We both opted for onion soup vs. miso soup. The onion soup was delicious and a nice change from miso soup. The broth seemed less salty and the flavor was light. It was very good. My salad was fresh, cold and crunchy. The dressing was good, but the salad was overdressed. By the time I neared the bottom of the bowl, it looked like lettuce soup. Still... it was quite tasty. We ordered Shrimp Shumai and while they were teeny, they were very good. I recommend! My lunch consisted of four different fish with a total of nine pieces of sashimi - 2 tuna, 3 salmon, 2 escolar and 2 of another fish that was gray in color. The sashimi was a big letdown. None of the fish caused me to lean back and make yummy sounds. The salmon was a bit stringy, if you will. It did not melt in my mouth. The tuna, which is usually my least favorite was actually okay. The gray fish, which were large pieces, were grainy and had little discernible flavor. The escolar was the most flavorful, with a nice mouthfeel. No heat level was offered for the Pad Thai. Mark said it was bland. When I asked how it was and he said, '"okay...", I was not convinced. A big pile of large cut green peppers were left on his plate when he finished.
