Excellent Ramen. Ordered me the classic creamy chicken Ramen which tasted great. Very rich and strong tastes. Wish it was a bit creamer but thats a personal preference. Eveything came in a timely manner and hot. Very attentive staff and great service.
As always, especially when we are away from home, we let Yelp guide us. Today it led us to Fuji Ramen and it was a winner!!! We arrived shortly after they opened on a Tuesday. We were not the first customers and a nice crowd gathered by the time we left around Noon. It's clear Fuji Ramen has a good reputation and it is well deserved. The place is decent sized and has a nice vibe. We were greeted when we walked in the door and our server quickly stopped by to get our drink order. She told us to take our time with the menu. Mark had a question when she returned with our drinks. Her guidance was informative. We ordered Gyoza to start. Mark ordered Spicy Miso Tonkotsu and I got Black Garlic Tonkotsu. The Gyoza was typical and delicious. Mark couldn't stop gushing about the Spicy Miso Tonkotsu. In addition to the broth, the pork and egg were standouts. It was so good he had to pick up the bowl and ensure he got every drop. I was equally enamored with the Black Garlic Tonkotsu. The noodles were done to perfection. The broth was slightly thick and delicious. I agreed with Mark that the pork and egg offered explosions of flavor. We would definitely be regulars at Fuji Ramen if only we lived nearby. Because we have family here, Fuji Ramen will always be on our list any time we visit.
We enjoyed their black garlic tonkatsu and shaggy dog roll (maybe a little too much rice but tasty). However the surprise winner was their fried rice! Lots of onion and doesn't look like the typical fried rice but so good! My husband also gave a thumbs up to the takoyaki (which has good chunks of octopus inside). And the kimchi pancake was like a Korean pizza. Very cheesy and not an overwhelming kimchi flavor. Ambiance was casual but we easily got a nice table that perfectly fit our group of 9 as we celebrated my son's first birthday! We were at GWL for his bday and this is only 5-10 min drive away. Service was friendly, albeit a bit slow at first. Starving kids need to order even if we hadn't fully decided on what to get lol! They were super accommodating for us bringing our own birthday cake and quickly got us utensils and plates. The waiter took a group picture for us and was patient on getting the birthday boy to look and smile!
Don't let the name Fuji Ramen fool you. This restaurant is more than just noodles. It is a small to medium sized restaurant with food that contains giant taste. I love their red curry with chicken. I like spice and their curry is packed with flavor with the perfect amount of spice. If you're not a fan of spice, you may want to avoid this dish. If you love spice, you can ask them to make it hotter. I prefer it as it comes. My better half ordered a Poke Bowl with shrimp. She said the shrimp was cooked perfectly. I stole a bite before she devoured it. I have to admit I really liked it and may forgo my favorite spicy curry next time and order the Poke Bowl. They also have ramen, sushi, kids menu, and other dishes. I haven't tried them all but everything I've had has been very good. Every time I've eaten here, the service has been very good. Obviously, during peak times, things move slower, but still service is very good. Bottom line - Delicious food is a smaller restaurant that is packed with flavor. An easy five stars. Bon appétit, y'all.
The food was delish and the staff were attentive. We had Sapporo Ebi Ramen and Spicy Miso Tonkotsu, spicy wings and gyoza. Everything was fresh and flavorful. Was still talking about it the next day. We will be back.
My husband and I came for a late lunch to try threir Ramen. The place is cozy and clean. We started with some gyozas, really good filling and chewy nice texture of the dough. Then we had the Fuji Mountain Roll, I don't like sweet sauce on my sushi, so it wasn't my fav, but my husband liked it, so no complaints. The staff is very helpful and friendly. We ordered the Spicy Miso Ramen, the broth is thick and so flavorful, very creamy, the pork belly melts in your mouth, and the egg was perfectly cooked, overall this is a great Ramen, if you're around the area don't miss the opportunity to try the tonkotsu style of Fuji.
Food is amazing, we have loved everything we have ordered here. Service is great the servers are kind and attentive. The restaurant itself is well maintained, comfortable and a great place to eat
Still my favorite! Just wanted to share some pictures. I tried the edamame Gyoza this time which is a perfect vegan/vegetarian option or even for those just looking for for a healthier side. Super tasty!

Perfect spot for the rainy cold weather! We went right when they opened at 11am for a rainy day lunch and it did not disappoint! Service was prompt and the food was... AHMAZING!!! We started with the Karaage chicken and it was fried perfection! You must ask for the chili sauce for your whole meal and try not to steal it! The chicken was so juicy and the outside was so crispy... the yum yum sauce was super flavorful and of course the chili sauce was delish! We both ordered the Black garlic spicy ramen and it's was full of flavor and the portion, plentiful!! The broth was delicious and of course I added extra spice with the homemade chilli sauce! Fuji Ramen is a great ramen spot with plenty on the menu for everyone!!

