Went here with a mixed group of adults and kids (3 families). Staff were very nice and helpful in explaining how it works (sort of like an Asian rice bowl version of chipotle). I am pretty basic so I went for white rice, sesame ginger sauce, broccoli and carrots, chicken, etc, but you can also do wraps or get noodles. I thought their pricing was relatively cheap and a good value, considering that they had lots of options for you to add to your bowl, and I thought it tasted great. Korean chipotle was how the server described it. Built my own bowl with noodles and pork. The noodles by itself wet flavorful and had a taste of sesame oil. Not too many veggies in the noodles. I chose the pork over the chicken (they let me taste a piece). The pork was a blast of flavors in my mouth. The meat could have been softer but I'd definitely get it again. The spice was nice and flavors great. Don't get too many add ins as you will lose the flavor of the pork. I chose the kimchi, which wasn't that great. Got the spicy sauces(they have hot and cold). I love "fast service" restaurants that employ the Chipotle-style business model of providing high quality food for a fair price and quickly. I also love pretty much any food from the continent of Asia. Enter Mashiso. If you're lucky enough to live near this North Olmsted haunt, then do your self a favor: next time you make a Great Northern Target run stop next door and treat yourself to their unique menu. You won't be disappointed. I highly suggest the Korean beef whichever way you want it (noodle or rice bowl, burrito style, salad, or quesadilla style) or the curry chicken. My kids love Mashiso so I visit when they get a craving. Mashiso is an Asian version of Chipotle. My kids like to customize their rolls(wraps) bowls rice or salad which can be based on noodles, rice or lettuce. They have good descriptions of the sauces and toppings and are always willing to allow you to sample a sauce if you aren't sure. The employees at the counter are helpful and knowledgeable. My favorite are the Yaki's crispy deep fried chicken and veggie wrapped wontons. Definitely worth a visit for something different and healthier when you are in the mood ave they never seem busy when I go in so wait times far better than many places in the area. read more

Went on the afternoon on a Saturday, there was no crowd, plenty of seating. PROS: -Very friendly staff. The server was helpful in letting us try the different flavors and explaining which combinations were popular. -restaurant was very clean -we had an order of yaki (fried dumplings I guess?), 2 bowls, one with white rice and one with fried rice, both topped with chicken, we tried both kinds available. Both were really good, I enjoyed the flavorful chicken and the sauces they were topped with. The rice was not too chewy. -nice variety of proteins, toppings, and sauces. - prices are reasonable -ample parking and seating areas - good variety of drinks from fountain soft drinks, iced teas, and lemonades. CONS: - my only complaint was the yaki, they fried them fresh but they did not drain them properly, so they were super greasy, with a pool of grease at the bottom of the tray. the wonton wrapper wasn't actually fried all the way so it wasn't crisp, just undercooked and greasy. Which is too bad because the filling was actually good. If these had been fried properly this would have been a 5 star review. I will definitely come back here for lunch soon, and I'm interested in trying some of their other combinations. I've heard it's like an Asian Chipotle, which is true, and I'm tired of Chipotle, so this place is a nice change of flavor. read more

Can I order a salad, but get some fried rice with it? YES. Can I get more than one hot and cold sauce, in little plastic containers? YES. Can get some of this, and a little bit of that? Can I try that on top? Can I get a little extra of that? YES, YES and you guessed it, YES. It is rare to find a place so eager to share all the delicious foods they are cooking. Included two small side items and a drink for about $13. Overall pricing high for the area and this type of food choice. Found there were about 3 staff working, about 3 customers in the business and service was SLOOWWW. Staff courteous but not friendly, didn't seem motivated, to greet or waive off departing patrons. Today we ordered delivery for an event at work with 30+ attendees. The food arrived on-time, accurate and was super hot and fresh! The noodles and rice are flavorful and not mushy (A nice surprise as sometimes when things are in metal pans for delivery they gum up). The veggies were perfectly steamed with just enough bite and their Bok Choy is highly addictive! We had chicken, steak and pork all perfectly cooked and they brought plenty of utensils, bowls, sauces and were super generous with condiments (Shredded raw carrots, diced cucumbers, green onions, jalapenos, super tasty kimchi that tasted fresh made not store bought, warm and cold sauces and topping sauces).
