Waited another 10 minutes for him to bring it outside. Food needs more seasoning. Ordered zucchini and mushrooms. No mushrooms and most of the zucchini overcooked and mushy. Potatos were cold and really dark. Cucumber salad needs more seasoning. Meat was ok but dry. Taziki needs to be thicker and cucumbers in it need to be smaller. Went here for the first time today and was very impressed. Inside it was nice and clean and the food looked fresh. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. I observed him greeting guests from coming from behind the counter to answer their questions and he was attentive in maintaining the cleanliness of the restaurant including the unoccupied outdoor patio. This was my first visit here. He walked me through my options. I opted for a salad trio and spicy hummus for dine in. Food was flavorful and as someone who eats Mediterranean often, without having tasted the other options, the smell was authentic. They also offer a rewards program, which allowed me to get a free homemade pistachio baklava. Other customers meals were well proportioned. Everyone seems to be content. Suggestions: Mary's has an authentic feel and authentic music such as Angel Julian or Stefan would have been perfect. Decor: very nice decor. Stopped in here when in the area. At first, no one was at the "order here" place. Then when he was, he couldn't understand my questions. Husband and I ordered lamb pita sandwiches. It took a surprisingly long time to get them, as there was really no one else in the place at the time; but they must have prioritized take-out orders. Iced tea dispenser dispensed hot tea, and their ice dispenser didn't work, so they had to bring suspicious looking very white ice cubes from the back. Small plastic cups (which were impossible to separate) were all they had for the drinks, and their tops did not fit the cups, in spite of the fact that we tried several. When we finally got the pita sandwiches, they pretty much tasted like mostly the too-thick pitas; but mine was worse because the pita was burnt, and it all tasted burnt. The lamb that there was tasted chewy. The tables are wood-topped, which can never be cleaned well. The restroom floor was quite sticky, the toilet took several flushes to actually flush, and the soap dispenser was empty. We would never consider coming back to this place. read more

I really enjoyed this food. The place is very family oriented. It is a good side for small or large parties. Most seating is for 4 people. They have a bar that you can choose your own combinations or they have pre-set plates. The food was very fresh and tasty, good flavors. They are a bit short staffed but they were extremely polite and servicial. The plates range from $8.99 - $18.99. The baklava with pistachio it's delicious. The 4 starts is because my brother order 3 meats so they charged 3 separate plates. So, just be aware of that. Also, my baklava was short of one half. Overall is a great place for Mediterranean food. The lamb gyro meat was okay, probably would've been better if the meal was hot when it arrived. Not sure where the "Pomegranate" was in the eggplant, just seemed like roasted eggplant. Hard to complain about fattoush, though it was just a cucumber salad with some vinaigrette, no bread in it. The hummus was shockingly bland; as though it was chickpea and nothing else. I thought in DFW bad restaurants cannot stay in business, but apparently they strive in Frisco. And don't blame Door Dash. I tracked them and they came straight to my house 5 minutes away after picking up the food. Where do I start? The Pita was like if you bought it from Kroger and didn't bother to warm it up. Dry, cold, hard and no flavor. My Gyro meat, there is no way that was fresh. It tasted like it was cut yesterday and sat under a heat lamp all day. Burnt, no juices left. How do you screw up Gyro meat. The vegetable sides were just scary and redicuous. Mushroom and eggplant looked like it came out of a Vitamix, the cauliflower was burnt and both had a heat lamp burn taste. See pictures. Saving grace was the spicy hummus. But since I didn't have decent pita had to bust out the chips. It's an embarrassment that food like this can be served here. Maybe it was a bad night but I'm not going back to find out. HUGE PORTIONS, Great Food, and some pretty nice guys who own/ work here. Since moving to Prosper, we have gone to Mary's several times to get our fill of good Mediterranean dishes. Their loyalty program is generous as well, so you get a few bucks off fairly frequently and the prices are already great for the amount of food you get. Highlight meats: Lamb shank, kafta, and Mary's chicken. everything is good but these stand out. The falafel is good, but like anything fried and then put into takeout containers, you need to crisp it up in the oven when you get home (assuming takeout). Highlight sides: Cauliflower (yes, really!), eggplant (yes, I'm still being serious), chef's rice, and mixed beans. Bonus: Get both types of baklava. There is no way to pick a winner. read more

Almost all the entrees are on par. The delivery from doordash is really fast. It's hard to make exceptional food from a restaurant. In order to please one group you sour another group. Take for instance, I don't remember jalapenos in Mediterranean Cuisine, but it tends to be a fusion of flavors from Texas. Some of the misses might be --the hummus (tastes kind of like hummus mix) . This item is difficult if your a restaurant owner because to make it authentic you would have to boil your own chic peas. An alternative would be to use Goya canned (have not found an alternative that tastes right then use a food processor and blend in some olive oil and a zest of a lemon really gives it a good kick.). --cauliflower is always burnt. Try steaming it a bit before the dunk into the fryer or lower the fryer temperature and cook a little longer Kudos for the Falafel (awesome!) spices are good, Greek yogurt (really good), also most of your sauces are amazing. The Couscous is terrific as well as the lamb and most every other item that I have tried. Sorry for the lengthy review, I tend to give recommendations instead of just complaints. read more
