This restaurant is beautiful inside. Took a bit to take our order and the restaurant wasn't busy but service was good. We started with the Babaghanoosh which was good but not the best I've had. The pita bread was fresh and delicious. My son had the lamb chops which he loved! I had the lunch special with chicken which I did not care for as much. Parking in legacy west can always be a little tricky. Legacy west has a garage attached to it. Came in early for dinner on a weekday and there was no wait. The sampler was fantastic and allowed you to try a little bit of everything. The lamb chomps were also great. I subbed out a side for the rice. read more

My family made a last-minute decision to eat dinner here with my mother-in-law for dinner and we definitely chose right! We started with the Darna sampler which came with a bunch of different dips, crisp, veggies, and pita bread. It was such a great variety of dips, but my favorite was the feta cheese dip. For an appetizer, we also ordered the lamb cigars, which were so good. We ended up ordering more, I've absolutely never had anything like that! They had a few cocktails on the happy hour menu so we ordered a round of old-fashioned and my mother-in-law got a drink called by the sea, which is also known at other places as the aviator. Unfortunately, our server did not know that to get happy hour pricing you have to actually sit at the bar, but they went ahead and honored the price since we were holding incorrectly so great customer service with that! Everyone absolutely loved their food, from the lamb ragu spaghetti, to the lamb shank with saffron risotto, the seafood paella with lamb sausage, the lamb chops, and the saffron chicken. We all tasted each other's food and were thoroughly impressed. We ordered a pot of hot tea at the end of the night to help the food settle in nice and warm into our bellies. We weren't sure if we were going to get any dessert but one of the servers told us that it was the perfect time to order the crème brûlée because it was literally prepared 15 minutes prior so we put in an order for two and shared them across the table. I must say it is the most delicious crème brûlée I've ever had in my life! It had orange blossom, which gave it such a beautiful, clean, floral, elevated flavor, like nothing I've ever had! It was so fresh. It was still ever so slightly warm. We love how clean and open the dining area was, and they also have outdoor dining, which is perfect for this nice weather that we are getting. This is a great place to eat. If you are careful to not have pork in your diet, they do not have a single pork item on the menu. My husband and I been eating at Darna since it opened in 2022 and it's been amazing up until our most recent 2 visits. One visit where we were sitting there was water droplets near our table from the ceiling and our 2nd visit which was recent our table didn't have a waiter so we had to flag a waiter down to take our order. The waiter was super nice and apologized to us! We wanted to substitute the mashed potatoes for rice but said the chef gets mad for substitutions and required a $3 up charge for that so we didn't take it. The place is bigger than I expected, with a full bar and great specials (half-off wine on Wednesdays) We started with sparkling water, a spritz, & a dirty martini. The chef's hummus was fresh and creamy with a touch of tzatziki, and the pita was perfect. We also had the mussels in a rich red sauce and some crispy, flavorful falafel with a beautiful presentation. For dessert, we ordered the kunafa and woooow!!!! . I always try it wherever I go, but this one stood out with a little goat cheese mixed in. So gooooood! Overall food was FRESH , well seasoned, staff friendly and very welcoming & drinks were really goood... the GM suggested a Turkish coffee martini at the end and i must say it was SPECTACULAR!! Tried Darna Mediterranean Eatery at Legacy recently. Started with two mocktails. The natural syrup flavors were good, but both drinks were overly sweet. Would've been much better balanced with more soda/seltzer water. The hummus brisket pastrami appetizer was solid. Really liked the caramelized onions with the hummus and pastrami. The bread was fluffy and really good, just wish they gave more than two pieces. Meat could've been hotter though. My wife got the seafood paella. Decent overall with large shrimp and mussels. She enjoyed it. The lamb shank was the huge miss for me, especially at around $40. It looked substantial at first, but the actual edible meat portion was pretty small. Most of it was dry, tough, and under-rendered around the connective tissue. For a Mediterranean restaurant, a slow-braised lamb dish should be a slam dunk, especially after it was recommended by our waitress. Service was average overall. We ordered additional drinks, but our water never got refilled during the meal. I'd probably come back if I was already in the area, but I'd stick to kebabs or other grilled items next time. read more

First, the food was not up to the standard I had come to expect. The kebabs were dry, everything tasted overly greasy, and the chicken piccata was overwhelmed with far too many lemon slices, making it difficult to enjoy. Second, the service was poor. Our waiter was inattentive throughout the meal, and we were told we weren't allowed to have my birthday cake, which was especially disappointing given that we were celebrating a special occasion. Finally, the atmosphere made the experience even worse. The music inside was so loud that I couldn't hear my friends sitting right next to me, and there were fruit flies and other bugs flying around our table throughout the meal. We've been here several times and always enjoyed it but today was standout. We were sitting on the patio when it started to drizzle which quickly became and downpour. They were quick to get us inside and tried to create an umbrella tunnel to get us to the door without getting wet. I love the sidewalk seating area with a look and feel that is common in Europe and the middle east. The ambience is great for socializing, casual dining, or date night. One side of the bar opens to the streetside patio which adds the euro ambiance I mentioned above. They have some very good signature cocktails but the bar is otherwise limited in their selection of liquors. There has been quite a bit of turnover with bar staff during in the last couple of years. Nevertheless, although not always exceptional, service at the bar it is usually more than adequate. My food servers (when seated at a table) have all been knowledgeable and competent . I usually request one in particular (Nawar) that is very attentive and goes the extra mile. The hummus came out with 2 fresh pita breads, and it was really good. The hummus was fresh and seasoned really well, and the chicken was just chicken.
