I had high hopes for this spot because crab boils are my thing. It fell flat and quickly.. it started with the waitress, she was unfriendly and just didn't exude any form of customer service. I asked for something extra and instead of responding, she just walked off and later returned with what I asked for. When she walked away I wasn't even sure if she heard me lol. The bathroom was legit disgusting.. there's no way it's been cleaned this week. I should have walked out after seeing how dirty it was. I ordered headless shrimp with garlic noodles, corn, and sausage. I opened the bag and began to chow down only to discover that the shrimp weren't cleaned. You could literally see the veins and they hadn't been split from the back, making it extremely hard to eat. They were also overcooked and chewy. The crabs were dried out , and the shrimp was mushy... and the sauce was wayyyy to creamy. Thanks to Tik Tok, I found this restaurant and I was beyond excited to find out there was a drink and oyster happy hour between 4 to 6pm. After we were seated, it took a little while for a server to come to us. However, one of the bartenders was a server, too, so we understood that she was a little busy. I quickly ordered a dozen raw oysters ($1 a piece) and a $5 margarita. The oysters were beyond delicious, salty, and just the right size. The margarita was perfect and had just the right amount of tequila. Overall, I would definitely return again whenever I'm in Texas, and if in the area, be sure to stop by. read more

Visited this place coming from Houston and was a total disappointment. Should have walked out as soon as the waiter young black kid wearing pink shoes changed the price on the crawfish. Sat down and asked the price per pound and at first he said around $13-14 a pound so I said no that is ridiculously over price. He decided to say he'd give us his discount price for $8 a pound so ordered 5lbs. He bought frozen cooked crawfish that was all mushy with no flavor. Ate maybe 1lb if that and the bill was $145. My wife and myself are staying in deep ellum for a month so while we are here we have been trying different restaurants out and decided on this restaurant. The staff was very friendly and sat us quickly. Being from Louisiana we settled on blackened catfish over rice for my wife and fried catfish and fried shrimp for me. Hers came out with 2 big filets, big enough for 2 people to eat. Mine came with one large fried filet. I blacken catfish all the time at home and they did a pretty good job. Seasoning and flavor was great on both, and the meat seemed to be real channel catfish not the cheaper swai catfish most restaurants used. I asked my waitress if it was local Texas meat or imported, she said that it was imported. The dining area was pretty basic but well kept and clean. Over all we were very glad we gave it a try, I can't speak on the crab or other boiled seafood but it looked like the kind the boil in a bag and bring it out covered in a butter sauce. I'm not a big fan of that method, it looks cheap and is too messy. But if your looked for great catfish they have it down! read more

