I love that this bagel shop is in my neighborhood! My favorite to order is a bagel sandwich with half egg salad and half tuna salad. I love this with an onion bagel or wheat bagel, but other flavors would be good too. Comes with a pickle spear and is a wonderful lunch! Shane. Your comment is just a pure unadulterated complete inaccurate statement. The tuna has changed. It used to be a white albacore dry consistency with quality tuna. It is darker colored watery and fishy tasting not the same brand. I checked on it several times because I thought maybe it was just that batch it's not. It has changed . You can say whatever you want, but anyone can go into your store and pick out some tuna or eat it and anyone that's been going there for years will know it's not the same. Several of my friends have stopped going there and now we go to Skips Skips actually tried to mimic everything you're doing. They now have salmon cream cheese, and they make their tuna more like yours in fact, the tuna that they make is so dry that I actually have to add a little mayo, but they are trying to copy your recipe. You can defend all you want, but meanwhile, your store does not have the lines out the door. I know many people that are not going anymore like myself and a lot of what you said is completely not true. Your prices have gone up and down the owner tried to literally gouge, and then he saw that it didn't work so he took the prices and modified them a bit and the pastries have no prices on them because they were hoping people will just say give me this give me that give me this and they don't wanna tell them what their prices are because they're not fair. I'm trying to report what's going on I'm giving an accurate account and I'm sure there are still some people there that were there before they could tell you how that store has changed and how low the amount of people that are coming in now as compared to what it was. your defensiveness is silly. This local bagel shop has been around for years! Located in strip center, it looks small from the outside. However, it is quite spacious once you enter with plenty of seating. The interior has charm with its diner like decor. There are a number of freshly made bagel flavors like the everything bagel, strawberry, pumpernickel, onion, tomato, etc. The list goes on. They also have various cream cheeses. Add on lettuce and tomato for free and make it a bagel sandwich. I tried the everything bagel with chive cream cheese and lettuce/tomato. Pretty good, although I would have liked the bagel a bit more toasted. We also got the tomato bagels. You have to get the vegetarian chili! Hearty, tasty, and perfect on those cold Ohio days. They threw in a complimentary mini bagel to enjoy with the chili! I love that they have many vegetarian options. The shop also sells some sweets, coffee, and cream cheeses to go. Coffee was good, bagels were just okay, and the service was average. Unfortunately, the cleanliness was a big issue. I understand that flies can be difficult to control, but there were an overwhelming number of flies everywhere throughout the restaurant. Visited recently to pick up a bakers dozen bagels and some of their in-house made flavored cream cheeses. Especially like the smoked salmon, Jalapeño, and Horseradish & Black Olive spreads. The bagels are top quality. For bagels with seasonings on the outside, like the 'combo' bagel (aka an Everything bagel), there are seasonings all around the bagel, not just on the top. Recipe changed in last 6 months. Puffy clouds of bread and no longer nyc chewy. Seems like they changed their flour from high gluten. Sad. The new owners will say they didn't make any changes but when it's so obvious - they should just own it and say 'yes we did make changes and we think it's for the new bagel consumer who likes a more breadlike less gluten/chewy bagel'. read more

As someone originally from New York and a bagel lover, living in the Midwest for the past 7 years has been a challenge. There just aren't that many good bagel places. I am super stoked to say that these bagels are great! They have a huge variety of bagels, though I almost always get an everything bagel (they call it a combo). We got a strawberry, egg and wheat combo as well and they were delicious! Had the appropriate crunch on the outside and fluff/softness on the inside. We also got some sliced Nova Lox which was delicious! I can't comment on their sandwiches just yet, but will likely go back to try them. Service is all done at the counter. They do have tables inside if you want to dine in. The ambiance is very shiny, diner style white tiles. Overpriced and they upcharge for everything. A bagel and lox now charges .75 for a few capers (and this is for a $16 sandwich). And they only put a small amount of cream cheese on only one side. I went to the recently opened location in Whitehall, OH. They replaced what used to be a Block's bagels and advertised as near New York bagel experience. When I entered, there were three women working, couldn't have been more than 16 years old. One other customer besides me. No sign indicating where to order, where to pick up... nothing. I waited. No one greeted me when I came in. No acknowledgement that I was there. After a couple of minutes another customer walked in. One of the workers asked him, "Have you been helped?" Then she took his order... a dozen everything bagels. Still no one said a word to me. She came back with a bag of a dozen plain bagels. He looked at it and said, "These aren't everything bagels." She made a comment that isn't what he'd asked for. She was wrong. Now a couple other customers entered. I am still standing at a cash register. One of the other customers who had just arrived then was being helped. After 5 minutes standing at a register being ignored, I left. I will not go back. You have one chance to make a first impression. Yours was a bad one. Train your staff. Have an adult on site to manage the place. read more
