Wish I had another option near me than this TJMaxx. Plenty of times, I've found the service absolutely horrendous! Esp when they make up prices for items with missing labels and no match. Just like this recent time I went shopping. Like, how do you make up a price with zero similar comparison. I tried to buy an item I really like, but no match. Presented it to cashier who gave it to manger. I waited because I was really excited about it. The store clerk brought other items to the manager, completely unrelated in brand, fashion, or aesthetic. The manager proceeded to tell me it's a two 2 piece, but since there was only one piece, they'll sell it separately; the borrows costs more than the top. I was fine with that, until they tried to charge me full price for a clearance item...and she would t budge. Not the first time this store staff has cheated me with randomness in pricing items without a price tag How do you arbitrarily assign a new price from u related garments...! Surprisingly good selection of quality items. We simply came here to pick up some dog toys and possibly lamps for our home's decor, ah and butter scotch flavored syrup for our butter beer recipe (doing Harry Potter marathon now) We were able to sneak up few good dog toys, a syrup, plus authentic apple leather link, just for $20 (it is $100 originally)! I like the store as it is not as crowded as the other TJ Maxx in the area, and relatively well organized. When I was young, my mom always brought me to TJ Maxx to do shopping for clothes and other miscellaneous stuff. It's evolved a lot since then, and I'm happy to see them carry a lot more designer brands. Now that I'm older, I still shop there several times a year. I've found a lot of treasures, and never end up spending much more than $100 even if I've got a larger pile of stuff. The Maxx will always be a staple for me! read more

I have to say the customer service has excelled since COVID. When you enter there is an employee there to sanitize your basket or carriage. They're also very friendly. I went in once in a rush and asked the employee where to find hats and she pointed me in the right direction. This time on the way out we exchanged "Merry Christmas"es. I don't usually write reviews, however I had such a pleasant experience today I had to highlight one of your associates. It was very busy when I was shopping, there was a line around the corner of the cash registers. While I was waiting I overheard one of the female managers rudely ask two male associates (who were organizing hangers and working) to go to the cash registers immediately because there was such a long line. I've worked in retail before and I know that you never sign into a register unless a manager tells you to do so. With that said it's not like the two young men could've just started to ring up customers when they saw the long line. With that said my cashier Will T rushed over to the cash-register, cleaned it off thoroughly and rung my items with a cheerful and kind attitude. I've been an employee before where my manager has snapped at me in front of customers and it is less than ideal. The way that Will T carried himself was beyond impressive. This kind of attitude and professionalism will take him far in life. Thank you to Will Ts great attitude and customer service, he made my experience very safe and pleasant. read more

Such a big variety here! They have a large selection of lamp items, home goods, pots and pans etc. I loved coming in and experiencing the spacious environment with high quality items. The shampoo and conditioner options were plenty! The furniture options were awesome-- lots of good wood and beautiful colors. read more

Cheeky TJ Maxx HomeGoods combo store right here. So much variety but not too painful on your wallet. The HomeGoods lay out is slightly cluttered and confusing towards the end of the store but has everything you could ever want or need in the way of cheap, decent quality, occasionally tacky home supplies. They just have a lot of stuff really. The clothes section is quite large but would like to see more plus sizes on the clothing! Again, all the clothes are cheap just like the home supplies. You know what to expect before you walk in. One of the better TJ Maxx stores. The employees are always friendly too which is a huge plus! read more

Who doesn't like to shop at a store where you star singing their jingle when you walk in, and then keep singing it while dreaming later that night, only to wake up singing: "Tee JAY Maxx, You should Gooooo!" There are so many purple (and purple metallic) purses at this TJ Maxx. It's also interesting how they keep all their jewelry in a glass case, where you have to ask to be shown the $9.99 earrings or the $250 necklace. There's a little "Off the Runway" section stocked with ruined Marc Jacobs dresses, 2005's Seven Jeans, and lip-stick stained Dolce clothing. It's a fashion graveyard, and made me feel sad that people who do try these clothes on don't bother to not smear their face-full of makeup on them. I walked around here last night for almost 2 hours, mostly looking for a coat. What I walked out with were two candles, a silky bathrobe, and a spatula. All for under $40. Not the most practical winter attire, but at least I will smell great. read more

