Have gone to this store on numerous occasions most of the staff is very nice. However there are a couple staff members there that are very rude and not kid friendly. A store with kids books and toys should be more accommodating to families with small children. Finally stop by , it's cute gift store that you would normally find in OXB , Hilton island, small town gift shop items , some brand like beekmen , Susan Shaw , the plus side on this store is gift wrap! It's complementary, no matter how much it cost, ( which is plus in this type of business, no one does it ) customer service was good , you can find soap , earrings under $20.00 , but one thing I might add is they do charge state & county sales tax . Store itself is large building, lots of parking clothing is fun style and some basic too . I enjoyed today , it was better than chain stores. read more

Do you really need anything at Lily Maes? Probably not. Do you want it all? Yes! If you are ever in a bind for a quick little gift, just save some time and head straight to Lily Maes. It's mostly trinkets, jewelry, gadgets, fun things and some cute clothing too. I've taken visiting family members here to browse and shop. I've popped in on lunch break to grab a little gift for a coworker. It's not hard to find something that you or a loved one will enjoy. I will say it's mostly stuff for the ladies, but some offerings for the guys too. I found the staff to be friendly and accommodating. They offer gift wrapping too! Prices are fair to slightly higher end for trinkets. But I say that hesitantly because they do offer unique, local items so I like to support that. Been visiting Lily Mae's about once or twice a year since they opened 13 years ago. Unfortunately, staff has now become mostly teenage/college age girls (nothing wrong with that!), but the girls working there basically ignore you and/or make you feel rather awkward for even walking in... The store has a lot of kitschy stuff and items are priced quite high, expect sticker shock. Organized and well-lit, if a bit too crowded for my taste. If you're looking for preppy items, you'll be happy! Cute (overpriced) tees abound! I've seen a lot of the same shirts at Carolina Moon at Triangle Town priced much lower. Visiting Lily Mae's you can expect cute and somewhat unique items, high prices and pretty much non-existent (somewhat aloof or snobby) customer service. read more

Lily Mae's USED to be my "go to" store for holiday shopping, gifts, clothing, you name it. I did spend a bit of time and $ there. Well... They just lost me as a customer! In this past week alone, I just spent quite a bit of money on a few shirts and two pairs of shoes. My most recent purchase was TWO days ago - only to get an email that all the items I bought are now 20% off. I did not ask for all of my items in the past 7 days be adjusted, but assumed they would honor at least this latest purchase by refunding me 20% or at least let me return and repurchase the item at the lower price. Nope! The not so very customer oriented response was,"that's the way retail works" and 'if they did it for me, they'd have to do it for everyone else'. Um... that's the point, honor the customer, give them a good experience and actually get them to return. In my experience, retailers honor a 30 day price adjustment period for sale prices. There are plenty of local, trendy boutiques out there that I will now be shopping at, crossing Lily Mae's off of my list. read more

I bought a nice handbag from here and I really loved it. Although it was on the pricier end, I don't mind splurging on my self once in a while. Who doesn't? Lol, the quality of the purse was pretty good too, so that's another reason I didn't mind paying and also why I loved it. I can't really say anything else about the store though, because I happened to see the bag through the window and had to get it, and since I was pressed for time I didn't have time to shop around like I wanted, but they had cute handbags for sure! I had an unpleasant experience with this store regarding Pandora products. I needed service regarding the warranty of a bracelet that I received as a gift that was broken. The item was purchased from the online store. According to the warranty I should have been able to take the item to any authorized dealer. So I clicked on the link in the warranty under warranty services for a list of locations. Lily Maes in Wakeforest was on that list. Because this is the store I buy all my Pandora products from for myself as well as for gifts, I chose to take my bracelet there for warranty services. The young lady who helped me was very pleasant and helpful and willing to provide warranty services. Once I was checking out (because I had chosen 3 charms to purchase) and providing info for the warranty exchange, a different young lady stopped the transaction after I made a purchase and stated she would need to call the owner regarding the warranty services. The owner would not honor the service. I explained they were listed as an authorized location for such services. They did not care !!!!! I will no longer buy Pandora products from this store. The owner needs to have her location removed from this list. And maybe Pandora needs to speak with them about not honoring these services for Pandora customers. I did end up at the Crabtree Valley Mall location and they were wonderful. Thanks to Jo for all her help. I will be buying my Pandora products from this location in the future. read more
