Review is for BOTH towing and engine repair. First towing: I had a friend take me to their shop in person and I arranged the tow of my F350 ramp back truck. They needed to use the biggest tow truck they had, the guy was very professional and careful with my nice truck. Repair: The extensive repair took a long time, due to waiting for parts, but they were good about keeping me in the loop, and fortunately they did a long test drive as one of the new parts was crap, so they had to replace that. They kept to their price estimate, but it took a lot longer than I had expected due to waiting for OEM parts from Ford. I have driven about 1000 miles since the repair, and everything is working great. read more

Car was towed after a traffic stop. Nothing special- just hook & go. Less than 10 miles. Had to get the car back for work. Retrieved less than 12 hours later and they charged $550 !! The lady we spoke with was rude and her estimated times are way off. Was told 30 minutes and it ended up being over an hour and half later. Made us sit in the parking lot waiting. They've got you over a barrel because they have your car. Managed to scrap together the money but I would never recommend them to anyone. Call Matthew's Garage or Matthew Smith Towing- their prices are more reasonable. read more

Going to make a very long story short. Stranded in Conyers with my truck and pull behind camper. Locating a local towing service was next to impossible with companies that want to advertise their 'dispatching'. I knew of Martin's where I live--so I called them. Renee was a tremendous help and sent Cecil to handle the job. He towed my truck on the flatbed and pulled the camper to complete the 80 mile tow. Please beware of this towing company!! I was stuck on the side of HWY 75 (GA) with my truck and trailer. I was quoted $250-$300 by the driver to tow my truck and trailer to the nearest TA gas station so it was not blocking traffic off the highway. The TA gas station was .1 miles from where the truck was broke down. Once they got the vehicle to the gas station (took maybe 30 mins) he then told me it will be $450. Be sure to get a solid price from this company before allowing them to touch your vehicle they are a bit shady. read more

if i could add 0 stars i would. my car stopped cranking today and we called AAA and they gave us martins. we gave them the card details and everything they needed to have a smooth transaction with my car. it was 3pm 1 1/2 hours later we call back and ask if someone's in route bc it's 80 degrees and we just wanted to know if everything is ok bc we are 5 min away from martins workshop. the lady that answered the phone was so RUDE i wanted to smack her through the phone. cutting folks off when they tryna talk. she said another 40-45 min.. keep in mind it's alr been an hour inna half. we said ok and kept it pushing. then we saw a martins truck with NOTHING on it drive by my car im like are you serious! 2 hours pass by we been sitting in that parking lot w the hot sun for 3 HOURS come on... we call back she say the sameee stuff with the sameee nasty ass attitude.. you wouldn't guess what she said "it's 40-45 min we only have 2 trucks" baby... how are you the #1 towing company for cartersville and only got 2 trucks.. we told that heffa CANCEL ME NOWW. we called matthew's that's ACROSS TOWN that got there in 20 min. yall dont deserve to be a towing company... yall make me sick. will NEVER use yall again.. yall gone need me and my funds before i need yalls wack ass towing company. read more

Unable to get car out of impound until Monday. Not open on Sat, and Sunday. My car had ran out of gas and within 6 hours it was towed. vehicle was all the way to on the sidewalk, but was towed because they said it was blocking traffic to the entrance of a car wash at 7:30 AM. I made sure it was completely on the sidewalk. I live two drive ways down, and are on crutches. 5 hours after the time it was towed, I found the tow yard and they wanted 278. I drive a 01 Honda civic and the tow yard is literally 1 mile away. Not to mention they are closed on weekends and now I have to wait till Monday. The guy said the charge for days that the car is their regardless if they are open, that I will have to pay in cash on Monday. read more

My car died on me on the interstate near the Cartersville exit as I was traveling from Atlanta to Nashville. AAA sent a wrecker from Martin's to pick me up, and the experience couldn't have been better given the circumstances. They worked with my insurance company to tow the car to a repair shop. They even took me well out of the way to the hotel I reserved for the night while I got everything sorted out. Many thanks to Josh in particular for that ride. But everyone I dealt with was polite and helpful. While I hope I'm not in the same situation again, I know I'll be in good hands with Martin's. read more

