When I explained not only what I was experiencing physically but also my financial situation, Dr. Janay met me with compassion, flexibility, and understanding. She worked with me on a payment structure so I could still be seen, which meant more than I can express. What truly stood out was how she handled the appointment itself. She reassured me that my prescription had not changed and took the time to clearly explain that the symptoms I was experiencing were normal following a concussion. She was patient, thorough, and incredibly calming. She allowed me to be vulnerable about my concerns and genuinely put my mind at ease by letting me know that everything was going to be okay. I took the contacts that they gave me open them and after two sets neither of them right eye or left eye fit correctly. I reached out and told them I would be going to a different optometrist, but that I wanted to return my contacts. They told me because I opened the boxes that they gave me that were incorrect. They could only return the unopened boxes, but that they could exchange them with Cooper vision but we're still going to be unable to provide me a return their representative. Vanessa was extremely argumentative on the phone and told me that they stand behind their customers but that because I wanted to go somewhere else, there was nothing they could do for me. Told them I'd never come back and I'm going to dispute their charges to VSP and to my credit card. Her excuse was they would take a loss on their error so there was nothing they could do for me. Plenty of better options in the area! Update, went to a lens crafters and got a different prescription with a different axis and cylinder and no headaches or issues.

The expenses for contact lenses, disinfecting solution, moistening drops, and annual eye exams kept adding up year after year. It was time I get LASIK while I'm still young because it maximizes years of contacts-free living and saves money over time. I did extensive research on LASIK providers and chose Dr. Feinerman for four reasons: 1) He did successful ICL surgery for my wife and she's had 20/20 vision ever since 2) He takes care of you from A to Z: He personally does all consultations, eye surgeries, and follow-up visits 3) He has over 20 years of experience and was a Chair of Ophthalmology at Hoag 4) He has many known celebrity/influencer clients (one of them Kobe, RIP). At my consultation, his assistants did diagnostic tests on my eyes to determine my candidacy. Dr. Feinerman said I qualified for Wavelight Plus LASIK (as opposed to traditional). The difference is that Wavelight Plus has higher rates of achieving 20/20 vision or better, and improved night vision. Not everyone can qualify for this so I chose this one. On the day of my surgery, it was done at his vision center and took less than an hour. I chose classical music to play in the background. My eyes were disinfected and numbed with solution. I laid on the operating table as Dr. Feinerman did the procedure and talked with me every step of the way. It didn't hurt at all and I was surprised it was quick ~15 mins. The moment it was done, I could see clearly as if I was wearing contact lenses. I was given a home care kit to take home and follow the schedule of eye drops to ensure my eyes recover. The next day I came in for a follow-up, did some vision tests, and Dr. Feinerman said I now have 20/20 vision. That was less than 24 hours from surgery so I can only hope for even better than 20/20 soon. For those those of you who are tired of wearing glasses and contacts, I highly suggest you invest in yourself and get LASIK. If you qualify, stop by Dr. Feinerman's office and I promise you won't regret it. I'm glad I did!

Instead of addressing the lens issue, the staff tried to "rig" the frames by adding double nose pads and bending the ear pieces so tightly they dug into my head to force the glasses higher. When I returned after my first pair was finished on 3/16, a different staff member admitted the lenses were made incorrectly, yet they repeatedly mentioned a one-time fee for the correction as if the error was my fault. Between the initial fitting and the follow-ups, I spoke directly with four different staff members on the sales and fitting side. I received a second set of lenses on 3/25, but they were just as blurry. Trying to find the "sweet spot" in the prescription caused so much eye strain that I was in tears by 10 AM the next day. When I finally asked for a refund, they refused and even told my insurance company no. I am now out 400 dollars, I still do not have functional glasses, and I was never even given a copy of my prescription. I have officially filed a formal complaint with the California State Board of Optometry regarding the refusal to refund for a non-functional medical device. I am also reporting the office for violating the FTC Eyeglass Rule, as I was never provided a copy of my prescription after my exam. While the energy in the office is positive, the policies regarding defective products and the lack of empathy for inaccurate results is unsettling. If your prescription doesn't work out the first time, be prepared for a very difficult and expensive struggle.

Dr. Doll was a life saver for my husbands left eye!!! My husband came home from his construction job complaining about a sandpaper type feeling in his eye, suggesting he may had got something in it. Long story short, we walked into Costcos optometry center and waited about 15 minute prior to him being seen by Dr. Doll, which was rather quick considering the situation at hand. Within a few moments, the doctor with the latest equipment, extracted a piece of metal debris from my husbands eye. Dr. Doll confidently and calmly assured me and my husband that it was a minor eye injury and that would make a full recovery. My husband left the office with what was diagnosed as a scratched cornea, in which meds were prescribed to heal the wound. My hubbies eye ended up healing within a few days after the initial incident! Thank you Costco for your provided services and Dr. Doll for doing such an amazing job!!! Thanks! read more

Terrible doctors, they are in costco, making business under costco name, but terrible service. They made us come to the business 4 time to get the correct contacts. They can not determine the right lenses. After the 4 th time doctor said this is the final prescription you are on your own. You just go purchase the contacts. They said if they don't fit, the costco will replace them. Right after asking to the costco they said if the box is open they won't take it back. The staff the doctor's are such a liar, they are just trying to take your money and send you home. read more

He was very knowledgeable in caring for my eyes by lowering the prescription that my previous ophthalmologist had put me on. He was also very wise in terms of the anatomy and physiology of the health of the eye. It was sad to see him since has moved on from this location. The technician who did intake for me was very nice and efficient. She definitely knew her stuff. However, I think it may be a bit too sterile in that she was too efficient that any personable, bedside manners with patients were lost in the process. I felt like I was being whisked away from one machine to another without a chance to catch my breath. Dr. Yim, the owner of this place, did have excellent bedside manners. He greeted me, allowed me to talk, as well as informing me of what was going on with my eyes. He had an excellent tone when speaking to me, almost radio-like ASMR quality. He really shines when he asks which lens is better, "1 or 2?" He was not condescending at all and was very personable in that he meets you where you're at in terms of understanding. He does a very good job of "accommodating" you (pun intended) throughout the process of an eye exam as well as recommending additional services that is covered within your service to make sure your pupils are in great health such as a pupil dilation follow up. The optician, Laura, was very nice to me and did not try to hard sell me on any optical wear. I felt like I could decline at any moment. She answered all my questions patiently. Overall, I would recommend coming here for your eye exam if your insurance covers it.
