Higher end Mexican food and drinks. We tried the guacamole and the elote, both of which were fabulous. We also tried the coconut shrimp taco's which were amazing, super sweet flavor and they came with rice and beans. The margarita flight was the star of the show for me, strawberry, lime and mango. I would certainly get the mango again on its own, in the largest size it comes in. The Birria tacos were amazing as well. I'm not sure you can go wrong here, but be sure to check pricing before heading out as it is certainly on the higher end of pricing for Mexican food in the area. read more

Nice place. Good food. Friendly staff. Good date night spot, to be honest. Easy 4 stars. It's one of the few Mexican restaurants in the area that isn't seriously outdated. First time I went, though, I had to kind of withhold judgement. I saw that they have mahi-mahi tacos. Mahi tacos are freaking amazing, so I ordered them. When they arrived, I saw to my absolute horror that they breaded and fried the mahi... like, Baja style. I can't say that I've ever had fried mahi, and hope I never do again. It's normally served grilled. Lighter fish usually gets breaded and fried. If you haven't ever had mahi tacos, stop what you're doing and go try them... just... uh.... not here. They aren't necessarily bad, just ... wrong. Subsequent visits have been solid. I feel like I could blindly order any non-mahi options and have an enjoyable meal. In particular, I dig the al pastor tacos, but I think overall it's hard to go wrong here. read more

Seven of us came in on a Saturday night (reservations) and had great drinks served quickly after we sat down. The Naked Raspberry margarita was hilarious to order for my grandpa (94 yrs. old) who enjoyed it. (Comes with a rubber duck) Our food came within 15 minutes of ordering. The birria, tiger shrimp and scallops tacos were all excellent. The chimichanga my mom ordered was great she said. The staff are very friendly and food was great. I must start out by saying that I have never had flavorless ceviche or guacamole before, but they accomplished both. The ceviche was literally boiled/cooked seafood chopped up and thrown on top of lettuce leaves. It was so bland, we had to ask for limes to add some sort of flavor. Typically ceviche is "cooked" in the juices of the citrus, but this was a far cry from it. I would recommend calling it shrimp lettuce wraps or something... and the guac was right on the same path, it was just smashed avocados with a pinch of salt and cilantro leaves thrown in. Nothing else, where is the seasoning? We tried a tequila flight for $25.00 and it should have been $10-15. You get three "shots" which consist of a swish, not even a capful of tequila in each shot glass. What a rip-off. If you're going to serve a flight of tequila, at least fill each shot glass half full, even a quarter. That was ridiculous for the cost, and it wasn't even top-shelf tequila. This is meant for the non-experienced drinker/ older generation inhabiting the bar that cannot handle their alcohol and insist on misting their mouths with tequila. We could have purchased an entire bottle or part of a top-shelf tequila for the cost of that flight combined with the drink costs. The margarita flight was much better and represented a tasty and actual flight of alcoholic drinks. The flavors were really good, and you actually got a decent amount on the flight. Probably the better option if you're going for drink flights. Every other drink on the menu of "special" drinks is going to cost you at least $11-13 + for basic options. I mean like mojitos to mules, basic basic basic drinks. I think the prices could come down on these or make them special, just because they are made with tequila instead doesn't make them worth more... We also ordered the Cazuela Mexicana for two, which had some good quality meats but it came out lukewarm, and the beans and rice were completely cold. Super disappointing. The cheese isn't melted into the dish but is served as a cold side along with the sour cream and salsa. Strange, would have been better hot and also with the cheese melted into the dish. Due to the service being super slow with a super busy, understaffed restaurant, we did not send the food back. I would make sure the food you're serving is hot, especially for an expensive entree. Our server was very friendly, but obviously was super frazzled having to service the entire one-half of the restaurant and bar, it appeared. All of our bills were incorrect for the entire table and we opted to fix them after we left with each other, as it took 45 minutes to get our bill. We still tipped 20% however, as our server did try their best. The cooks and bartenders need some improvement it seems or a different menu. There are other authentic places in Fargo/Moorhead to eat at, and this isn't going to be our go-to, unfortunately. read more

The margs are good and on the rocks, can't wait to come back to try them along with tequila flights when I'm not pregnant, my mocktail was delish however and I would order that any day. We started with the guacamole de pepitas, which was nice and refreshing with some crunch. My husband ordered the Birria tacos, so yummy, moist and cheesy. And I the tiger shrimp tacos, which were sweet, crunchy & perfectly cooked. I wish you could ordered one of each taco, but going with a group of people and ordering all kinds would also do the trick! Dang, this place is really good. This is not the same Tex-Mex food that you get everywhere else. Instead, somebody in the kitchen has a vision that's a little unique. The carnitas, chimichangas, fajitas and tacos all have extra fine-dining touches and clever combinations of flavors. The margaritas and mixed drinks are all excellent. We love going for lunch when they serve a few of our favorites that don't always appear on the dinner menu like empanadas and the lunch-sized entrees are a bit less expensive. The prices are roughly in line with other nice restaurants (like the main competition, Plaza Azteca), but a bit more expensive than other Tex-Mex places in the area.