From the outside and quite frankly the traffic of this plaza, I am always worried a trip to this TJ's is not worth it. But every time I go in they have a ton of stock and an awesome home goods section. It is one of the better TJ maxx stores in the area. read more

I don't like department stores as a rule. That goes for Filene's Basement to Saks Fifth Ave and everything in between. However, I do like a bargain. T.J. Maxx stores seem sorta seedy to me. Not sure if it's because displays are often picked over, the place looks bare-bones or something else entirely, but I've stopped going for the most part. Also doesn't help that their consumer data was exposed by hackers... I let these things slide for my recent trip. One thing it is great for is random home goods: Not the top-of-the-line stuff, but that bathmat you don't want to purchase for more than $10, the storage bin/organizer you don't want to get for more than $8 or the giant candles you don't want for more than $5. When shopping at TJ Maxx, you have to go in with the right attitude. If you are there to do something quickly, or to have a fancy shopping experience, you are going to be disappointed. BUT, that said, if you are there to get a good deal on something, and if you are a little flexible on what you need, this could be the place for you! For example, I was able to get great "green" non-stick pans for my kitchen here. I also have gotten $10 men's leather winter gloves. Also $20 comforters/blankets, etc. $5 Timberland 3-piece baby outfit. $40 Born Clogs. There's also some high end lingerie if you are willing to pick through the racks. The list goes on! Basically, you have to shop patiently and carefully. The kitchen and home section is really quite good. I always try to stop here before buying sheets or kitchen stuff elsewhere, because the prices just can't be beat. The lighting isn't the best, but no one ever tried to pretend this was a luxury store. The dressing rooms are all the way to the left sort of where you come into the store. Use them to avoid having to do returns. The line moves pretty fast, but might take you 5 minutes of waiting if it's busy. read more

This used to be a terrific store, with lots of little hidden gems, but then they decided to try to bring some high-end clothing in. The maintenance of that section is atrocious! It is heartbreaking to see beautifully hand-beaded items ripped apart by bad hangers and trashed by stupid shoppers who could care less about leaving the racks cleaner than they found them. Update: They stopped tying their shoes together with plastic ties! TJ Maxx has a focus on Bags while Marshalls has the Shoes. This location has an especially great bag selection and terrible shoe selection. I love the bags because they always have a very large selection of higher end leather bags. This is by far the best TJ Maxx I have been to for bags. Twice a year I try to pick out a new bag to use for the whole season and I always find one here! I get so many complements and people think I spend hundreds on my bags even though I normally only pay $100 or so for each! (Remember I carry the same one every day so $100 isn't THAT much.) Insofar as shoes, they tie their shoes together with plastic ties. This only started about a year or 2 ago and I asked the girl in the shoe section why. (How in the heck can you decide if a shoe fits with only one foot squeezed in next to a tie?) She said this is to keep the shoe section clean. I still buy shoes here, but I recommend going to Marshalls if you are looking specifically for shoes. This location also has a high end "Runway" section. I shop the designer jeans. The rest is still to expensive for my budget! My favorite sections include bags, jeans, winter coats (when you hit it right after the first shipment), and the home section. read more

Great place to shop at for a few reasons: 1- Great quality products 2- Affordable prices 3- Good customer service 4- Clean and neat comparing to other Tj maxx stores 5- Always bringe new products I always shop there. You'll definitely find great items and superb quality but you gotta search for it. It is definitely not the store that you can go and pick up what you want right away. But it is the store that you enjoy walking through and pick up great deals. read more

This store is great! The parking lot is often a mess but you can find some great deals on clothes, beauty products, some pet products, and decor - the store is a bit unorganized at the moment but only because they are bringing in HomeGoods! If I am in the shopping area for any other reason, I will usually stop by here. read more

