I unfortunately had to lay my dog to rest recently, and they went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable (and even sent us flowers!!). I cannot thank them enough for how well they've taken care of her. Yes they are on the pricey side, but you get what you're paying for 100%.

I like one of the vets very much. I do think that they push some things that are not necessary but…read morethey treat animals well and do good work. They are pricey and they say they are an emergency clinic- which really means they will take new patients on in emergency but they don't have all of the equipment or a 24 hour care staff- so it worked in my situation and I have stayed with them. However they now have a pharmacy so even if you can order the identical medication or flea and tick treatment online they won't give you an Rx you need to use them. They also don't let you hold pets when you know that they will be calmer with you and exams and vaccines will go more smoothly. They are very nice. Make sure if your pet needs a procedure or operation that the vet sends an estimate because I was given a price and walked in the morning of the procedure to learn it was going to be close to $500 more. So if they are convenient they are competent and pleasant but pricey and I don't think that they should insist on using their pharmacy especially for flea and tick medicine that can be found cheaper at multiple online sites and is prepackaged by the company and other very common pet meds. And some pets are calmer and behaved when the owner helps. So if you're looking at quality of care it's good and they are nice.

When I asked if I misunderstood the accusation, the response from the front desk was that people do steal and the accusation of potential theft was not because of my race (I am a black woman). I never brought up my race, and previously I did not linked my race to the accusation. I was hoping to speak to leadership about how the situation was handled, but they were too busy to address the issue initially, and offered to call me. They could have called/contacted me if I had actually left without paying as they had all of my contact information. I finally spoke to Dr. Nesbitt once her employee yelled at me, stating that I could just leave and somewhere else (of course I had already paid). Not the best way to start my Friday. But I will find another vet and I suggest you do the same. I spoke with them and this post because people have to do better with their unconscious bias. It steals the joy out of people's day and chips away at humanity, kindness, and the happiness that human interactions can bring. Especially with pet lovers.

Unfortunately, we arrived 12 minutes late for our 1:00 PM appointment. When we checked in, there were no pet patients waiting in the lobby. The front desk employee informed us that she needed to ask the veterinarian if we could still be seen. She returned a few minutes later and told us that because we were 12 minutes late, our pet would not be seen. I politely asked if I could speak directly with the veterinarian, but I was told that the doctor was unavailable because she was with another patient. Ironically, the veterinarian was already running behind schedule and was seeing another patient during the time our appointment had been scheduled. Yet despite the office itself running late, there was absolutely no flexibility when it came to a client who was only 12 minutes behind. What was even more disappointing was the attitude of the front desk staff. When I explained that if our pet could not be seen, we would transfer her care to another veterinary practice, the response was simply, "OK, no problem," delivered with complete indifference. There was no attempt to apologize, offer another solution, or show any concern about losing a client. As a physician who has owned and operated multiple medical offices for more than 20 years, I understand the importance of keeping a schedule. However, I also understand that healthcare--whether for people or pets--requires compassion, common sense, and professionalism. We have patients who drive long distances to see us, and if someone is 10 or 15 minutes late, we do everything we reasonably can to accommodate them rather than turning them away. That's how long-term relationships are built. This experience felt less like a healthcare practice and more like a business enforcing rules without any regard for customer service or empathy. It left us feeling completely unvalued. For the owner or practice partners, if you happen to read this review, our pet's name is **Ziba**, and the appointment was scheduled for **Saturday, July 11, at 1:00 PM**. I hope you will look into what happened because I suspect this interaction does not reflect the standard of care you would want your practice to be known for. Unfortunately, we will not be returning. We were prepared to spend several hundred dollars on our pet's wellness care and vaccinations, but we will gladly take our business to another veterinary practice in the community that values its clients and treats them with kindness and respect. I think this version will have a much stronger impact because it focuses on the facts, avoids personal attacks or speculation about the veterinarian's motives or employment status, and clearly explains why the experience was disappointing. That makes it more credible to readers and more useful to the practice owner if they choose to investigate.

The sitters vary but all are enthusiastic based on the reports they leave. After every visit the sitter leaves a note of when they came and left and what they did. They also usually text us an update and a picture of our birds. We come back to a stack of reports. The sitter stays a while after the food, water, and paper are changed to make sure the birds aren't acting weird, and I hear that some singing goes on. We've never had a problem and have be accommodated at very short notice when we want to go away for the weekend. Also want to add that Stewart (when he came for the home visit) was wearing a mask and gloves to protect against COVID (a welcome sight). Absolutely the worst veterinary experience we've ever had…read more We drove 4 hours each way after scheduling surgery for our husky. We received a written quote for $1,100, paid the required deposit, and scheduled the surgery based on that price. When we arrived, we were shocked to be told the cost had suddenly increased by about $700. When we asked why, the explanation was that their prices had gone up that same morning. We then asked what percentage the increase was, and we were told 2.5%. That explanation simply didn't make sense, as a 2.5% increase does not justify adding roughly $700 to a quoted $1,100 procedure. What upset us even more was the lack of communication. We repeatedly asked to speak with Dr. Parker before leaving our husky for surgery. We could hear him outside the room, yet we were told he was too busy and would see our dog later and speak with us at the end of the day. At that point, he had never examined our husky, never introduced himself, and had not spoken to us at all. We simply wanted our dog to meet the veterinarian who was about to perform surgery and to have a few minutes to ask questions before entrusting him with our family member. When Dr. Parker finally walked into the room, he told us he was very busy, didn't have time to talk, and needed to leave. The interaction lasted only moments, and we were left feeling completely dismissed. After driving 8 hours round trip, all we wanted was five minutes of the doctor's time before handing over our beloved husky for surgery. Instead, we were met with an unexpected price increase and an attitude that made us feel like an inconvenience. We chose to take our dog and leave because we no longer felt comfortable proceeding. Based on our experience, I would encourage anyone considering this hospital to confirm every detail in writing, ask how pricing changes are handled, and make sure you're comfortable with the level of communication before trusting them with your pet. We left feeling disappointed, frustrated, and that our concerns were not taken seriously.
