The other day My mom and I went to try Marufuku Ramen in Dublin for the first time. The food was so delicious and I really enjoyed it. We ordered the Hakata Tonkotsu and the Shoyu Ramen. The Hakata Tonkotsu ramen was delicious and I enjoyed the thin noodles, it was very yummy, the finely chopped green onions and sesame seeds were also good and paired well with the dish. They also did a good job at making the Seasoned soft boiled egg as well. The Shoyu ramen is a new menu item that they are trying out. I think I found it on the back or front end of menu. Overall it was very delicious and I found it worth it for $17, for the quality bowl of noodle soup ramen. It had a clear broth that was umami-rich and very flavorful. The dashi soup broth had bonito fish flakes in there as well. I think they did a really good job with making the soup broth dashi. The other ingredients like the bean sprouts, green onions, and bamboo also paired well to make the dish delicious. I hope that they can keep this on the menu after introducing it. Having this item on the menu is a good alternative to those who don't want to have a thick rich creamy broth ramen. I know for me sometimes my stomach cannot handle a thick, rich and creamy broth, so having the Shoyu ramen is a good alternative. With the addition of this menu item They will be able to reach more different customers and be flexible (what I mean by flexible is giving customers the option to choose between a thick broth and also have the option to order a delicious clear broth). Hope the Shoyu Ramen can stay on the menu permanently! It was so delicious and I enjoyed it as well. Our server was Mariya, she was friendly and did a good job. For example she refilled the tea without having to ask for more tea and was the one who told me about this new menu item they are trying out. I've always wanted to try Marufuku and see if it's worth the hype and yup it 100% is. We totally lucked out coming on a weekend for lunch and barely waited maybe 10 minutes for a seat? Upon getting our seat, our waiter was attentive and quick and we got our orders done fast. I love love love the kids' ramen meal; it's reminiscent of our trip to Japan with our kid where the kids' meals have so much to offer (a bowl of ramen, popcorn chicken, edamame, broccoli, juice box and a little dessert thingy). As far as I know, this is a pretty well-known ramen franchise, and after trying it myself, I can see why it's so popular. One thing that really stood out to me was the broth. At some Japanese ramen places, the broth can taste like it comes from a premade base, but here, it actually tastes like they take the time to make it properly from scratch. With franchises, the taste and quality can sometimes vary quite a bit from one location to another, but this place seems to be very consistent. I haven't been impressed by Japanese ramen very often, but this is definitely one of the places I feel like I can trust for a good bowl of ramen. Marufuku Ramen definitely lived up to the hype! We went on Labor Day and the wait was about an hour, so definitely get on the Yelp waitlist ahead of time. The A5 Wagyu skewer was flavorful, but honestly not quite worth it for me. The pieces were pretty fatty, and one piece was literally almost all fat. The Tonkotsu ramen was divine -- super flavorful broth with perfectly bouncy noodles. The chicken karaage was yummy with a generous portion, and the Tan Tan ramen was rich, spicy, and very good. I have been to the one in San Jose and this is the first time trying the Dublin location. There was a short wait when we went for lunch but wasn't bad. The interior was not huge but spacious enough. Very simple minimalist decor. 6 of us we ordered 2 appetizers, 3 mazemen, 2 ramen, and 1 tonkatsu curry rice. The portion was generous and most of us couldn't finish our plates. I liked the texture of the mazemen and both the chicken karaage and ika appetizers were quite good. I do want to mention a couple of areas they could have done better. With the Wagyu mazemen, overall it was very tasty and good, but out of just maybe 6 pieces of Wagyu beef, mine had one piece was mostly fat. I know Wagyu can be fatty and I enjoy some fat but this was basically a piece of fat with a little bit of meat. I recently tried Marufuku Ramen in Walnut Creek, so I didn't feel an urgent need to visit the Dublin location. But I wanted to take my parents there, and I'm so glad I did because I had no idea they offered