The vibes were vibing, and the food was delicious. Unfortunately, that's where the positives end. This business seems determined to squeeze every dollar possible out of its customers, often without being transparent about it. We visited during the World Cup festivities and were told ahead of time that it was reservation-only, meaning a table required a minimum purchase of a $350 bottle. Expensive? Absolutely. But at least we knew that going in. When we arrived, however, the staff gave our group completely conflicting information. One employee told us there were no tables available unless we purchased a bottle. Another told us there was a table available and that we were welcome to sit and enjoy ourselves. A member of our party confirmed that we could sit, so we did. Then, as game time approached, they started forcing people who were actively eating and drinking to move because the tables were suddenly "reserved." Fast forward to the end of the night: around 10:00 PM, we were told we had to give up our table because they were transitioning to the "night crowd." If we wanted to keep our table, we would need to purchase ANOTHER bottle. This requirement had never been mentioned before. We were also not even done with our first bottle. Then came the bill. In addition to a large-party fee (we were six), they added a "late-night fee" despite the fact that it was just approaching 10:00 PM. They also charged us for bottled water after we simply asked for drinking water and were never told there would be a charge. The food was good, and the atmosphere was fun, but the lack of transparency and the constant attempts to add unexpected charges left a bad taste in our mouths. It felt like they were looking for every possible way to increase the bill rather than provide an honest customer experience. The food here is surprisingly delicious! The drinks however are not the best in my opinion, lack flavor and seem rushed. The staff was also very weird, I think because we were women. They ignored us completely and would avoid our table, it wasn't just us though I noticed this with another group as well. I Will never visit here again. If u want to sit in the lit up area u have to buy a tower / bucket or bottle to sit there. Once u sit, the server with a stank attitude said " u can't order at the bar because u are ordering from me now this is how I make my tips. If u keep going to the bar u will get kicked out." I left feeling singled out, embarrassed, and discriminated against, and I believe this situation deserves management's immediate attention. While I was seated at a table, Selena approached me directly and told me that we had to get up if we were not purchasing bottle service. What immediately stood out to me was that there were other women seated at the same table who were Mexican, yet I was the person she specifically approached and addressed. When we asked Selena how much bottle service was, she told us it was $1,000. I explained that we had previously been informed that the table was $400, and asked what we needed to do if we wanted to purchase a bottle and remain at the table. Selena directed us to speak with the host. When we spoke with the host, we were given completely different information. The host explained that the table was in fact $400, not $1,000, and that the circular tables closer to the front were $750. This made Selena's statement even more concerning because we were not only singled out, but we were also given inaccurate pricing that could have discouraged us from purchasing bottle service altogether. What made the experience feel discriminatory was the difference in how the rules were being enforced. I do not have an issue with an establishment requiring bottle service for certain tables. If that is the policy, I completely understand. My issue is being selectively approached, told to move, and given a significantly higher price while other guests who were not Black appeared to be treated differently under the same circumstances. I am not making an accusation of racism lightly. I am explaining how the interaction occurred and how I was made to feel based on the treatment I personally witnessed. No paying customer should leave an establishment questioning whether the color of their skin determined the level of respect, information, or treatment they received. I would appreciate management reviewing what occurred, including speaking with the employees who were working and reviewing any available surveillance footage from the area. I would also like clarification regarding your actual bottle-service and table policies, including why Selena quoted us $1,000 when the host confirmed a substantially different price. I am requesting that this complaint be taken seriously and addressed appropriately. I would appreciate a response from management regarding how this situation will be handled and what steps will be taken to ensure customers are treated consistently and respectfully regardless of race or ethnicity. Just moved to the bishop arts and tried a Mexican restaurant/bar named Mas Chingon. Went to see my first soccer game there and the experience was totally awesome! Food was incredible great; the ambiance was fantastic and by far the best service from a young female named Ana!! Definitely going back soon! read more

Our visit to Mas Chingon was a random but happy occurrence. We happened to walk by and the bright colors drew us in. As far as breasterraunts go, this is a fun one. The cocktails are fire and the food portions are large. Parking was easy though we came in the middle of the day. Since the vibe of this place is more geared towards late night entertainment, I imagine it might be trickier at night. Lastly, the service was prompt and hospitable. Our server was so attentive and sweet. Definitely a fun adult spot to check out if in the Dallas area. read more

I got the Birria Noodles. It was a lot of wind passing through on a weather changing set of days in Dallas. I love the music and I've had no issues with the service. My server has checked on me and asked if anything else is needed multiple times. Most important for me is they carry coconut berry redbull to go with my Tito's. I'm happy . I can't speak for others. The service was good and the security team was nice enough to hold onto the knife of one of the people in my party (he works in construction and just had a multitool knife in his pocket out of habit) so he could avoid having to make a return trip to the car. Valet was $20, a little high given that the restaurant was not packed, but the food and drinks were good. We tried the chips with queso, salsa and quac. I had four tacos, two carnitas and two Al pastor and they were good and filling. The margarita I had, strawberry on the rocks, was refreshing and sweet. The waitstaff (women) do dress a little risqué, plenty of glutes and cleavage could be seen so I wouldn't call it a family spot. Be warned. read more

A hipster approach to ojos locos in bishop arts, we arrived at 11 pm on a Thursday, they should definitely implement the use of an "after-hours" menu for both drinks and food as a lot of their menu was unavailable. Apparently the only thing you could order at the time we arrived were tacos, we tried ordering different drinks many of the options on the menu per their QR code weren't available? We settled for La Palma, luckily that was still an option. Drinks take about 20-25 minutes to make it to your table. Overall service & menu availability was terrible. Went last night to this place, there was 3 lines, I waited 40 minutes in line come to find out when I got to the front the manager with the cheap suit was charging everyone in line 20$ to get in even after waiting in line. I've gone to bars where they do the same thing but they don't make you wait in line without coming by to let people know you will be paying. A big no thank you, it's not that serious to get inside a bar where there plenty other more bars, glad i didn't pay to go in there and headed over to the branca room which was 10 times more fun. Who knew the dress of the waitresses were nearly pornographic as the triangles covering the breast area were approximately a 2 inch triangle and the thong covering the private area was even smaller. The entire bottom area was completely exposed. There was no sign on the door, warning of the skimpy clothing nor is there anything in the website to tell you of this either. And yet this is supposed to be a family type restaurant and I can't even begin to tell you how skimpy these ladies were dressed. Sadly, we did not stay to even try the food. The place was crowded. For starters this place needs to be more open about it being a breastaurant, the staff is too worried about their neighborhood friends/bartenders coming in for the midshift shots than actually attending to customers. I went yesterday for the first time to check it out with my mom and we were unsatisfied. Yesterday was apparently taco Tuesday and not once did the server mention or try to make our experience worthy we had to get up and go to the host stand and flag down the waitress all night because she was on her phone the entire night or meeting up for a friendly hangout with the other 4 other servers relaxing by the host stand on their phones and Joking With the security staff. I will say the food was just okay nothing special, I essentially went for a couple of cocktails because I saw people rave on this place online but the margaritas were nothing but simple syrup I had to switch to a high noon to make my night a bit better after wasting my money at this establishment that doesn't care about their guest. It's a shame to have a beautiful place and staff aren't trained to know basic hospitality. This is essentially a playground for the staff to enjoy and pretend to work. read more
