Roti Chai is an absolute gem. Came in tonight, a short distance to the play in Regent Park. We had a much needed reservation, received a window seat and set out to order. We were upstairs, where there is a street food type menu. The chicken lollipops are exceptionally done. In fact this remains my all time favorite Indian restaurant.

Indian street food restaurant and their portion is great. You can order appetizers like lollipop chicken to share. It comes with mint dip and it was very good. We ordered lamb curry with naan bread and it was flavorful. It gets very busy at night, recommend to go early!

This place was incredible!!! I cannot recommend it enough. The food was undeniably our favorite meal during our trip to London. Everything had so much flavor and each dish was better than the last. The service was quick and very kind. The waiter had many recommendations for us and was very pleasant to talk to. As were the hostesses. Everyone was very attentive. A manager even came and asked us how our meal was and questioned if we have any suggestions for them to improve on, to which we of course said no and that everything was perfect; The inside is clean and beautiful, as well as the bathrooms. Very good atmosphere with lovely decor. If I was a local, this is where I would take all my guests. 10/10 would recommend. ((I don't really write recommendations, but this place was so good, I had to))

Did an early dinner and had no issue getting seated. Strong food menu; everything we ordered was verygood. We opted for the more formal downstairs dining area, which had a nice vibe. Upstairs is Indian street food style and a completely different menu. Cocktails were very good too. Knocked a star off because the toilet area was not clean and our server wasn't familiar with the menu items.

Came here today as my last stop before heading to Heathrow. I hadn't managed my time so well and only had about 30 minutes for lunch. Luckily, I visited during Ramadan and they weren't as busy as normal. I was seated right away and got the Samosa Chaat and the Jackfruit Biryani. Both were delicious... especially when you add a little bit of the yogurt and chutney from the chaat to the biryani. Shout out to the kind hostess and the waitress who made sure the kitchen got my order out quickly. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting London or local to the Marble Arch area.

Roti Chai is located on Portman Mew S and near Portman St in Marylebone, London. We found Roti Chai highly rated in Yelp and we would like to check it out. We came here for dinner and they're not busy at all. The hostess asked us would like to try street kitchen or dinning room. We hesitated the different and checked the menu pretty the same dishes. We prefered to have Indian Tapas and we could ordered a bit more. Garlic Naan - it's fresh made, soft and fluffy. Vegetable Samosa - it's good but not great. Macher Jhol - fish curry just ok and not flavourful. Railway Lamb Curry - it's medicore and curry wasn't rich. Overall, lacking food presentation and not authentic dish but the service was excellent.

We started with some yummy cocktails and the okra fries which were delicious - if only okra always tasted this good. For mains, we shared the chicken tikka, black daal, paneer and garlic naan. Pretty standard Indian order. The chicken tikka was just too spicy and we weren't used to that so it went mainly eaten. My favorite was the black daal but again, it wasn't so amazing that I would go and have it again. Honestly the best dish we had was dessert - the basmati kheer is a perfect rice pudding with crème brûlée like topping. So good. Service was spotty, I constantly found myself trying to find our server or make eye contact with him. They were slammed on a Tuesday night (which I'm sure is the case every night) so that's probably just the way things are but it could've been better. Disappointed but willing to try again, also made me want to try some other Indian spots in London next.

We had a private downstairs room that felt very classic London--cozy, intimate, and with ceilings low enough that the "watch your step/head" warning is definitely real. For me, Gymkhana absolutely lived up to the hype. Although they offer a set lunch menu, I went à la carte to try exactly what I wanted: Chicken Butter Masala, an Indian Onion & Green Chilli Salad, and Garlic Naan (which I appreciated they offer in single pieces). For drinks, I started with their signature Masala Margarita, paired the meal with a Salty Masala Lassi, and finished with a Masala Chai. It was more food than I usually eat, but it was too good not to finish. Every dish was outstanding--bold, layered flavors with distinct character. It really highlighted how exceptional Indian cuisine can be. The drinks had creative twists and complemented the food beautifully. Service was warm, attentive, and efficient without ever feeling formal or rushed. I could tell the staff would gladly accommodate special requests if needed. It was all very deserving of its two Michelin stars. Total bill: GBP 94 including drinks, service, etc. One tip for first-time visitors: go easy on the rice and bread. The other dishes are far too good to fill up on carbs.

I also decided to get the chicken ruby curry, which seemed to be very popular across all the review platforms. It was.... OK. lol. Overall, none of the food here is bad. It's just I think this establishment gets so much hype for what it is. This location is particularly historic as it was built on a trade spot between Indians and the British; the place maintains most of the architecture from more than 100 years ago. Service here is pretty good too. We walked in on a Sunday afternoon and were able to get high table seatings.

They had the perfect amount of grill flavor and were very saucy and well seasoned. There was no classy way to eat them--they were that good. For our entrées, we ordered the goat shoulder and the half rack of lamb chops. The half rack is more than enough for one person, especially with naan and rice. The reviewers were not lying when they said you must try the lamb chops. They came out sizzling, and we laughed because it took us back to dining at Chili's (iykyk). Perfectly seasoned and incredibly tender. The same goes for the goat shoulder. This was my first time trying it, and I was very impressed with how good it tasted.
