Worse experience with this place. PEOPLE don't go here. All they care about is your money they don't care about the car or your safety. They will give you your car back with missing parts and messed up the entire system. They will not admit that they were a fault and will try to blame you for your own car problems. Having some issues with my car, they gave me back my car with possible engine damage. Keep saying that it's not related to what they have done. Which is a total lie. My car doesn't drive the same as it used to. The mechanic said that there might be issues, but to keep an eye on it. At this point, I might have to sue them if further issues arise. It is now 35 days with my car at Martin Collision. Not much of a repair job, I'm told. They called me after 10 days to pick up my car. I finished paying my deductible and was ready to drive away and noticed that the new tires they said were put on were not...I could tell because there was a nick out of one of the tires. That made me question whether they did the work where the real damage was...under the car. I looked under and sure enough they hadn't touched it. Latest- car was to be ready yesterday, having "received" the part time finish. They just told me it came in and they will see what they can do to get it done by Friday. What a scam... read more

Service reps are nice but that's about it. My car took weeks longer to fix than originally anticipated, and they told me the day before I needed to leave for a trip that my car likely wouldn't be done because of some miscommunication with the service techs who sent my car back to them without any of the instructed repairs done. The communication and organization here has been a mess. I feel bad for the rep Andrew who has been fighting for me, but my experience with the company as a whole has been poor. What has happened to this place? I've had them do 3 different repairs in the last 10 years. They were friendly, responsive, and quick. This fourth repair is a different story. For a simple lift gate replacement my car has been there for a few days shy of a month. They never call back when promised and they keep pushing the ETA out. I am now out of car rental reimbursement from my insurance and have no car to drive and no ability to pay the crazy deposit enterprise wants. Never going to Martin again after this. read more

Worst experience that I ever had so far... I only needed to change the anterior bumper, insurance approved it in 24 hours, how long it took for them to place it? 15 DAYS! They told me - best case scenario? 48 hours, worst? 7 days.... well...confirmed by them, there are even WORST THAN THE "WORST CASE SCENARIO". Each time we called to get updates, almost always we had to call back because they will not call you back after saying "Give me a couple of minutes to get back to you". After receiving an estimate, Martin's requested I prepay for the part and make an appointment a month out to ensure the part was in. I dropped My car off on a Monday as planned. On Wednesday they called to say that the part was on back order with no ETA. I'm not quite sure why they did not inform me of this prior to dropping my car off and being put out for two days. They don't reach out with updates, they don't return my calls, and on the rare occasion that I get to talk to someone, they feed me a line of absolute nonsense (a month ago "the last part" had finally arrived; last week more parts were needed). After I was backed into while driving, I was suggested to take my car to here. They did a wonderful job with the repair and paint work. I dropped my car off and picked it up about a week later. They did have to get the adjuster back out because additional work needed to be done to the car so the repair did take a little longer than expected. Also, there was a bit of overspray near the a-pillar but I believe it will come off. The wash when I went to pick up the car was a nice touch too. Maybe I am lucky? I had a great experience with Martin collision center. I had a small accident, lost my grille and had damage of front bumper. I chose Martin because it's Geico's collaboration and because it's the closest from my home. I only read the 1 star reviews after I dropped my car there. I got scared by those reviews but my car was fixed and returned within 2 weeks. My claims consultant Mr. Newman was super nice. He could answer all my questions and answered my call every time. Ever since the pandemic, all the ordering and human service became slow and unpredictable. I wanted my car back badly so I said I could skip the cleaning part, but when I got my car they still had a deep clean outside and inside the car. I cannot be more satisfied with their service and I really want to thank Mr. Newman. read more

I went to Martin Collision for body work following someone backing into my parked leased car. I had to use Martin because the lease from Main Line Honda required it. For the body work, they were good. Friendly, communicative, reasonably fast, good work. But previously, I had accidentally knocked out the 3 fins from the driver side console air vent grill (trying to attach a phone holder). I had the 3 pieces in a ziploc and asked them, while the car was there, if they could please try to pop them back in, thinking if I tried, I'd probably break them. They said sure, and I left the bag in the console. When I picked up the car, the bag (and pieces) were gone. I talked to them, and they looked, but couldn't locate the pieces. They acknowledged that they had lost them (thrown them out), and "Bob" said he would order new ones and put them in, no charge. That was 7 months ago. I have followed up numerous times, by phone and in person, and have been assured by Bob every time that he was on it, most recently telling me (on June 2) that the parts had been backordered, but are now available, and he would have them in by the next week and call me. Still nothing. This is now a cosmetic and functional flaw on a car with a lease that I have told them ends soon. I don't have time to keep chasing after this. I'd just like an actual truthful answer instead of the endless runaround with me having to do all the following up, to be given a line that never turns out to be true. I will have to track down the part myself or pay for it in end-of-lease negotiations. I have been very patient and polite, but this is extremely frustrating. It makes me feel like they genuinely could not give a crap about this situation, which will cost me money I do not have, which they caused. They even could have just said "no" when I asked them to look at it in the first place. read more

