When I walked into the store yesterday they had free apple cider that you can sip on while walking around and shopping. Besides clothing they also have jewelry and candles and cards and little knickknacks. There is a kids section with kids toys and books about how to be inclusive. I love their vibe and it's a very nice store which also has Instagram stories weekly so you can kind of see what they have in stock before you go there. It is a small business so it's nice to shop small.

I was trying to send business to local businesses since we live in Wake Forest so I was hoping to send business here. Today while running errands, I stopped in and asked how to make an appointment for consignment. She looked me up and down and said they don't take just anyone's clothes and tossed a four page pamphlet at me with a list of clothes they don't want, designers they don't want, and how to properly clean and present cloths to them. The whole thing seemed very harsh and abrasive. When I told her what items I had she was like "well I'm booked until June so you can try back then." I was floored. The store is extremely dated looking despite the requirement for "in style" fashions. I will not be back to shop or consign here. I do not recommend them whatsoever.

Between a choice of going to the mall or coming to Next, Next wins every time! My husband appreciates that and I get so many compliments. The other day, I decided to venture off to Cameron Village. While some areas of Cameron Village pretend like covid-19 is not a thing, Madison did a great job making me feel safe. You can try on clothes, and I am pretttyyyy sure they sanitize the clothes after you try em on. I put back a shirt I didn't want, and I noticed they went back and grabbed it off the rack and took it to the back, presumably to sanitize. I love that. I will 500% be back (esp when there are sales!)

We drove from Durham for the appointment and unfortunately, upon entry, were received with abysmal service and (lack of) interaction with the staff. No one greeted us in or even acknowledged our existence until one lady finally stated, "you my 3 o'clock?" As she proceeded to keep walking into the back before we could respond. She later returned and sat at the jewelry station staring down at her phone and continued to ignore us. Needless to say we left immediately. It's really disappointing, especially when you want to support a local business and do something special with your twin.