Had an alternator go out, didn't have my tools on me, they charged me $375 total for alternator ($240) and labor ($135). Part would have cost me about $130 after core exchange and would have taken me an hour to do (they charged me an hour and a half at $90 an hour) Not a complete rip off, but not too terrible reasonable either... read more

I'd definitely recommend using Martin's. My van wouldn't start one morning. They drove out 25 miles to pick up the van, then ran their tests. Next day when I picked it up the total charge was only $110 - including the tow! They were fast, honest, and didn't try to oversell me anything that wasn't needed. I agree that the phone presence can be better, but everything else was excellent. If it's ever needed again I'll be using Martin's for towing and/or service. read more

On Tuesday, 11/05/19, while traveling from a business meeting in Alabama, our company vehicle broke down on I-75 S near Adairsville, GA. Roadside assistance was called and we were told Martin's Harage and Wrecker would be coming to assist us in less than an hour. After waiting an hour and 15 mins, we were told that Martin's had cancelled the call with NO explanation. There is no excuse for leaving a customer on the side of a very busy interstate in the metro Atlanta area and it is very unprofessional to do so with NO explanation. If you ever break down in this area and your roadside assistance company offers Martin's services, tell them HELL NO! and if they won't use any other company then switch roadside assistance companies as soon as possible read more

Now they took my car to Tire Plus with no problem but want me to be there to pick the car up to take it to another location. You didn't have a problem taking it there. It's the same car. We called Martins to tow a customers truck to our shop today. It didn't take to long for them to go get it and bring it to Kennesaw from Rome. 39 miles. We were charged $1000 for 39 miles! That's $25.64 a mile!!! When asking about the price the driver said he had a lot of over head maintaining a tow truck. When told that we wouldn't be using them again he said ok have a nice day! They will say to your roadside insurance service they are the fastest in the area but instead will have you waiting 3+ hours only to tell you "other things have come up" and "just keep waiting". Call AAA to have my 66 Malibu towed to the shop spoke with Martin who towed it two months ago suddenly the over mileage has increased from two months ago when it was going from the same place to the same place the gentleman I was speaking to was pretty rude and abrasive it was a bit of an a**. The over mileage last time was only four bucks this time it was eight it wasn't that amount of money that mattered it was the point of it when nothing had changed it should still be the same I didn't move the shop to move but yet they wanted to charge more money for a longer distance than last time and then the gentleman hung up on me when I confronted him about it be careful using these people ever Denteley they have started trying to gouge wherever they can't and they're not pleasant people to deal with spend money with people who deserve it. I had a car towed buy Martins they damaged the vehicle agreed to pay for the damages sent me to a body shop of their choosing even though I already had an estimate from another body shop. I have to qualify this review because the late-night roadside assistance were great -- friendly, professional, and a service that I might use again if the need arose. But the service center treatment was like being set on fire to save them the trouble of telling you to go to Hell. They are part of a nationwide tire insurance program, which is why I was taken there, and the problems started when they literally refused to call the insurance program THAT THEY ARE A PART OF to verify that I had a blowout and needed a replacement. They didn't have a tire on hand for my car, which is fine -- I have a weird size tire. But instead of offering to order a replacement, they wanted me to call all over town to see if someone had the right size tire, purchase said tire, pay someone to bring it to the service center, and then pay Martin's a high markup (more than I originally paid for the tire new AND the mounting / disposal costs at another place) for the privilage of putting it on. They were rude and conscending every time I spoke to them -- the nicest they managed to be all day was when I told them to put the car in the parking lot with the key in the glove box so that the car could be picked up after hours and taken elsewhere. My stepdad called the owner, a friend of his, after I had picked up the car, to tell about the way I was treated; when he said I wouldn't be treated that way "next time," I replied that there wouldn't BE a next time read more

Had to have my Honda towed to the dealership because two of my tires got nailes in them at LakePoint, HondaCare roadside assistance paid for it but Martins was quick to arrive and dropped the car off at the dealer. No complaints here. read more