I left my car at Martin Collision on October 28, 2021 due to a fender bender. I received from an estimate of 15 days to complete bumper work. The center has had my car for the past 58 days (includes Sundays and Holidays) and still haven't returned it. They keep delaying repair work due to inavailability of parts (20 days). I contacted USA Nissan Parts to ask them for help. They were great and wanted to know where the order was placed. However, the missing part finally came in. After they had all the parts, the assigned mechanic had health issues and no one else could work on my car. I have not heard anything in reference to my car for almost 2 weeks. Worst service I have received. When I left the car, they told me maximum 2 weeks and the estimate from Geico said the repair will take 5 days. The center has had my car for the past 3 weeks and still haven't returned it. They keep delaying it using stupid excuses. I have had to rent a car, which Geico will only cover for 30 days. Seems like a ploy to make me pay for the rental! I'm really frustrated with the minimal responses they're giving and least concern they have for speed and customer convenience. I went to this location since it was recommended by my insurance company and it was a one-stop shop. First of all, my car has been taken care of wonderfully and it looks just like new. Five stars for that! Now the reasons why I cannot give five stars: - Maybe I missed that details somewhere in the many things presented to me, but aftermarket parts were used in the repair, not original OEM parts. That really annoys me, because it's two year old car on a lease and I wish original parts were used (or at least consulted with me if that's fine) - I never heard back when I dropped off my rental car. No bill, no receipt, nothing (the insurance rep wasn't there when I picked my car up, I was assured someone would follow up the next day or so). - I didn't get a full list of services done to my car and when asking for it, I received emails with minimal words in all caps (I got a bill. - The estimated date was missed by four days. Granted, there was a holiday in between, but no one called me and the status updates magically stopped happening once delayed. So overall, an experience one would expect, but I haven't given up hope yet that there are places that truly shine with customer service and estimation of time taken to complete work. read more

I have used Martin collision in the past for "self-inflicted" dents and scratches. Quality and service were excellent. When I was in a "real" accident a few weeks ago the first phone call I made was to Martin. Marty held my hand over the phone and walked me through the whole process. He took care of everything from the tow-truck to the rental. Marty gave me GREAT advice for dealing with the insurance company, the person who crashed into me, the police and the car rental agency. Marty was in constant communication with me. He let me know when the tow-truck arrived. Kept me posted on when the adjuster. He called me a couple of times a week with status updates. I never had to call him to find out what was going on. When I came to get my car it was truly as good as new (and cleaner than it had ever been). The customer service is so good at Martin collision you almost overlook how amazing the body work is. I am extremely satisfied with the service at Martin Collison. The process was super simple and convenient with the help of the Geico Express Program that they offer at this body shop. I dropped the car off and had a Geico insurance employee do an estimate on my car right there. Right after that an employee from Enterprise Rent-A-Car greets you and works out the rental car situation. They do this all on site. You hop in your rental and drive away. The whole process only takes about 20 mins. Definitely the most efficient and stress-free "car problem" situation I've ever had. 4 days later I return to pick up the car on a Saturday morning. I drop off the rental and away I drive in my fixed car. The car was repaired beautifully.. Back to her original glory!!! They washed the car and wheels and also vaccumed out the interior. Very happy with how this shop does business. I would like to also say I have been coming here for years with many of my other cars and have always had a positive experience. It is said that " politics make strange bedfellows. " The same can be about your experience with insurance companies and auto repair shops. Dealing with GEICO and Martin Collision in Bala Cynwyd was a nightmare. After their insured rear-ended me damaging my car, GEICO wouldn't fix it because of the year it was made. My auto was well maintained before the accident. So, my question to them is... if your insured struck and critically injured a 90 year old man/ or woman, would they tell their policy holders to just leave them dying because they're old anyway. Don't Sympathize with the victims. Do what is expedient and humane. Restore that individual and their vehicle to the approximate position they were in before your insured hit them. That's the exact way I feel they've mishandled the accident that occurred, and are now refusing to do the right thing. I definitely would not recommend any company which sought the easiest way out possible to avoid paying a legitimate insurance claim! read more

