I never leave comments on a restaurant experience I've had. Frankly, we avoid going out due to the poor quality, high prices and poor customer service. However, tonight, I stopped by Mashita and picked up a chicken yakisoba. It was excellent! Nicely cooked with grill marks, hot, great flavor. Great customer service. Nice job Mashita folks. Omg ewwww. I've lived in the area for years and finally decided to try this place. The floor is FILTHY. I know that dumps can have the best food so I ordered the beef teriyaki plate. After I ordered and paid and got my soda cup, I noticed the dead bugs and dirt in the corner by the soda machine. Eww again. They should rename it to beef teriYUCKY. Whew, it was so salty it was inedible! Given the cleanliness and food quality, I wont be back. I wanted to like this place, but I just can't do it. read more

The food here is delicious! They give great sized portions and the food is reasonably priced. We will definitely be back. The only negative is that the floor is a tile floor and the grout is really dirty. But the tables chairs and all the condiment containers have been wiped down thoroughly and are clean. read more

First time eating out here and I gotta say delicious food and -great- customer service!

I've been coming here for close to 15 years, it's such a great hidden gem. The ownership is friendly, the portions are good sized, and the food is good. The price is very good for the amount of food you get, and it comes out pretty quickly. When I want teriyaki, this is my go to spot, and I love the fact that I can get in and out pretty quickly. Fair warning, they get really busy during lunch hour, so I typically try to aim closer to the period between lunch and dinner. read more

Love love love Mashita Teriyaki in King City! I had been looking for a great/affordable teriyaki place since moving to OR. Mashita Teriyaki reminds me of Yoshinoya or Waba Grill. I usually get the chicken teriyaki with brown rice ($1 +) or no rice and extra veggies. The chicken is not fatty or over dressed in teriyaki sauce. A tasty and somewhat healthy meal when you want something fancier than meal prepped baked chicken and rice. Just wish this place was closer to me, as I am never in King City. read more

The food is decent, inexpensive and quick. The place itself isn't anything special so I usually get to go. It would be nice to see them have biodegradable straws and containers for to go but it seems the suburbs are slow on changes like this. read more

My husband suggested this place after going to their old location in nw Portland. We were looking for a quick lunch and one of the locations is in King City. Parking is kind of confusing as they share a parking lot with a bank. None if the spaces are okay to park in near the entrance but, my husband dropped me off and found parking nearish by. I was able to order very quickly. Their menu as seen in the picture is very easy to read and navigate. My husband got the yakisoba and I got the spicy chicken plate. Both were very good. I ate all of mine. My husband usually gets the teriyaki lunch special but tried something different. He likes his usual better. They do have a bathroom and it is clean. read more

Surprised that this clean bright little place hasn't been Yelped about - I popped in on a Saturday at lunch and there were a handful of people happily eating. I was a bit worried 'cause so many teriyaki joints are just so-so, but this was a good one. It is not easy to find as it is kinda hidden behind & next to a US Bank at one end of the parking lot of a rundown strip mall thingy that has a Grocery Outlet in it. I ordered 2 specials - Chicken teriyaki with rice, veg and a small spring roll & a small soda for 5.,95!!! They were generous with the chicken and it was well grilled and made from good meat. I also ordered a spicy Chicken with no rice, only veg and it was super - I thought they were going to just put some extra cabbage on the side instead of rice, but they actually stir fried LOTS of extra veg in with the Chicken. All around $20 bill for the whole deal. Will definitely be back for a quick bite when I am running around on 99W near King City. read more

Walked in. Walked right out. Place is filthy and disgusting. You couldn't pay me to try their food! Floors are nasty, the menus are sticky with grease. They may have decent food but I would never know because if I'm eating in I expect a clean place to eat. read more

The good: For the most part, I love their Hot and Spicy Chicken, although the cook messes it up on occasion. The bad: The bathroom can be iffy. There are some plumbing issues with the toilet, which have been mostly resolved as of 7/17. It still drains very slowly and I'd be hesitant to use if for more than #1. read more

A must for every person with teriyaki-craving taste buds. The King City location of Mashita Teriyaki is accessible, enjoyable and delectable (had to stick with the rhyme!). The place is clean, first and foremost. It has its peak hours when things get busy, but even then the wait and cleanliness are maintained well. Hint: go between 6 and closing for a low-key, crowd-free experience. The food is delicious. Cooked well plentiful, the varying dishes are all good. It's hard to choose, but I tend to bounce between Veggiesoba and Chicken Teriyaki. Everything is worth eating though. Also, the staff are nice. It is always pleasant to see them, order and enjoy the atmosphere they establish. Mashita Teriyaki is great. Best teriyaki in the area. A staple of my diet, anyway. read more

I'm a picky eater and the egg rolls were awesome! Found out she makes them by hand every morning! The chicken was very good and not too fatty. Came with rice and veggie. This is not Japanese teriyaki chicken. Absolutely not. The Japanese do not cook rice like I received. The rice looks like it was in the fridge overnight. The chicken tastes like a horrible attempt at teriyaki that evolved into a barbecue failure. Japanese veggies are crisp and tasty, not like they were reheated overnight leftovers. The 'egg rolls'? Ha! I've been to this restaurant when it was Japanese, and it was excellent food, which looked and tasted like Japanese. The staff here need to learn or brush up on how the Japanese cook. Extremely dirty and dingy inside. Had a very questionable smell of garbage and/or rotting food that permeated the entire space. 95 degrees outside and no air conditioning or fans to keep the air moving. Quite possibly the best teriyaki bento I have ever had in my 41 years. Mashita is consistent and consistently great. There isn't a bad thing on the menu and the portions are very generous. I was a Mashita virgin as of a week or so ago and since then we have gone four times in ten days. It's that good. So good that you will get a craving that must be satisfied. My favorite dish is chicken teriyaki over brown rice ($1 extra) with pot stickers. The pot stickers are small but cooked perfectly with the perfect sauce on the side. This dish comes with two chicken breasts and veggies (primarily cabbage with a little broccoli thrown in). They are closed Sundays and it gets hot inside the restaurant if it's hot outside. I don't think they have AC and if they do nobody told them how to work it. I don't care if it's 100 degrees in there, the food is worth every last drip of sweat, especially if you are coming straight from the gym. read more

This is our go to Teriyaki place. Food is consistent and feels a bit healthier than typical "fast food." My kids love the chicken yakisoba and I typically order the "Shrimps and Chicken," when craving some shrimp tempura! Good value for the price.
