From a medical perspective, it's been ok so far. I switched from MemorialCare 2 weeks ago due to just moving to the area and understanding their system and navigating the administrative process has been a real learning curve. I haven't seen an MD yet as my two visits so far has been with NPs. I have my first visit with an OB MD in two weeks and the PCP OB in three weeks, and hope everything will be smooth going forward.

I don't think I've ever physically gone into their office, or emailed with their office, and come out of the experience with an answer or a solution. I've dealt with MANY frustrating messages back and forth with his staff (he rarely messages patients) who hardly even perform their jobs at a bare minimum- they'll respond to messages within 48 hours, but they will not help you in any way unless you make an appointment, which brings in money for their office. One example is that I had a battery of labs completed to address abdominal discomfort I was having- and Dr. Italiano emailed me saying everything looked great, regardless of multiple readings being out of the "normal" range. I specifically pointed this out to him, and his staff responded saying if I wanted to address a new concern I'd have to schedule an appointment. A couple days ago I was asking them for help viewing a form they had sent me through their app, they responded that I had to view it in "the portal", and when I asked them what/where this "portal" was (in the app or somewhere else), they messaged me back saying they could no longer assist me and if I wanted anything I had to call their records department (who have also proven to be completely incompetent in the past). This office drops the ball in every way, and they only care about making money off office visits. They do not care about you or your health, and only want to line their pockets with the money your insurance provider pays out for endless office visits. I will absolutely be changing my PCM, because I'm so tired of dealing with this staff.

At times it can be hetic with the front desk staff trying to help everyone but they are still friendly. I do have a small issue with some of the nursing staff. I understand that they are there to be the buffer for the doctor but sometimes when a patient needs to speak with the doctor they legitmatley NEED to speak with the doctor and not their nurse. At other times they are busy and when they respond to you it is a bit short and lacking compassion. Not rude just down to business with no finess, however once the doctor comes in she is all bedside manner and the experience gets turned back around. Received an order to see a urologist but 4 months to see them. Appointment services are now provided by a South American call center that sounds like, well, a giant call center. Barely understand with the heavy accent and the background noise. Graybill is broken and management doesn't care.

They are quick to respond to requests and are extremely helpful. Dr. Castrejon makes you feel like you're talking to a close friend about your medical problems. I felt comfortable instantly and he definitely knows what he is doing. He is well-educated and enjoys talking to patients.
