    Home Fries Country Ranch Chicken
    John M.

A very solid diner experience. Menu was expensive with options for everyone. The space has a few tables in back in addition to several barstools at the counter. The chicken ranch sandwich was delicious and would recommend. Also tried a few bites of my sisters burger and it was very good.

    Green Omelet Fluffy Pancakes

Hole in the wall spot for classic diner eats. Coming from NJ, I was very impressed with this diner and small, unassuming presence. Loved the take on breakfast potatoes which were well seasoned and made on the grill. Not too greasy or heavy. Green omelette with green pepper, avocado and spinach was a great and unique combo. Omelette was prepared well without being too oily. One singular chocolate chip pancake was sufficient. Pancake was fluffy and well endowed with chocolate chips. It could be a little better if it was accompanied with real maple syrup, but good nevertheless. Service was expedient and staff were friendly.

Eiffel tower (1 of 2 containers)

You know the portions are enormous when your order comes in TWO takeout containers! I ordered the eiffel tower ($16.95 on Uber eats) which came with 3 eggs, 2 pieces of bacon, 2 pieces of ham, a lot of potatoes, and 2 slices of buttered toast. In a separate container there were two pancakes and a bunch of fruit (apples, pears, oranges, mandarins, cantaloupe, kiwi, two types of grapes, blackberries, and raspberries). I wasn't particularly blown away by anything, everything tasted good. The fruit was sweet and all the pieces they gave were fresh. The potatoes were on the soft side (no crispy edges) but I liked how their potatoes weren't super salty the way other diners or brunch places sometimes do their potatoes. The pancakes were solid but almost tasted like they were made from pancake mix. I also ordered the albanian breakfast ($15.95 on Uber eats). This came with 3 eggs, buttered toast, lamb gyro, potatoes, lots of roasted red pepper, lots of olives, fresh tomatoes and cucumbers, feta cheese, and tzatziki. The lamb gyro was really flavorful and the roasted red peppers were nice and smoky. I liked this plate better than the eiffel tower because I felt that there was a bigger variety of flavor. For eggs you can choose any style-- I asked for over medium and the eggs were perfectly cooked! For toast you can also choose between rye, raisin, white, and wheat. I'll definitely order from here again when I'm in the mood for diner food.

The Mediterranean Breakfast Specialty - not worth the $20. Fresh Orange Juice (did not taste fresh & costed $6!), one Fluffy Pancake

Completely underwhelming. After waiting for a seat for close to 40 mins, I was looking forward to trying this "neighborhood favorite." I ordered the Mediterranean breakfast. What i got was: greasy eggs (redeeming quality: they were over easy as requested) greasy mushy tasteless potatoes (no redeeming qualities, not even crispy edges), the thinnest slices of eggplant that were (sadly) breaded and fried in what must be stale oil given the taste, steak tips (chewy), and the best part -- and only fresh ingredient! -- feta cheese. Orange juice (they claim is fresh...but tasted exactly like bottled - you can kind of tell from the color; you'll have to trust me on the taste) was a whopping $6. You can literally buy a whole half gallon of OJ at the grocery store for less than that. Other reviews said it was reasonable for the price - this entrée was $19. Trendy brunch places charge the same and serve fresh, higher quality food & more creative dishes. This may have been a large quantity, but the quality was severely lacking. I feel duped.

I'm a huge Eggs Benedict fan and I've had some good ones but none I've had even comes close to Martin's on Harvard Street, Brookline. However, no matter what you order it's the same. In my humble opinion, the best breakfast place in the area, maybe the state... maybe the country!

    Classic eggs Benedict

Average food, nothing special. Not worth the 50 minute wait to get my food. The poached egg on my Benedict wasn't runny.

    House Burger

Visited on January 25, 2020 on a Saturday afternoon. We were 2 of us looking for lunch in the area. We were seated quickly without any wait. We had the House Burger and Italian Omelet. They were fresh and it was everything that we were looking for on a cold January afternoon. It's a small place with limited seating probably able to seat 15 people in total. I'd recommend trying the burger as well as the omelet.

Food is pretty good, but takes forever. Don't go here if you're ever in a hurry. Food takes 40-50 mins on weekends typically.

The bread was warm and fluffy and the frosting was creamy and nicely sweetened but not overly sweet. I was a fan. The french toast was eggy and the bread was soft. The Italian sausage stole the show for me. It was sweet, fragrant, and you could taste the chunks of meat and fat. The fennel flavor was warming. I had an extra side of their sausages. The home fries were good. The steak in the steak and eggs was well seasoned. It did taste A1-y. It was cooked to medium rare as per my request. I was a fan of the steak chunks. I will return. There are also a few booths for larger parties. They have your general breakfast diner food, sandwiches, to daily specials to choose from. I opted for one of their daily specials the wake and bake which was a sandwich filled with hash brown, bacon, and eggs with a side of home fries. I also got a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice which was super refreshing. The sandwich was amazing and I would absolutely get it again if it was on the menu. The home fries were okay, but not the best that I've had. The service was great and very efficient. Overall, a great place to catch up and grab a bite to eat.

PATTY MELT REVIEW…read more Iconic diner on the edge of Chinatown, a couple blocks east of the Expressway. It's been around for decades and it's open 24/7. More of an authentic this-place-has-aged feel than the typical diner attempt to evoke an earlier era. Went in the morning and went for a patty melt-- because I could. It's too elusive these days, so being able to not only find one but have it at breakfast, a double win. Double patty is standard, not an add-on, and fries (probably frozen, but lengthy, crisp and fluffy) are included. No onions, no rye, but lettuce and tomato-- a non-traditional configuration. Nicely browned patties that had juiciness. The ingredients weren't anything to write home about, but the execution was great all around and so was the cheerful service from a seasoned veteran. Sure, I've had better with the proper rye, griddled onions, and higher quality beef, but an easy 4 stars for the execution, value, vibe, and being able to even order a patty melt before 10 in the morning. Bonus points for a plastic ketchup squeeze bottle that was slightly warm. Breakfast items (eggs, crispy home fries, and pancakes) on a neighboring table looked good.

With my meal, I chose a mimosa, not just the regular prosecco and orange juice, but an apple pie mimosa made with swirls of caramel and topped with cinnamon. It was good. The food came out fast, portions were huge to where I could not eat it all, and it was delicious. I'm sure if in Boston again, I'll return.

I got a medium iced pandan cold foam coffee ($6). The pandan cold foam was vibrantly green, but I unfortunately didn't really taste any pandan flavor. The cold foam mostly just tasted like cream. I also noticed that the coffee was not super strong, so I would recommend getting a large if you are looking for more caffeine. I tried the OG banh mi ($12). It had crispy and fragrant bread and a thick spread of pate. I liked how it was served a little warm which helped all of the flavors mix together better.
