On 12/31/2025 our family placed an online order before 5:00 pm via the website for the establishment. Our credit card approved our order, order was paid in full, and submitted. We then went to the Sherwood restaurant location; after our receipt of confirmation our online order was submitted and paid for to retrieve our order. We were simply told our order was cancelled that they did not take any online orders after 4:30 pm. No prior information had been offered to the user of their online ordering feature via their website. Additionally, a lady who arrived at the same time as us, who had placed an order for pick up via Door Dash was also told that they had cancelled her order placed. Disappointed in the lack of customer service displayed to both us as well as the customer who was in the lobby with us. Disappointed in the poor management of the company's website and socials regarding their need/decision to simply cancel to go orders without any explanation nor accommodation. Both our party and the woman previously mentioned left empty handed. Simply, we were told we would receive a reverse of any charges made. The other female customer was told to bring up the cancellation of her order with Door Dash directly. This restaurant is not new. The current location of which and where they operate from is relatively new. This restaurant is no longer worth our time and other resources. A simple explanation to what or why a refusal to fulfill our order, a simple apology for any inconvenience and or lack of communication via their website would have gone a ways. Not at all the approach the management took in this instance. We will no longer give our time, attention, or dollars to this establishment when considering restaurants in our area. Oh my goodness what an incredible night!! We went into their new location for my brother in laws birthday and it was the best sushi we've had in a long time. The space is so much bigger and very cozy lighting. A few of us are gluten free and I am pregnant and they were so accommodating!! We had Lynn, and she was so wonderful. I've been craving ginger and wasabi and she even sent me home with some extra. The fish was so fresh, the sushi rice was perfectly seasoned. We got the avocado roll, Volcano, Golden California, Spicy cream cheese, Inari, seared salmon, squid, octopusc chicken Karaage, Fried Gyoza, and the pork belly miso ramen. It was all incredible. First visit in the new location. Didn't love it. The sushi is nothing special. OK, but underwhelming. Fake crab is in a huge number of the rolls. Though the place was nearly empty the service was slow and disinterested. Oddly, they ration the soy sauce rather than just leaving it on the table. Odd but not the end of the world. However, if you need more and have to wait 10 minutes for a server to look your way, it becomes annoying. The venue is a little sterile and weirdly set up. There is a service bar to the right when you walk in and a lot of the seating looks in at it from the side. Messy bar isn't ambiance. Made me miss the other sushi place in town. We waited at the front desk for nearly 20 minutes. During that time, the staff walked past us multiple times and even made eye contact, yet there was no acknowledgment at all--no greeting, no smile, and no information about how long the wait would be. What made the experience worse was that when other guests arrived later, the staff didn't seem to remember the waiting order and actually asked who had arrived first. Not really a big fan. At first I was kind of taken aback by the prices. It's possible I just haven't been out to sushi in a while but they seemed a little high. The stuff is definitely attractive. I give them points for presentation. Pretty good rice to filling ratio. Seasoning on rice was ok. Little light but better too light than too heavy. I guess my main complaint was some of the crab salad rolls tasted fishy. I'm not sure what constitutes real crab but it didn't not live up to expectations either. The tempura roll was my favorite. Tldr: Ok sushi, probably won't be back. Came in for lunch on a Saturday, just before 2pm. Definitely catching the end of the lunch rush. The place was packed when we first got there but by the time our meal was over, there was only one other couple in the restaurant. The service was... lacking. It seemed like there was only one server for the whole place. All of our food came out at different times. The first person at our table finished their food before 3 people at our table even got their food. The server didn't check on us nearly enough. Due to their rule of not being able to leave the soy sauce at the table, we were constantly running out. The teriyaki chicken the one kid in the group ordered had really good flavor. I loved the option for fresh wasabi! It was a nice treat. The sushi rolls were just ok. If they were cheaper, I may have thought the value would be more comparable. The sashimi tasted like it wasn't fresh. The high top chairs were so uncomfortable, no back support whatsoever. The ambiance was nice in the restaurant but the restroom was not clean. Newer place with some pretty great sushi. Had the Vegas Roll, Kiss of Fire, and Oregon Roll. My friend had the Nigiri and Sashimi Combo (Chef Choice). Started with some gyoza and a bottle of sake with a couple of Sapporo beers. The food was great and made fresh in front of us at the bar. Great portions, and all the fish was super amazing. Food: Had the Tonkotsu Ramen and it was not the best ramen I've had. The broth was a little bland and boring. The noodles were bland and the toppings didn't quite match with the broth. The best part by far was the pork belly. It was grilled and thick and tasted amazing. Also tried the bento box with tofu. The tofu could have been seasoned a little better and more sauce but it wasn't bad. Also came with a sushi roll, rice bowl, salad, gyoza, and a friend shrimp. We've been here many times now since they opened, and absolutely love their sushi! We live really close so I was able to get takeout frequently during the closures and that was such a great option. The atmosphere is streamlined and clean, service is always friendly and the food always tastes fresh - we've enjoyed pretty much every item that we've tried. I'm so happy we can dine indoors again now! They always remember us and make us feel welcomed. Our top favorites: pork egg rolls, baked salmon roll (my personal fave), dragon roll, sugar daddy roll, fire roll, Las Vegas roll, and kiss of fire roll. Staff have always been very helpful in addressing allergies and willing to modify rolls as needed. This is our go-to spot for sushi. They also have an online ordering system that is easy to use. When the weather is nice they have a few tables of outdoor seating as well. Prices are reasonable and in line with quality, fresh sushi. read more

We have been coming here for the past five years and usually have a good experience. Unfortunately the last few times we have been at Komo we have had increasingly bad experiences with the worst happening recently. We had family in town and went to Komo early for a nice dinner. We ordered a lot of sushi, appetizers, drinks and a chicken entree. The service was incredibly slow and our early dinner (5:30) turned into a two and a half hour ordeal with half of our party leaving before dinner was over. We ended up asking for our last few rolls 'to go' only to get home without chopsticks, soy sauce, or any wasabi. Additionally our rolls were falling apart before we even made it home. Needless to say this was a very embarrassing experience to have while trying to entertain guests. The staff were incredibly unapologetic when we asked why it took so long to get our food. Was not expecting to find this restaurant in the strip mall it's located at, but its a little gem. Sushi has always been my father and I's go-to for lunch or dinner options and due to covid it was long overdue. KOMO is one of the few sushi places open for dine-in, so we thought it would be worth checking out - and I can now tell you that it is! The interior is very nicely put together and very clean. All of the staff had face coverings and they have hand sanitizer on the in-between tables. They're very deliberate about putting on gloves to deal with collecting dishes and used menus, as well as dealing with our check/card. The sushi tasted amazing. We got a few of their nigiri options (yellow tail and King salmon special) and a few rolls (salmon roll and ocean roll). We ended up ordering a second round of the nigiri because the fish was phenomenal. The yellowtail was so tender and the king salmon was like eating butter, seriously one of the best pieces of fish I've had. All of the fish tested fresh and the rice was seasoned perfectly to match. This location is a halfway between my school and his work, so we've already made plans to keep this our usual sushi go-to! Definitely worth checking out :) read more
