I am so pleased with my experience at Washington Health Medical Group!…read more Dr Goldin and his office staff are straight up, the best of the best! If you are seeking a very kind, thorough doctor with excellent listening skills, who tells it like it is, search no more! First, Dr. Goldin performed a very thorough exam, which had actually been skipped entirely by previous physicians. After the exam, he reviewed my radiology with me on a large screen to make viewing easy. Dr. Goldin explained his plan for my care in a way I could appreciate, even though I didn't get the answers I had hoped for. He stressed the limitations of recommended procedures, and answered my countless questions meaningfully, without rushing. This requires patience, understanding and communication that is not easy to find these days in the medical field. He also very kindly prioritized my ability to successfully complete physical therapy, by offering Home Health Care, since I am physically unable to drive right now. The support staff at Washington Health are also very professional and friendly! A very special thanks to Liz, who worked very hard to get me in with cancellations, following up with me regularly, to ensure that I was scheduled for the soonest appointment possible! It is very evident that the staff are very happy and appreciated at WHMG! I hope that this detailed review not only helps other patients to have trust and confidence in Dr Goldin, but also that this feedback reinforces to Dr Goldin and his staff, that the details of what they do in their pursuit of excellence, really does matter to a patients overall experience! Many thanks to Dr Goldin and Staff!

I was referred to Dr. Goldin by my PCP (Primary Care Provider). I have an on going issue with my…read morelower back, which was causing a lot of pain and discomfort. When I had my first appointment with Dr. Goldin, I addressed my problems to him. After meeting with him, he ordered an x-ray and MRI to be done on my back. After completing those two things, he found that I had a bulging disc in my lower back. I was given a few options and went with cortisone injections, since I did have them before. Surgery was an option, but I would only consider it if an extreme last resort situation was my very last option. A couple days before my procedure, I had to get tested for covid. Once cleared, I was ready to go through my procedure. On the day of my injections, Dr. Goldin explained his process and made sure I was comfortable and in good hands. After the procedure, I had a follow up appointment scheduled two weeks post injections. The pain my lower had greatly improved after the injections. During my post procedure appointment, Dr. Goldin gave me some post exercises and recommendations to hopefully prevent my back problems from reoccurring. I had better experience with him, rather than my experiences with a prior doctor. The staff at the office was great! If you're looking for options for doctors to help with back problems, I recommend Dr. Goldin.

So disappointed in Dr Ting. He did a full knee replacement in April '25…read more It was always disheartening to visit the office....it is nothing to wait for 1-1 1/2 hrs past appointment time to actually see him. I returned a couple of times because of post-surgery pain (was told it would be about 3 months until I was better), the last time at the 1-year mark, still in pain, asking what was wrong with my knee, which hadn't healed and I still limping. Dr Ting had a horrible attitude...it was as if I was bothering him with my questions. He took an Xray, said my knee looked great, despite the swelling around the knee cap. He said I could get another cortisone shot, which I did not want after two failed shots. He said my options were a brace or a shot. In disbelief, I said neither was a good option - I wanted my knee to be back to 'reasonable' normal. I asked what to do and his exact words were "Just deal with it." Never imagined a doctor would be so detached and cold with someone in pain, and give an answer so off-putting. He got his money for the surgery; after care is a forgotten skill in that office. Think carefully, before you commit to have him do the work. Unless you are a famous athlete and can donate an autographed shirt to his collection, you are simply not important to him. He got his money for the surgery - follow up care seems a bother to him. Just remember his answer to me when I asked what could be done...the statement "Just Deal with It" says it all.

I didn't think that was true until my horrible experience with Dr. Gay. I came in, told him my shoulder was in pain, I wasn't sure why, but I was in so much pain it was interfering with everything in my life and I couldn't even sleep. We did an x-ray, he said he couldn't tell much from it and needed to do an MRI. I said okay, and he sent me to the front to get it scheduled AND THAT WAS IT. Come time for MRI, NO ONE HAD TOLD ME that it would entail needing to lie still on my back for nearly an hour. I'm young, I've never had an MRI, how the heck would I know that? Had they told me, I would have politely reminded them "remember the part where I said I can't sleep? I literally mean I CAN'T SLEEP." I tried to go through with the MRI, but I was in so much pain I was involuntarily crying from the pain (because they also have to put your arm in a position that further amplified my pain). The technician took me out after about 20 minutes of TORTURE and I met again with Dr. Gay who didn't even apologize to not taking me seriously. He said he would give me a cortisone shot, painkillers, and hopefully then I'd be more comfortable to come back and get the MRI. I asked him why he didn't give me this during my first visit and he said "I didn't think it was this serious." ...so when I said I was in pain....that wasn't serious? At this point, I've lost it. It was human of me, I hadn't slept in WEEKS, and I was in MASSIVE pain. I said I can't believe I'm being charged for this when the doctor has clearly messed up. They said they wouldn't charge me for 2 MRIs but I still have to pay ~$300 for a "doctor visit" that entailed a doctor not taking me seriously and doing nothing for me that he could have easily done had he just actually taken the time to BELIEVE MY PAIN? Man, and the look on his face when my MRI results came back. It turned out my muscle had torn, fluid had come in and formed a cyst that was pressing on a nerve and that's why, even on painkillers, I was in SO MUCH PAIN. It needed surgery to be fixed and you can bet I didn't get my surgery done by this sexist poor excuse of a doctor. I took my MRI results to another doctor, who looked at it and said this was an enormous cysts and extremely unusual to see in someone as young as me. He said I must be in a lot of pain and asked how it happened. He was a doctor I finally felt comfortable enough saying - "I think it started when my ex boyfriend shoved me. My shoulder started to hurt then, but not nearly the way it hurts now months later. I'd only made the connection after the MRI results because now I see how it started as a tiny muscle tear pain and evolved into a cyst pressing on a nerve pain..." Imagine if Dr. Gay had been any sort of real doctor competent in hearing patients and managed to listen to me, give me painkillers and the steroid shot my first visit, and had made me feel comfortable enough to share that? If you're a woman, do yourself and do not come see this doctor. He will not take you seriously and is the epitome of what's wrong with how women end up getting treated in American healthcare. I hope he reads this and seriously re-evaluates just how awful he treated me and what malarkey it is to have charged me for that first visit. Because of him, even though I came to him in early January 2019, after experience pain the last week of December of 2018, it wasn't until March that I got surgery and was finally not in pain anymore.
