If you're craving a high-quality pizza, this place is a must-try. The bread and toppings are top-notch! The pizza itself is larger than expected, perfectly balanced with sauce and toppings. It was so filling that it took me two meals to finish it alone. The honey drizzle was the cherry on top!

Hands down, some of the best pizza I have ever eaten. Wide selection of specialty pizzas, appetizers, and main courses. Indoor and pet friendly outdoor seating. Plenty of parking(across the street) . The service and severs are outstanding. Nice selection of beverages and meals are shareable.

Pizza Cornicione in Hillsborough, NC, offers a pizza experience that stands out for its authentic Neapolitan flair and commitment to quality ingredients. Beyond the delicious pizza and salad, the servers were absolutely terrific. When you walk in, you're greeted by not only a friendly employee but also with the unmistakable aroma of wood-fired dough mingling with fresh toppings, hinting at the care they put into their pizzas. Their pies are made with an expertly crafted, airy, and slightly charred crust (classic leopard char)--what they call the "cornicione" (Italian for "crust"). It's perfectly puffy with just the right amount of crisp, which complements the toppings without overwhelming them. Some may claim it is thin but that is the nature of these delicious Neopolitan pizzas. It has a nice puffy crust and is served with some perfect chili oil on the side. We had both the Pepperoni and Applewood Smoked Bacon & Gouda which are a must-try, showcasing the basics done to perfection: bright San Marzano tomato sauce, creamy fresh mozzarella, and fragrant basil leaves combined with other ingredients that bring everything together. The sauce is balanced and not too acidic, while the mozzarella has a creamy melt that pulls you in for every bite. You will that their toppings are high-quality. Tne decor is wonderful inside and outside with a wonderful outdoor patio with great lighting as you will see in the photo. We think that Pizza Cornicione might also offer seasonal specials that rotate based on local ingredients, adding a fresh twist each time you visit. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable, always happy to suggest the perfect wine or beer pairing from their thoughtful selection. We will be back and highly recommend this as a great pizza that stands out from others in the local pizza business.

Unfortunately the crust was too thin and a decent sized hole formed when we finished baking the pizza at home (as instructed). Flavor was nice, and the cheese was far above average.

If you don't want to eat your pizza at home, you can also grab a brew at Nash Street Tavern and they'll deliver right to your table.

Emmy squared is excellent pizza (if a little, maybe a lot pricey). It's Detroit style which is…read moresimilar to Chicago style in that it's a deep pan cooked pizza but it's more like standard pizza than Chicago style which is almost more like a lasagna or something. I really enjoy Detroit style pizza and it's not something you see a lot of around NC so that's nice. They also have a very good Gluten Free option which is nearly the same as the traditional crust - and if you ask they can mock up the cheesy sticks using the GF crust as well. The service is always super friendly at any location I've been to. As I mentioned, it's pretty pricey for pizza but it's also something you can't quite get around here otherwise and it's a nice place to go for something like date night.

I did carry out and it was my first visit. I'm not new to Detroit style by a long shot so I was…read moreexcited to try it. The flavor is a 4.5/5. The sauce is pretty darn good. Sweet with a little bit of tang and you can definitely taste the seasoning. The crust has the right thickness the right crunch and the right give. The crust could stand to have a little more flavor but overall it was a solid crust. My issue with the food was for $25 on a 8x10 pizza, there should be enough cheese in the mix to cover more than 60% of the pizza. They have a "signature cheese blend" but then 40% of the pizza doesn't get any of it. A bit disappointing. Which gives the value a 2/5 at best. In addition to these two factors I was asked my name for the order when I arrived. The young lady walked off and then I spotted her on her phone in the corner, followed by folding pizza boxes in a different corner. Eventually a gentleman approached with the same question. Wouldn't you know it, my order was sitting right there next to the host stand. Not impressive. The ambiance is a bit pretentious for a place serving pizza which I found to be pretty greasy. The ambiance definitely matches the price so I guess that's what they are going for. The only lot for parking is paid but I suppose that may be the norm for "downtown" Durham. The flavor again was very good, but the value and the competency of the staff are a miss. As a frequent traveler I think I'd explore the other options next time rather than return.
