While we did not choose this company, we did take what Austin taught us and applied it to our choice. He was responsive and fair in price for the brand he installs. It's just more than we can afford right now. I would recommend the company still as he seemed honest and was super responsive and even told us what brands were good ones if we didn't go. I reached out to Catus Climate Pros and another AC company through Facebook, within 5 minutes of each other. First, Catus responded right away and started providing me with basic details about the unit they recommended based on the room size. I sent them some pictures of the inside of the room and outside, this was on a Saturday morning. Based on the information and pictures that I provided, they gave me a verbal estimate. I set up an appointment for them to come over the following Monday afternoon. Austin came over and we walked through the process and the potential location for installing the mini split outside, it happened that I had a perfect little nook for the unit to be placed. Austin gave me a written estimate that was the same price as the verbal estimate. I told them that I was in a hurry to get it installed because that week is when our temperatures were going to go over 115 degrees and this space is my wife's home office. I received a call back from Austin about 30 minutes later letting me know they could install the unit that Wednesday morning. Their crew showed up around 7am and installed the mini split within 4 hours of arriving at our house. They buried the conduct and covered everything up outside, cleaned up behind themselves inside and left everything in great shape. I am a Federal Contracting Officer, and I hire contractors for a living, so I always do a deep dive into any person that I hire to come to our house for any personal work we need done and they passed with no issues or concerns in their backgrounds. I recommend Cactus Climate Pros for any AC needs that you may have, also the mini split is working great my wife had to turn it off the day we hit 117 degrees because she was too cold. I will mention that we have had foam insulation installed in her office walls and done other things in the past to try and get her office to cool down and nothing has worked like this 1-to mini split. As for the other company, as Cactus was finishing up the installation and getting ready to leave, the other company called me to see what I was looking for, I advised them that I had another company install a new mini split. Wow! These folks did a fantastic job on my mini split installation. The communication, professionalism, promptness and job site cleanliness was off the charts good. I inquired through Yelp with the assistance I needed and the majority of companies would not be willing to install a customer-supplied mini split as they either wanted the profit margin of selling the unit to customers themselves (my assumption) or, they did not want to take responsibility for an aspect of the job was out of their control despite me stating that I would take responsibility. Austin (company owner) was willing to help with the completion of the install (electrical portion was already complete). They arrived early but patiently waited in their vehicles until I was available to meet with them. They custom cut the refrigerant lines, performed the final refrigerant line bends and evacuated the system in order to perform a leak check. They then performed an operational test. Austin and Ryan did a wonderful job at a good price. I will be using these guys from now on. Super job! read more

Friday night our AC unit was making a squeaky noise. The AC was still cooling but we feared it was something costly! So we went to YELP and found Austin with Cactus climate pros. We messaged several companies and he responded pretty fast. His diagnostic fee to come out was very reasonable and he was able to come out the very next day! He went up to our roof and tried to find what was making that noise. He couldn't find the noise as it was no longer doing it. Ryan came out today after Ace Home Services was here yesterday to scare the crap out of me. Ryan did a thorough check of our ac outside and in the attic and let us know that our system is running properly. he let us know it is an older system so obviously it could have issues at any time but as of right now it is doing what it should and there is no need to get a new system (Ace Home Services was out the day before and told me we needed an entire new system).