This place was great but it seems like every time I come here I enjoyed it less and less. I went tuesday night at around 8 and to return. There was hardly anyone in line except for a lady in front of me. There were 4 girls manning the registers. The girl at register 11 was the only one working and the other 3 was talking to each other. The girl at register 11 was still with the lady that was in front of me and saw that none of the girls were paying me any mind, she spoke up loudly that (camille?) will help me. Great buys -- but the associates couldn't be any more hostile and unfriendly, and I've just learned that, despite buying Christmas gifts WITH gift receipts, if you bring any of these gifts back with the gift receipts, you can only get store credit, NOT a refund. Buyer beware. read more

I don't mind shopping here, but come here for very specific things and I don't mess around with browsing the aisles. I have had good luck with buying work shoes here. I found a pair of brown leather Cole Haan dress shoes for $30.00. I also buy gifts here, they have lots of items to make your own gift basket. They also have good deals on winters hats and gloves. The downside is that the checkout line is pretty much always annoyingly long, so be warned. read more

Good for local browsing if we dont feel like driving to the mall....get your shopping fix over with and save some gas! Its convenient because we can go to the Blockbuster and pick up a movie, Cambridge liquors, Whole Foods and Petco....all in the same shopping complex.... Some pretty decent finds...its fun browsing through clothes and home items even if we dont need anything. If you need something real fashionable real fast, then go to Macys or some other department store. TJ Maxx is better when you have time to go hit-or-miss shopping and want to feel like you got a good deal stumbling across some cool clothes or random items for the kitchen or home. I was blown away by the service at this store. I went in for a couple of decorative chairs from the home section that I had seen the day before. When I searched around further, I found several more home decor items that worked well with the chairs and decided to get them all. The store manager, Glen, could not have been more helpful. He saved me over a hundred dollars by recommending opening the store credit card. When it came time to fit the items in my car, he patiently helped me maneuver them to get the most out of the space in my small sedan. It was hot out and he was wearing a shirt and tie, but he never complained and actually had a great sense of humor. I buy about 60% of my clothes at the TJ (Teej), and no one has ever complained about my sense of style. Americans are way too polite, so this may not be meaningful. At any rate, I know this is going to make me sound extremely lame, but I recently discovered that the best time to shop here is on Friday evening, just after they've stocked the racks for the weekend. Well, they have pretty good prices on most things, but I find that it is hard to find my size on clothes. Sometimes, when you think they have fantastic prices, you can actually get a better deal a regular department store if they are having a sale. Then you can probably find your sizes better. Also, so many people tend to mess up the displays and clothes that everything seems to be out of order. Yeh, I will proabably shop there but only once in a while. The other thing is the Fresh Pond Circle Rotary Traffic and the parking at the Fresh Pond Mall with Whole Foods is crazy and gotten worse over the years. read more

This was the worst customer service I have ever encountered. I went to the register with a bunch of items, several of which were 50% off because they were holiday themed. The cashier did not know how to ring them up so the coordinator tried to tell her but she still couldn't do it. The coordinator tried to tell her again but she still didn't understand and the coordinator was on the phone. The cashier stood there and just struggled while the coordinator did nothing. Then she came up with a total of $54. I started to slide my card and she sat there talking to herself saying, "It shouldn't be $54." She voided the whole transaction without a word of explanation or apology to me and started ringing it again. She rang just two items and was just standing there as I was waiting for her to continue and then the coordinator got off the phone to address her. Again not a word to me, just sitting there going through all the stuff and what she did. I said, "I need someone to just fix this. I'm getting ready to just leave," and the coordinator's response was, "That's what I'm trying to do." Again, no apology, explanation, thanks for your patience, nothing. When they finally finished ringing it said $90! I said, "What do you mean? You said $54 before!" They started to argue with me but I said, "I'm leaving. This is ridiculous." The response was, "Okay." I sat through this whole fiasco with no acknowledgement at all of their screwups. This was the first and last visit to this store for me. They need to train their staff. read more
