We got panels installed in fall 2025 and got the system turned on in January. Greg answered a million questions and has continued to be our liaison and advocate. They under promised our production and have over delivered on our pepco savings. However, our roof was in rough shape but instead of letting us know that we shouldn't get panels before fixing the roof they said it would be fine and when we replace the roof in ten years they will remove and reinstall the panels for free under warranty. So after some big rains we realized we had roof leaks. Now the leaks were not coming in directly where they installed the panels, just close by. Our roof never had issues before, but with a bunch of guys climbing and hammering into it, there was bound to be issues. Without going into excruciating detail, the sales team has been great but the customer service from the company is lacking unless you get harsh with them. Having to wait 4 months to get panels reinstalled after getting a new roof, the techs not labeling the electrical so reinstall did not go smoothly, and two electrician visits because the first one didn't connect all the panels did not leave us impressed with the service. Finally all is resolved, but it's been a roller coaster. After everything my main takeaway is to make sure your roof is in really good shape before installing solar.

We signed a contract in mid-August 2025 and paid a $5,700 deposit in exchange for a guarantee that work would be substantially completed within 90 days. It is now January and no work as been done, and every effort at contact goes unanswered. It's a giant scam to steal your money. Sales Rep. Brian Spinazzola made a lot of big promises when he came into our home to discuss the project, but from the minute we signed the contract he figured he had his commission and stopped being responsive. We'll have to see him and Solar Energy World in court.

They were highly recommended by a friend and I found the recommendation to be so. From initial contact with Mo, the local Fairfax representative of the company, they were immediately responsive and helpful. The roof worked out great. They were timely, neat, efficient. Their cost was highly competitive. I give them high marks for workmanship, product, communication, and cleanup. Recommended.

My experience revealed a massive discrepancy between what they billed and what was actually performed on my home. Panda Exteriors billed the insurance company for significant work that never happened: Removal and replacement of gutters and downspouts. Installation of a new drip edge. Their own documentation claimed the gutters had to be replaced because they were spiked into the fascia. The reality? They never touched the gutters. When I confronted them, their supplement team eventually admitted in writing that they billed for gutter work that was never performed. Despite this, their public response was to claim that "documentation does not reflect the scope of work," essentially gaslighting the situation until I presented the physical proof and their own team's admission. Charging an insurance company for materials and labor that were never delivered is a serious lack of integrity. I have a dated contract and invoice from the second contractor and photos of the original, unreplaced materials to prove the discrepancy.

The owner, Elena, was very professional, always helpful when we called with questions, and A pleasure to work with. I was very specific about how I wanted my 10 KW system designed--both in scope and budget. I also wanted to work with an installer who was deeply familiar with the incentives available in my area. That criterion alone narrowed down the list significantly. When I began reaching out to various companies, I quickly discovered a frustrating trend: many solar installers were locked into a rigid, one-size-fits-all approach and were unable (or unwilling) to work outside of a limited system design. My project required string inverter build, which further complicated the search. Another challenge I encountered was a general lack of knowledge among some companies' sales teams. Many couldn't confidently discuss critical elements like system components or even the federal Investment Tax Credit (ITC), which is currently in the phase-out period--making it even more urgent for homeowners to act now. After speaking with many companies, I had the good fortune of connecting with Ms. Elena Zenke, owner of Bee Happy Solar. From our first conversation, I knew she was different. She was knowledgeable, flexible, and respectful of both my timeline and payment preferences. She welcomed my involvement in the design process, listened to my needs, and collaborated with me to ensure the system met my vision. Bee Happy Solar is the only company I know of that offers both string inverter and micro inverter solutions, which speaks to their technical versatility. A few months after my installation, I upgraded my home modem and lost connection to my inverter's monitoring system. Elena personally came back to my home and assisted with a support call to the micro inverter manufacturer until the issue was resolved. That level of post-installation service truly solidified my trust in her and her company. The installation crew was professional, efficient, and meticulous in their work. One of the installers even helped me resolve a minor issue with my skylight--completely unrelated to the solar project--and did so at no charge. That act of generosity did not go unnoticed. Post-installation, Ms. Zenke continued to go above and beyond. She assisted in completing additional paperwork for incentives such as the Baltimore County Property Tax Credit and the Maryland Solar Access Grant. In summary, Bee Happy Solar exceeded my expectations at every stage--design, installation, follow-up, and incentive processing. I would enthusiastically recommend them to anyone considering solar, especially if you're looking for a customized approach backed by exceptional service and expertise.
