Great location within a convenience store. If you go there more than a few times, they will know your order very quickly and strive to give it to you without even having to ask great drinks and the service is wonderful. Love the coffee here but the manager rachel is horrible to those girls! I've seen her yell at them, not answer their questions, and be passive aggressive towards them! One of the girls asked her a question and tried to help her make the coffee and she quite literally was "shooing" them away! They all seem very sweet besides her! What secrets does the back of this 7-11 hold? Aside from the exact recipe of the "free chili" for your rotating hot dog (yeesh), there's a full-service Marylou's in the back - huzzah! When you go to the pink, as they say (they don't say that), you get iced coffee. Most regulars opt for the sugar bomb, candy bar flavors (read: Specialty Coffees) that will not only knock up your teeth with a full-on enamel assault, but the creams and dairy bases will make your midafternoon treat a full on meal. Proceed with caution, waist watchers. Luckily, Marylou's offers a full selection of flavor roasted but not sweetened Gourmet coffees that'll save you a few hundred cals without sacrificing the illusion of a sweet treat. My mix: half hazelnut, half banana nut - a 32oz large is $4 even after tax, and it always tastes great. Super friendly staff, which seems to be a standard at Marylou's. Marylous is an interesting case study in that they hire cute young girls to serve coffee, similar to Cowgirls in Seattle (not a strip club) just girls in Bikinis serving coffee (kind of a safety hazard). Despite that, the coffee is delicious and reasonably priced. The girls scout cookie is a personal favorite and takes me back to the days it was safe for kids to go door to door to sell delicious chocolate mint cookies. Totally worth the 40 minute commute south to pick up a big cup of coffee. Tip: If you want to take it home, dont get iced and bring it home in the box and add ice later. Regardless of what side of the DD/Starbucks schism you fall under, all other coffees will suck once you get your first taste of Mary Lou's. This is phenomenal coffee for coffee aficionados that like a great deal. And while their hot cuppas are certainly delicious, Mary Lou's is really the final destination for exceptional iced coffee drinks. Try the "Funky Fanabla". Though it sounds like what you woke up next to after too much tequila at Jose McIntyre's, it's actually Mary Lou's most popular drink and tastes like the marriage of a mexican gunslinger to a white russian (sounds like a Brad Pitt movie and just as yummy). If that doesn't have you salivating, the "Girl Scout Cookie" will get you hooked for life. Mint syrup, chocolate flavoring and whipped cream mixed with coffee seems sketched out and gross? Only until you take a swig and drink the entire thing in 4 minutes because it's so tasty. In fact, if there is any downside to this place other than the pepto bismol pink cups, it has to be that the drinks are SO good that you drink them too quickly. And it's sad when they're done. My friend and I had been to a Marylou's earlier in the day, and I was just reminiscing about the mocha raspberry iced coffee I had earlier and saying how I would love another one when my friend suddenly pulled into a parking lot- and lo, we were at this Marylou's location! Maybe I have ESP or coffee radar! Even though it shares the location with a convenience store, it's a full fledged Marylou's. Same coffee, same great service, and same great prices. I'm not a huge coffee fan, but when i do drink, i would mortify anyone who is. I like half-decaf and the other half flavored. So when i walked into Marylou's and saw the line up of ridiculous flavors i was in heaven. Completely antithetical to the concept of coffee as a nuanced or elegant beverage, but a cheap nasty thrill just the same.
