    Empanadas and potatas bravas
    Liz P.

We wanted a quick lunch after our Rabbit Hole tour across the street and I suggested this place. I was a bit bummed that the taco and hot dog places were still closed that day (it was around 11am) but we got food from the tapas place instead: -Patatas bravas - good but not spicy like the description says. -Empanadas - delicious. We ordered one order of chicken and one of beef and I think both were beef, but I didn't much care bc they were so tasty. -Cuban sandwich - just okay, but the fries were good and it was a big portion. That was a special just for that day I believe. They do have free water (wish I had known that before buying a Smartwater but oh well) and lots of places for kids to play or hang out, too. The pizza place had a pickle pizza that looked good and I would maybe try that next time, although the empanadas were fabulous.

We stopped in here for Sunday lunch at Cold Smoke Bagels and hot drinks from Wiltshire Pantry. The venue has several (at least 6) ground level food options in addition to these, including Red Top hotdogs, Mable's Southern Kitchen, and a full bar. Signs for Ramiro's Cantina advertised "coming soon" next to Red Top. The venue is large, clean, modern, and comfortable. There are multiple seating areas with cafe tables and chairs in configurations of 2 to 8 seating, bar stools at the main entrance bar, several cozy upholstered couches and chairs, and an area with stadium style step seating facing toward a large screen projector wall. Noise level is mild to moderate as patrons began rolling in. Overhead music added to the noise level and the venue has sealed concrete floors and high ceilings. We sat near the ping pong table and enjoyed watching multiple players have a round or two and a variety of ages having fun. There is also a separate play area with stacking blocks for the little ones. We saw an enclosed area off of the main dining area that looked ready for private events. Free street parking on nearby streets is available as well as QR code parking lots across the street. Building is easily accessible. Looking forward to return visits to try other dining options and hang out with friends.

Mashup Food Hall is such a neat place. Met a friend for lunch and just wanted to try something different. I was impressed by the cool factor the minute I walked in. There are big bay windows with seats and a counter where you can eat right in the window looking out onto the bustling downtown streets. There are multiple restaurants within the space, each having its own vibe. Also a nice bar in the center. You can choose from a bakery, a juice bar, Mexican, soul food, a bagel place, a burger and hot dog place, soup and sandwiches.. I'm sure I'm missing something. There are self serve water stations placed all around and most of the restaurants also serve drinks. Or you can get a drink from the bar. My friend and I had a hard time deciding with so many options, but we chose Mabel's and we both ordered the meatloaf sandwich and spicy potato salad. The meatloaf sandwich was served on thick bread. It was tasty and a generously thick slice. The potato salad was really good. I didn't notice the spice but it was full of flavor. Tangy and creamy. I thought the prices were fair. Walking around the space, we were delighted with the unusual and neat things to see.. there were areas made like a living room space with sofa and coffee table, there was ping pong table, recessed seating like a little cubby to hide in and even what looked like a partially hidden area with a big mat to lay on.. maybe that was a kids area? There was even an auditorium area where they were playing a movie on the wall. Really fun atmosphere. We can't wait to return.

I visited on a Thursday for a networking event. This is a fantastic, huge space for larger groups to be able to spread out and mingle. The steps area, complete with bean bags, was a perfect place to address a group. There are beverage and food options for all. Their strawberry daiquiri was beautiful and so refreshing! Every Thursday they have trivia. Wednesday nights they have half price bottles of wine. It's really exciting to have another food hall in Louisville and especially in Nulu!

Great location in/near Nulu. I like this place had a bunch of different types of sitting spaces. There are hi-top tables, regular tables, sofa area and a stadium seating to watch sports etc. There are several food venders inside and we are at Reg Top....LOVE their hot dogs! There is also a bar when you walk it and had a really great glass of wine. The front has large garage door that open up....when ever Spring arrives, I think it would be a cool place to hang out, eat and drink. Plus there's wi-fi. Service was great!

Fantastic space for one and all! Lovely bar. Lots of stall restaurants serving everything from breakfast to lunch to dinner to desserts. Seating areas. Tables for eating. Co-working space. This will be a continually evolving space. Great for the neighborhood!

Wonton noodle soup: broth was a chicken broth that tasted super homemade, and might have been the best part of the meal. Wontons were okay, noodles were average premade. It all balances out.

When I first saw the Thai milk tea, I thought it looked pale compared to the distinct orange colour most Thai tea has, and I worried it would be weak, but it was actually a nice milk tea with a subtle Thai-style spice, and the boba were supremely good. The guy who takes orders comes off as very unfriendly. I am used to no-nonsense Cantonese service and I don't think that's what this is; it feels like he doesn't want you to order. The first time I tried to order here I kind of got intimidated out of it because he told me it would be a 20 minute wait for food as I was just opening my mouth to order and the way it was delivered, I thought that was his way of telling me to go away. There was no 20-minute wait this time (I guess they were less busy) but it was the same vibe. I do intend to eat here again and look forward to it, I'm just not setting high expectations for the service.

The vendors that come are diverse and great to shop, although I can't remember the last time I made a purchase. Due to a smaller number of vendors, today's excursion was short - maybe 30 minutes. Thankfully it was set up in the lot of a local brewery so we grabbed a beer and lingered there. If you're pointed in the direction of The Flea, definitely pull over and browse; however, I can't recommend it as the destination or reason for your outing.

I partook of the Flea Off Market most recently at its annual indoor holiday bazaar, this year held at Mellwood Art Center. This included a couple of food trucks plus vendors set up throughout the two outside buildings at the art center. I also appreciate how well the Flea sets the mood for their markets, with DJs in each building and a bar where you can buy drinks. The Flea has always been more of an experience, where it's fun to shop and also to hang out. During this most recent market, I found several creative vendors that I wished I could buy from. I said to my friend who accompanied me, "I wish I had people cool enough on my Christmas list to buy some of these things for." Alas, I just had family on my list. ;-P Some of my favorite finds, though, included Georgia's Sweet Potato Pie Co. (also has a spot in the Highlands that's worth a visit!), SnoWhat, Eichen Design, FLY Girl Candles and Eden & Kissi (also has a physical location that you should go to in Buechel). I was also struck by the idea that I really need to make it a point to go to more of the Flea's outdoor markets next year so I can shop these great vendors not just at the holidays. Thanks for continuing to bring some wonderful weirdness to Louisville, Flea Off Market!
