Called in a request to check possible peak for AC unit I bought 2.5 years ago. ($6K purchase) They booked me for an appointment 7am-9am the next day, didn't tell me there would be any charge. They rang the doorbell during a zoom meeting 3-4 times at 2:30pm the day before, because they finished up early. Were already on my roof, then checked the unit, no leak, and charged me $75 because the warranty was only for 2 years. I called Crystal and told her I was unhappy with the service, and they still charged me the $75. Never dealing with Marz again. read more

This review is only for Response time, Customer Service and Pricing. A LITTLE BACKGROUND: Originally, when my a/c went out in Saturday morning, the tech from another company found a blown fuse. Well, a few hours later, it went out again. But, this other company wanted to charge me another Emergency service call, plus extra $ for diagnostics. Needless to say, I said no. In Monday, my regular a/c guy came by 3 times because of problems. He finally suggested to replace my 14 y.o. system. :-( Well, my guy wouldn't be able to get a new system installed for 3-4 weeks. :-o In addition to the referral that they gave me, and the Yelp referrals, I had 5 contractors to get pricing from. Well, the company who was referred to me (never got a price) wouldn't gave been able to come out until this morning, and the system wouldn't be installed until Friday, or Monday. So, of the 4 Yelp referrals, 3 contacted me within 1 hour. The 4th, has a 1 day response time (in Emergency situations, the hat company should not be part of the referral system). NOW, starts the review for Marz Mechanical. Well, Chrystal was the 1st of the 3 Yelp referrals to contact me. And originally, she gave me a "tomorrow" time to come out, and give me an estimate. A little later in the morning, I was informed that they could be there "today" 8-) . Well, Jacob showed up, took measurements, and looked around at the system. He told me, that he could give me a system (price came up after he left, as he had to check with the office, and it was $6,100.00), and bring a portable a/c in the morning. With install being within 3 days. Now, of the 3 companies that gave me pricing, Marz Mechanical came in the lowest. Between the fast response, PMs (fast replies) and Jacob being professional, yet friendly, I would have gone with them. However, since my inside temperature was already over 100 (got to 107!), and I found another company (from Yelp) who was able to do a same day install, I couldn't wait for the portable a/c to be delivered. And, what a Hotel would have cost, the savings difference wasn't worth it. A darn shame. Had they had a portable a/c that they could have delivered the same day, I would have gone with 'em for sure. Thank you Chrystal, and Jacob. Maybe in 10-15 years when this unit goes kaput, we'll be able to do business (may be keep a portable a/c on the truck for such situations?). read more

They didn't try to upsell me services I don't need which was refreshing. They use an app to notify you when your technician is on his way how long it will be until he arrives. Our A/C went out so we let our home warranty know. We paid 70 dollars for an estimate from Marz. The repair technician said it would take 3 weeks to get one of the three parts he said it needed. Three weeks came and went and so did another 3 weeks Marz offered no solution. Finally the home warranty told us to call another company. We got another company to come out within 24 hrs it was fixed and we're told we did not even need the part Marz claimed to be waiting on. Temperatures had gotten as high as 115 while we waited for a part we learned that we didn't even need. My son and 86 yr old mother in law both had heat strokes. We accumulated big medical bills as a result. We called Marz over and over and we're treated very rudely by a female employee that answered the phone. She even threatened me. Marz gave us the poorest customer service we have ever experienced. They totally lacked common courtesy and professionalism. She quoted me $85 flat to repair my sink, and gave me 3 choices for appointment times. I informed her that I work a lot and took a sick day today, is anyone available. She got right back to me with a time for today, which I happily accepted. Erik was at my house about 1/2 hour later. I'm home with a migraine, and Erik was super understanding. I told him to yell out if he needed me and went to lay down. He was so great! He very quickly fixed my sink and really went above and beyond, being that the repair was a little more than originally thought to be. I was charged what Chrystal quoted me, there was zero attempt to charge me more or sell me on any other products. Erik did inform me that they also do A/C tuneups but didn't shove it down my throat. I never write reviews but my experience with Marz has been absolutely awful. My mobile AC unit broke, and although they came out quickly to evaluate it, it took weeks to get it replaced (with zero communication). I called them multiple times with no response. I had to email for them to acknowledge me. They told me it would take a couple of weeks for the unit to get in. Which is fine, but what is not acceptable is failing to let me know. I shouldn't have to call to get an update. Then I got an email stating my appointment time (no options for days or times). After installation, I thought everything was great until my unit started LEAKING, all over the walls, baseboards, and tile. I have called four times and emailed them with no response. Their communication is TERRIBLE. Customer service is TERRIBLE. They don't even have the decency to return a call. And although the install itself was quick, they installed a leaking unit rather than a new one I was promised. Now I'm waiting on a call back to reschedule, which I doubt I will receive. read more