The Coral Sea sack came with 1 lb crawfish, 1 lb shrimp, 1.25 lb snow crab, 2 corns, potatoes and sausage. It was beyond more than enough for us to share. The seafood was SO FRESHHHHH!! Best cajun experience ever. I have similar businesses in my area, but the quality does not match the freshness of the crawfish here. The crawfish was so fresh peeling it was so much easier with the meat not sticking to the shell and I was able to do the crawfish tail wiggle to pull out its' poop sack. We had such a fun time peeling, sucking and grubbing on our glorious feast. I definitely ate more than my usual capacity since the meal was so enjoyable. My friend and I looked back at this glorious meal and we kept saying wow! The food was so good, glad we didn't walk out! T-Mo really saved our encounter with this restaurant and our overall vacation experience. When I'm traveling I always look out for a good seafood boil establishment, and I was happy to find Crab Station not too far from my Dallas hotel. When I arrived at 5:30-ish the waiter announced we were at the tail end of Happy Hour (oh yeah, I capitalize Happy Hour). In addition to drink discounts, they were also offering 75¢ oysters on the half shell. I gladly ordered up a 1/2 dozen and wine to start the meal (see picture). I then grabbed some wings with Flame Thrower seafood sauce (also pictured) and a boil bag of head-on shrimp and clams in Extra Shazam sauce. While I love spice and heat, I feel my decision to get Extra Shazam on the seafood and Flame Thrower on the wings happened to be an excellent choice. Parking wasn't too challenging, however, you'll most likely need to use one of the paid lots nearby. FYI: FAMILIES bringing their kids during the early afternoon/happy hour window might find the radio station tuned to explicit material. I think with any restaurant right now there was a bit of a wait due to limited capacity but it was certainly worth the wait! Husband got the lobster roll which he absolutely devoured and licked his fingers afterwards. The fries had a strange seasoning so he barely had any and I thought they equally tasted strange (I love fries mind you...) so we barely had any of those. I got the Caribbean seafood bag because they unfortunately sold out of crawfish :( but it ended up being really delicious with the snow crab and I'm glad it worked out! I got the middle spice level which ended up being perfect and not too overpowering. Keep it mind it's the same FLAVOR but with varying spice. The service here isn't the best. Once you're seated and receive your food don't expect much more. I mean people will ask if you need anything but whether you get it and/or how quick you'll get it is the question. What was I thinking getting crawfish out of season. They were so small and bland. I got the Shazam sauce for my crawfish, crab legs and potatoes. When you opened the bag you could see steam coming off the food. Here's the catch... the sauce was hot but when you opened the crab it was cold. Now I see how the food came out so fast. It's almost as if the seafood was done ahead of time and hot sauce was poured over it. The drink was really good and several people around me got fried appetizers that also looked good. We decided to try Crab Station. We seafood gumbo, crab and shrimp boil bag with garlic butter seasoning, calamari, and scampi butter crab claw bites. The gentleman that got the gumbo said it had a great taste and comes in a huge bowl.. enough for 3 people. The calamari was very bland, with overpowering Parmesan cheese. The breading tasted like plain breading on something a traveling carnival would use. The cheese was odd as a topping and way overpowering. It's all we could taste. I would not recommend it. The scampi butter crab claws were good. Our coworker didn't care for them. I thought they had a nice peppery and garlic taste. These are worth trying. The shrimp were good size but had no flavor. All I could taste was the overpowering garlic butter. I tried to keep the snow crab out of the garlic butter and it just didn't have a lot of flavor compared to the places in Phoenix frequent like the Angry Crab in Gilbert. You can taste the salt in the crab meat. Not here. For the price, I just don't think it was worth it unless you possibly go with gumbo read more

No wait to be sat when we came during the week for dinner. Our server was very helpful. He answered all our questions and kept our drinks filled. They did serve crawfish but they ran out by the time we got there unfortunately so I went with crab. It was not what I was expecting but it was very good. I was hoping for more of a Cajun seasoning taste and this was more of a hot pepper flavor with garlic. You can choose the heat level: garlic butter, original, shazam, flame thrower and TKO. Went with flamethrower because I was worried the shazam wouldn't be spicy enough, and boy was it hot! So good though. This sauce had habenero peppers and the TKO is made with ghost peppers. Recently discovered that this spot just opened up nearby! There's barely any seafood-by-the-pound spots in the area so I knew I had to try it out ASAP. I love seafood and I'm glad they opened this up here. Given that this is in Deep Ellum, parking may be difficult to find during the weekends/busy times. However, we went on a Tuesday and easily found street parking. They also have a few parking stalls to the side of the building. Upon entering we were greeted immediately. The space is clean, decently sized and had tables perfect for groups. They have a bar area with TVs all over the walls. The servers were as attentive as they can get and immediately told us of the happy hour specials. Happy Hour is Monday-Friday 12pm-6pm. For drinks we got $5 HH Margaritas, and for starters we had a dozen of the $0.75 HH Oysters on the Half Shell! Such awesome happy hour deals. We also tried half a dozen of the Cajun Garlic Parmesan Oysters ($11) which were to die for; we had to stop ourselves from ordering more so that we can save room for the main course lol. Now for the real star of the show: seafood in a bag. We order Sack #3 ($78) which had 2 snow crab clusters (~1.25 lbs), 4 lb fresh crawfish, 1 lb head-on shrimp, 2 sweet corn on the cob, 2 potatoes and 2 sausages. We decided to add another 2 clusters of snow crab ($25/1.25 lb). We ordered "extra shazam" spice level and it was the perfect amount of kick for us. So excited to see that the sauce had so much garlic in it lol. Without tip, the total was around $150. Tbh I think it's worth it esp if you go during happy hour! For people expecting Louisiana-style crawfish/seafood boil, don't go here. This is more like Viet-Cajun style that is very similar to Boiling Crab. Boiling Crab used to be my fav spot but now I think Crab Station beats them on my list because there is no wait and the sauce is more delicious to me. We will def be back! read more