A solid 3.5 stars for my experience at this ramen location but I'll round it up to a 4. There isn't that many ramen spots in the League city area so I'm glad I've found one that's pretty decent. Walking in we were greeted right away by the hostess, our server was a bit standoffish but he was polite & did his job. Here's what we ordered. * Spicy chicken wings- definitely not spicy at all but tasted very good. The wings were a bit small but not baby chick small. They were cooked to perfection & it came out piping hot. It had a nice crunch & the sauce was savory. The combination of the black pepper & garlic butter went well together. The only issue I had with the wings were that it was a bit greasy. 4/5 * Shaggy dog roll- not too shabby. Tasted fresh & I like that they added a hint of wasabi into the sushi. So you get a little heat but not too much. 3.5/5 * Black Garlic Tonkotsu- the Broth had good flavor but a bit heavy handed on the garlic oil. The chashu was not tendered but it did have a good amount of fat in it. I also like that they gave you 3 slices of pork chashu versus your standard two that you get a ramen spots or even 1. The egg was marinated nicely but a little overcooked because it was not gooey. 3/5 * Fuji Tonkotsu- the Broth was very good, it was creamy, smooth & savory. Just a good textbook broth. The chashu was not tendered & the egg was a little overdone. 4/5 Overall, I was quite pleased with my experience. Was it the best? Nah, but it was good enough for me to return next time. The spot was also tidy, small & clean. You guys should give it a try if you're in the League city area, definitely a hidden gem.
Great dinner tonight. I brought three friends who had never been here before. The staff were very friendly and our table was clean. The noise level was low enough we could have a conversation. I got the Gyoza and Creamy Chicken Ramen (spicy). This is such a great place. I've enjoyed it every time I've been. The food is always fresh and full of flavor. read more

Food: 4.5/5 Service: 5/5 Ambiance: 5/5 Overall: 4.7/5 Gyu Ponzu - 4/5 - Not my favorite appetizer here, but I still enjoyed it. I feel like it leans a bit too much on the chili oil taste and struggles to stand on its own as a dish. I enjoyed the cucumber here, since it helps balance the overwhelming flavor, but I do wish there was more and it was cut into thinner pieces. Thai Style Chicken - 5/5 - Always has been my favorite dish here. The chicken is flavorful but not overwhelming. The lettuce helps balance the dish. The peppers add a strong kick if you're feeling spicy. The sauce is perfectly salty whilst not powering over the other elements. No complaints. Birria Ramen - 4.5/5 - Definitely not the choice if you want ramen, and thankfully I was not really craving ramen on this visit. For the standards of this dish, this is a perfectly good example of this dish. The broth is rich and extremely, almost to a fault, flavorful. The ingredients are not natural for a ramen, but they all somehow come together well. Not everyone's cup of tea, for sure, but it definitely was mine this time. read more

Came for dinner with a friend the other night. It had just rained so was a perfect time for ramen. I had the spicy miso ramen with fresh garlic and they had the creamy chicken ramen. We both enjoyed our meals and service was quick and good. read more

Been here a couple times and have ordered to go as well. Their ramen is so good! I would recommend any one of their tonkotsus' and if you're eating in, definitely try their karaage chicken ramen! Their sushi was also very good, we had the shaggy dog roll and Fuji ninja roll. Fuji ninja roll is definitely My favorite right now because the jalapeño provides a delicious refreshing crunch! Service is always great and staff is also quick to offer recommendations. Their restaurant is super clean and great for a local date night. read more

Fuji Ramen have excellent ramen bowls and rice dishes. My big brother and his wife would love their sushi selection. The prices are good and the inside décor is Asian inspired, mixed with a modern style. The staff are wonderful, and they always refill your drinks. Fuji Ramen also have salads, Pho bowls, chicken wings, Bimibap, Chashu Sando (Asian inspired sandwich) and a great selection of appetizers. There is a kids menu, and for those of you who drink (not me), Fuji Ramen have a decent selection of alcoholic drinks. I tried the Karrage Chicken Ramen. It was delicious, but the chicken wasn't cut well. The pieces were tough and had too much cartilage. Fuji Ramen only offers fried rice, there's no steamed rice or brown rice. Next time, I'm bringing my big brother and sister-law to Fuji Ramen with me. There are more dishes I have to try! read more

I'm at the point to where I can update my critique for the establishment from more than a year ago with more flattering words. Three stars have now become five. Allow me to take accountability for the fact when I first tried this place out, I didn't order the restaurant's main specialty, which is obviously ramen. I had a bland chicken entrée that I swore at the time I'll never touch again. But last night, I was in the mood for soup since it was unseasonably cold. That's how I decided to give Fuji another try. People, you have to try the pork tonkotsu ramen in all its spicy, aromatic glory. I was enamored by how the tasty broth infused the ingredients, especially the fatty chashu, the Japanese equivalent of the Chinese char siu. And yes, I had fun slurping the noodles. As I'm typing this, the thought of trying the other types of ramen has crossed my mind. Sure, the weather may be warming up, but I just can't say no to my appetite. read more