Marz mechanical went above and beyond when working on our plumbing issue. Our house was diagnosed with leak in a cold water pipe under the foundation. This is a scary thing to hear but Marz mechanical made my wife feel comfortable about the situation. Two days after the diagnosis(because it was a weekend) our leak was fixed in hours. The technicians had to go into our attic and they even moved my clothes that were hanging in the closet and put them back so they wouldn't get dirty! I recently contacted Marz for thermostat not operating, so we've been without heat, and what a shock when their guy came over. He didn't do anything but look and forced our poor family to pay him right then for looking around. He never tried to fix the thermostat and kept saying to my family he can't touch anything without approval. What a joke. After an agreed amount of $1100 I was told it was now $1500 the next morning, and since the contract was to be sent in the morning I got a cancel call and text. My Home Warranty company sent this air condition repair company to my house to repair an air conditioner that was not blowing cold air. The person who came out did not check to see if the line was leaking he just put four tons of freon in it and charged me $210 in addition to the $70 service call I had to pay the Home Warranty company . Because the insurance company doesn't pay for the freon. Everything was fine for a short period of time it worked great for about 4 hours when all freon R22 continued to leaked out. Marz Mechanical.. refused to come back in less than 2weeks and said it needed to be a new service call. Which it was not a new problem it was the exact same problem and he took 220 dollars from me for the wasted freon and he refused to reimburse the money I had wasted. They now said that we had a leak and if I had a leak why didn't they check that before they put more freon in the unit they do not have any response other than we're not coming back we're not refunding your money and now they don't even return phone calls I'm going to insist the Home Warranty company drop them I've never had anyone be so dishonest in my life. They ripped us off because it's 118 degrees outside and what am I going to? They know it's a home warranty so they cheat and lie. I won't let this go till they refund my money they took and did nothing. They Refused a recall. And home warranty company doesn't know what to do with them. Our 2-10 Home warranty company set up service to have our plumbing fixed by Marz Mechanical. Of course, we have to pay our $70. then the home warranty pays for the repairs. First of all, it took a week for Marz to set up the service call. Then the guy comes out, cuts a crooked hole in the drywall and finds the leak in the drain line. Writes up the order says he will have it turned into our home warranty to see if it's covered. A week later we are calling them they say they are waiting for our home warranty. Call 2-10 warranty and they can't reach Marz. Finally a week later, our home warranty said they were denying the claim because the young guy from Marz writes on the form submitted to 2-10 that it was "due to improper installation"!!!! We cancelled the home warranty had another plumber come out and there was nothing wrong with the installation. What a scam! Makes me wonder if the two companies are working together! read more

We have been leaving them messages for 5 days to give authorization and cannot get a call back. They have now been without ac for 10 days. Trying to get the home warranty company to give us someone else now. but can't get through to One Guard either. This is a vicious cycle. Don't touch them. read more

We took advantage of SRP's annually $29.95 A/C summer service. SRP contracted your company to service our A/C unit. Your company called us the same day to set up the service appointment and even called us when there was a cancellation (just didn't work with our schedule). The company's receptionist was extremely nice in setting up the appointment. The day of the service, I got a courtesy call from the technician providing a ETA of his arrival. Our technician was Ben and arrived in a timely manner. Very professional and knowledgeable in his work. Ben spent about a hour and a half checking the whole A/C unit system. After Ben completed the service, he took his time going through every component that was checked. He even took pictures of the two minor things to keep an eye out for in the future. Ben also informed us of the reasonable prices that the company has to offer to their customers on A/C services and work. I would have signed up for it, but we are currently selling our home. I would HIGHLY recommend your company to family and friends. Ben did a really great job in servicing our A/C unit! read more

Our home warranty company set us up with Marz Mechanical after the initial company we requested was not available for 3 weeks. Living out here in Phoenix you really can't live without a viable AC system from about mid-April through September so we couldn't wait that long. We were hesitant at first since the last AC outfit our home warranty company set us up with was an absolute disaster. I will happily admit I couldn't have been more wrong about the folks at Marz. Jacob came out and quickly diagnosed the issue regarding a faulty capacitor that was causing the blower to only push out air intermittently. Our 19 year old Carrier also needed freon which is why even when it was pushing out air, it wasn't very cold air. At the time he unfortunately didn't have any more freon on him but promised us that he would call around to his other co-workers in the area who were out working jobs and get back to us before the end of the day. True to his word, he called back and came back out to top off the freon levels and we haven't had any AC issues since they left. I want to say this was about 8 weeks ago. I waited a bit to see if any other mysterious issues would pop up like we had with the previous AC company our home warranty set us up with but kudos to Marz Mechanical for hiring people like Jacob (who was also very friendly and engaging) who take pride in their work and value their customers.
