thing of the past. read more

This a review for the customer service and, i assume, new manager at the store. I'm a regular shopper at TjMaxx stores and this Marshalls has a good selection of goods and cloths, but i will never be shopping at this location again. I've stopped by a few days ago to return a photo album, shower gel and one decorative item (never used, with all stickers attached) without a receipt. The cashier took one of the items, quietly chatted with the manager and returned to me saying that they can't accept the item because it was purchased more than 6 months ago and no longer in the system. I was like - okay, maybe i did in fact purchased it so long ago. Then she picked up an album, scanned it for purchase (which worked just fine) and then moved on to the next thing. I stopped her and said that all 3 things are for return. Then she claimed that album was also sold more than 6 months ago and she can't accept it as it's no longer in the system (hello?you just scanned it for purchase without a problem and telling me it's not in the system?). The thing is, i know 100% that i purchased this album just a few months ago, for valentine's day. I asked her how she knows how long ago it was purchased - she said that on a price tag it says month 16. I asked her how s that if we have only 12 months in a year, and she tells me it's 24 months in a year for their stores. Now, I can believe they have this calendar year that consists of 24 months, but telling me that they have this policy of a company's policy to not accept items sold more than 6 months ago is a complete BS, and the biggest shit is to tell me that the item isn't in the system when the scanner works just fine to run it as a purchase. It's not the first time i'm making a return at TjMaxx stores, and i've been at many locations, but rest assured that it was the last time i left my $ in that place, and I will make sure i share this experience with the people i know. read more

The merchandise overall is quite good at Marshalls. The problem is checking out. I've experienced this same problem multiple times over the last several months. Today I was making a purchase and there was only one cashier actually checking out customers, but two other cashiers were behind the counter with their backs to the customers, picking up and putting down merchandise. The one cashier looked very young and was taking care of a customer with a very full cart. Several times she looked up at me and the two customers behind me, then looked at the other cashiers behind her. She looked nervous and like she wasn't quite sure what to do. When she was through with her customer, she took care of me. I had ONE item. While the young woman was ringing up my purchase, one of the other cashiers made her way to her register and called the next customer. Virtually this same scenario has played out the last several times I have shopped at either Waltham Marshalls or Fresh Pond Cambridge TJ Maxx. I'm either going to stop shopping at these stores or maybe I'll just drop my merchandise and walk out if this happens again. I understand that return merchandise has to be sorted and put back in its place, but I've worked retail before and when there is one person ringing up a large purchase and several people in line, that is not the time for sorting out merchandise.