a Dublin exclusive menu item, the Wagyu Mazesoba, $20 as of July 2026. It's a brothless mixing ramen with chopped Wagyu beef, thick noodles, soft, boiled, egg, green onions, red on, garlic chip, Kaiware (which are daikon radish sprouts), and a side of chili oil and vinegar. This ended up being something I super duper enjoyed. The noodles were thick, chewy, and incredibly bouncy. Even without adding the chili oil, the bowl was already packed with flavor. At the bottom of the bowl was this rich, savory sauce/oil that coated every strand of noodles perfectly. The Wagyu beef was marinated and cooked beautifully, and it paired so well with the noodles. I also really enjoyed the soft boiled egg. With that said, if only they offered a raw egg yolk as an option, I honestly think this could rival Kajiken. There was a wait time of 15 mins when we went so we just walked around until it was our time. I got the ramen and my bf got a karaage bowl. The ramen was good, other than maybe too much green onions, it was really enjoyable. The karaage bowl, same problem, too much green onions, and so was the mentaiko bowl I got. I mean I do love green onions but the onion they put on everything was a bit much. It was pungent and all I could taste. Loved that we were getting a ramen place in the Tri-Valley ! I've had Marafuku in Oakland so my expectations were quite high. I do really like that they have the waitlist option on yelp so we didn't have to wait too long on a Friday night. The restaurant aesthetic was modern contemporary and had lots of tables and a bar seating area. The servers were fast and attentive. I ended up getting the gyoza and the Hakata Tonkotsu DX. This is where it fell short for me. The crust on the gyoza wasn't crispy, it tasted burnt and had a chewy sticky texture to it despite the looks of it. The noodles and the egg were overcooked. Walked up at 1:35pm and the list on the iPad in front had me second on the list. It was a wait of about 5 minutes before we were seated. Our server Irvin asked if it was our first time here and he went over the menu with us. After checking out the menu, we placed our orders, which came out in about 5 minutes. I went with the Hakata DX - the Hakata style ramen with rich pork broth comes with chashu pork, a seasoned soft-boiled egg, green onions, kikurage mushrooms, bean sprouts pickled ginger, corn, sesame seeds, nori seaweed and the item that the regular Hakata Tonkatsu doesn't have, the braised thick pork belly. The noodles aren't really ramen noodles and the soba doesn't have actual soba noodles. We've been to the Oakland restaurant many times the past couple years, and it's nice to not have to drive to Oakland. This Dublin location has better parking, safer neighborhood, the restaurant itself is more spacious and inviting. Excellent job with the decision on opening here! It's not my favorite Ramen restaurant, but definitely my top choice, especially considering the limited options in the Bay Area. It was our first time trying to curry Wagyu. The flavors were good, but the meat to rice and sauce ratio was really off. I feel like they could definitely charge more and give more meat, considering how much sauce was given. I also appreciate the yelp waitlist very much. I added my name on the waitlist before I left the house and when we got there, we only had to wait about 10 minutes or less. So as you can imagine there was a lot of excitement and therefore lines/wait times. I was in the area visiting family and wanted to come here on a weekday. It was still pretty busy and it took a while to get in. Once I got in though it was surprisingly serene inside. I got a seat at the bar counter. Yelp WL for the win! I checked Yelp wait time and it quoted me 52-67 minutes. I joined the WL and was 19th in line but 21 minutes later, I was #3. Stopped by for dinner at 6 pm with my family. This is my third time at marufuku. Previously I dined at the Oakland and Japantown location and both experiences were good. We had the tonkatsu ramen and tantan noodles. Parts of it the noodles of my dandan ramen were lumped together which made the texture slightly off. The onsen egg was a bit too cooked to my liking and the minced meat were a bit too mushy. Also the server spilled the broth to the plate and it was not a small amount. So overall, my expectation was high but my experience could have been better. They were busy during lunch time and would kindly kick you out with your check. read more