Everyone from the geico appraisers, the auto body repairs, and the people setting up my car rental were extremely friendly and professional. They answered all my questions and got my car repaired in the exact time frame they promised. It seems like they even washed my car, which was a nice surprise. If geico sends you here just run. This was the worst experience I've ever had. It took over 3 months to get my car back. I was told on 3 different occasions that my car would be done the following week. The guy Scott was cool, but the older guy you would get sometimes you could tell he was just reading a script with the "waiting for parts still". On top of all that the geico agent I had was the rudest person to talk to, he pretty much made me do his job. Then the rental issues started to happen, I talked to a guy name David he told me he would talk to the insurance company because geico told me they weren't going to pay for the rental seeing as it was taking forever. He told me that he would call them and handle it for me. Got my call back from him the following week he told me that everything was good and I wouldn't have to pay for it. Wrong after I get my car and turn in the rental I get a 600 dollar bill from enterprise. Thanks Dave. Recently my wife was backing out of a space in a local parking lot when a cement pole jumped out of nowhere and tore off her front bumper. Don't you hate when that happens? Just what we needed to deal with! I immediately thought of Martin's Collision on Rock Hill Rd. Because unfortunately we are repeat customers. My daughter was in a fender bender the year before with her Acura, in Center City. She called me shaking and in tears. Some gruff looking guy with a tow truck appeared out of nowhere and insisted that she sign a towing contract which would also have been a binding repair contract with some unknown repair shop. I called Marty at Martins Collision and he immediately calmed us all down, had his tow truck there in minutes and brought her back with her car. My daughter got a rental car from a local rental agency that Marty helped arrange, without her having to even leave the shop. In a couple of weeks she had her own car back looking like new. Like the old Johnson and Johnson baby shampoo commercial: no more tears! Well, Marty did it again. My wife's Lexus looked like it was right off the showroom floor. By the way as punishment for being less sympathetic than I should have been over my wife's mishap, my BMW 528xi was broadsided by a taxi the day after hers, (on Friday the 13th no less). GEICO requested that we take our car to Martin Collision since it is their express service shop. Their insured rear ended our car at low speed resulting in what appeared to be minimal damage to our bumper. The body shop person along with the GEICO rep greeted us at the shop. After a cursory look at the car (not on a lift) the body shop person told us that it was likely a total. I said that there is no way that this is a total at which point she told me that she had 30 years of body shop experience and that there was significant hidden damage. Then GEICO told us that they could only estimate the damage that they saw. GEICO also didn't request that they put the car on a lift and issued a check. We sat there in disbelief with a $918 check for a car valued around $8,000 and the body shops expert opinion that the car would likely be totaled. We refused to leave the car and instead canceled our rental. We then took the car to a friend who has a car repair shop. He put the car on a lift and confirmed my evaluation of minimal damage (definitely not a total). We took the car to another body shop to do the repairs. After a few supplemental payments the total for all repairs was $2300. Our beloved car is now fixed and back in our hands instead of dismantled for parts and sitting in some junk yard. read more

Wilkie Lexus had sent me here a few years ago when my front bumper was damaged. The staff here are really nice but the quality of work is horrible! I had to bring my car back because there were dry spots in the paint and excessive orange peeling in other areas. Also the rubber gasket on my front grille wasn't even put on properly! I took the car back and they fixed the paint work but the grille was still improperly installed. The employed came put and said that was the best they could do and went back inside. I took the grille off in the parking lot and reinstalled it with the gasket properly seated and went back inside to show him. I never went back and have been going to Cavallo Auto Body in Newtown Square. They have a few locations and do phenomenal work! They only use new OEM parts so you know fitment and quality will be as good if not better than the factory! They take a long time but it's worth the wait! Do not waste your time with Martin collision, their service is just as bad as Wilkie Lexus which I also stopped going to after being a customer for 15+ years. Very shady, unscrupulous company. I called in advance asking how much a written estimate for body damage was. Was told over the phone " its free, you don't need an appointment, just come in during business hours". Got there and the guy wanted to know if I was going through insurance, he wanted to see my estimate first. I said politely I just wanted a written estimate, that's it. It doesn't matter whether I'm going through insurance or what. He refused to give me an estimate without first seeing mine from insurance company. Frankly, its none of their business whether I'm going through insurance or not. They said free estimates and did not say it depended on whether I was using insurance or that I had to give them my estimate first. He said nastily "oh you must be shopping around for the best price. They person who hit me had Geico as their insurance and Martin's has ties with Geico. I took my car in to get appraised and the same day they started the repairs. The staff was super pleasant and great to work with! When I got my car back it looked good as new and they cleaned the inside and outside! I usually do not take the time to review places, but for Martin Collision I'm making an exception. I recently crashed my car into a pole (stupid mistake) and thought it was going to be totaled. I had hope that maybe I could get lucky and I could find a place that would fix it. I started looking in the Main Line area for the best place to get it repaired. After a few places, Martin gave me not only the best price, but since I'm not the sharpest when it comes to cars, the employees there made it so easy for me to understand what exactly had to be done to the car. I was expecting to be without my car for at least a month because of how bad the damage was, but I got it back in just a couple weeks! I have absolutely no complaints, the car came back perfect and it was by far the least stressful body shop experience I've ever had.