Defiantly the best Ramen here. The black Garlic Ramen is always a good choice. People are kind and is highly recommended for Ramen. I haven't tried anything else. Miso or black garlic. You won't be disappointed! read more
This place is such a nice surprise in League City. Good sized restaurant with amazing service. Our server was always on top of checking on us to see if we needed anything. We ordered the bang bang shrimp which was a bit saucy but had a large hearty shrimp on the inside. I got the chicken karaage ramen which is my favorite at Jinya. The broth was great and the chicken karaage was smoky and well seasoned. It kept its crispness despite being in the broth which was a key comparison for me. Overall great experience and happy to know we have a nearby ramen shop now! read more
Now that I've had ramen at numerous different spots, this one in Texas seems to have been some of THE BEST! They know how to do right in TX. Big bowls, lots of noodles, and vegetables are abundant! Broth is flavorful and it's done right. I will definitely come back to this one to get the chicken ramen if I'm in the same area next time, SO GOOD! read more
Satisfying meal but I've had better ramen. The pork broth lacks flavor. The new menu item with shrimp was a bad choice. I should have stuck with black garlic. Service was great. He even offered to make me a new ramen after I ate half already. It wasn't bad, I'd come back and try a different one. I like that they have a couple options for kids. The last time I went to this place, it was pretty good, so my dad wanted to go again. Our server was super nice and gave recommendations. In addition, we were on the fence about order the Cheesy Kimchi Pancake, but our waiter said not to because it wasn't that good. I will always appreciate honesty from waiters, and we're glad we saved $11! The restaurant was pretty busy, the food came out fast, the servers were really friendly, and I'll be coming here again! The Karaage Chicken was crispy and juicy, but I think the chicken pieces could be smaller since it was hard to eat. The takoyaki was soft on the inside, crispy on the outside, but the octopus needed to be cooked longer since it was a little chewy. The Fuji Mazemen Udon with shrimp was really good, our server recommended it to me. It wasn't something I've ever tasted before. The creamy roasted sesame sauce went well with all the plentiful toppings, but I wish there was a note of acid in the dish. However, it tasted good and the udon was cooked perfectly. I would recommend this over most of their ramens. read more

Our family had a great meal tonight at Fuji Ramen. We enjoyed the Karaage Chicken starter. Crispy on the outside but moist interior. The accompanying sauce was good too. Our son enjoyed the Volcano Roll for his meal. Great presentation. My wife and I both had the Spicy Miso Ramen. 5/5 Great flavor, ingredients, portions. Our server, Cecilia was very attentive and made sure we enjoyed our meal. Other wait staff also checked in on us. I highly recommend you check them out. We will be back for sure. read more

Why 5 stars? Because this ramen is as good as it gets. --- --- --- When I was growing up here, there was definitely not the kind of local business food scene that we have today. Fuji Ramen is exhibit A. I went a little crazy on a Friendswood area food tour while visiting family recently. Fuji Ramen was my favorite (of many) restaurants I tried during these few days. I've always felt like ramen is not really something to eat in to-go form, but we really did not have a choice given our circumstances on this particular day. My Mom was out and picked this up on her way home. Everything about the tonkotsu ramen was perfect. The noodles, the flavor of the broth, the delicious pork. It was among the best I've ever had. I also couldn't help but order a couple of other things: the cheesy kimchi pancake was also awesome. I could have eaten a whole serving by myself, not because it was small, but because it was so tasty that I didn't want to stop. The only miss for me was the Shaggy Dog roll. I wouldn't order sushi again on my next visit but that's okay because this is not a sushi restaurant. It's a restaurant that just happens to serve sushi. I will absolutely come here again next time I'm visiting family. read more

I've been wanting to try this ramen spot since there are few ramen places in this area so I'm glad I finally stopped by! We went on a Friday night and the restaurant was at about 75% capacity so we didn't have to wait to be seated. The Rocky Shrimp tasted like the classic bang bang shrimp. The shrimp size was actually bigger than expected, had a good taste to it and the texture was good and not over cooked. I also liked that it was on a bed of spinach to lighten the dish and make you feel less guilty. I got the Black Garlic Tonkotsu. I was hoping for more flavor but the broth was just average. I also wished they had ramen seasoning sauce instead of plain soy sauce to add flavor/saltiness. I was also disappointed that they didn't have their own red pepper paste. The one they gave me upon request tasted just like sriracha and when I turned around to look at one of their shelves, I found out I was correct. There was a line up of sriracha bottles. I personally would never add sriracha to ramen since that would completely change the flavor. My fiancé ordered the Karaage Chicken Ramen. The chicken was pretty flavorful but the broth was lacking. read more
