Alex at Old Town Landscape got back to me the day after I called and setup a date for an estimate. Alex gave me an estimate two days later on the gravel and drain and let me know he could start the following week. Alex's quote (he works time & material) was reasonable so we hired him. Alex showed up as scheduled and was on time. I had to go out of town and requested Alex send me pictures or videos as the work progressed. Alex in-fact sent me pictures and videos as I had asked and updates via text. Alex let me know he was running in to large boulders while installing the drain which would raise the price (hours worked). I already knew large granite rocks and boulders might be an issue so I approved the additional cost. The rocks & boulders were definitely no joke when I returned and saw them. Alex finished the job in a timely manner, left the job site neat and clean and communicated throughout the job. Alex later gave me an estimate for the patio which ended up being outside of my budget. I truly couldn't ask for much better. Alex clearly demonstrated he understands the importance of communication at all stages of the process. I highly recommend Alex and Old Town Landscape.

Three days later I noticed one was dying because of an aphid inspection…read more I called them and they said bring it back for exchange. 30 min later I showed up and was told they do not do exchanges for plants as they are living things and if my dog peed on it they would have no way to know. When I insisted I had talked to someone and I expected them to honor the phone call, that person came and let me exchange my plant. Poor training or poor customer service, either way not a pleasant experience.

I explained I had a leaking irrigation supply valve and wanted to get it fixed fast due to hot weather. Johnathan came by for estimate on Tuesday. He noticed the PVB was very old and valves rusted so that needed to be replaced also, but it could wait. I said I only want to cry once! So added that. I had an estimate later that evening and it was quite reasonable. I had mentioned I wanted an estimate for another little job and he said he would throw that in as a courtesy! Awesome! I accepted the quote and they came out that very Friday, dug a huge hole, replaced all the plumbing with commercial quality parts including the PVB, filled in and leveled, and had it all up and ready to go by 4PM! Glue needed to dry overnight, so next day fired it up and all good! Very pleased with the work and the quick response. They take Zelle and checks so none of this cash only thing so many contractors want to do. They handle lots of different services so I'm sure I'll be using them again soon!
