My entire procedure, an extraction of a fractured tooth, which has tormented me for 3 years of on going procdures, made me want to celebrate after leaving his office. Here is the follow up review from my initial review, which was regarding our first consultation with Dr. Lee, to have my 16 year old son's 4 wisdom teeth taken out. As I expected, another A+, excellent experience. Arrived, (nervous of course), for our 7:30am appointment. This was the first real medical procedure my perfect son had ever had, and the first time he had ever had anesthesia. Dr. Lee and his wonderful staff, during our consultation appointment, had prepared us completely for the experience. I was invited back into the operating room, to be with my son for the preparations. I, of course, was extremely nervous, but was OK because I 100% trusted Dr. Lee and his staff. Back in the waiting room, the receptionist told me that I didn't owe money at the time, that she was going to speak to our Insurance Company to find out the exact amount, and then bill me later. Fabulous! It felt like minutes before I was told they were done with my son's surgery. I was promptly escorted back, and there was my son, very woossy but safe and sound. Thank you Dr. Lee! Dr. Lee's assistant was fabulous. He was very cheerful, reassuring, calm and personable. He helped (put) my son into a wheel chair, wheeled him down to our car, and helped him in. Over the following week, my son recovered beautifully from the procedure. He managed the pain and swelling only with 2 Advil every 4 hours, and lots of ice packs. I was thrilled and extremely thankful to have the operation over with, and to have found such a fantastic Doctor to do the surgery. Later, my son told me that he remembered the assistant smiling and reassuring him, just before the anesthesia took hold. My son said he really liked and appreciated the assistant, and felt that his assistant helped him to feel calm and secure. Thank you, thank you again Dr. Lee and your super staff! I had 1 molar extraction done by Dr. Lee many years ago. A recent cone beam CT showed that a root fragment was left behind from that extraction surgery, now requiring a second surgery to remove it. Also, a tooth next to the extracted one was loose after the surgery. I've had several extractions and this had never happened before, though thankfully the tooth did firm up over time (months). Additionally, when I discussed my jaw bone condition (bone infections and ischemic osteonecrosis of the jaw, aka cavitations) with Dr. Lee, he said he didn't believe in this condition. Really? I've had two dentists and two oral surgeons treating me for this over years, with bone and necrotic tissue biopsies to confirm the infections and necrosis. If you have cavitations I would especially not see Dr. Lee. read more

He indulged all my questions without making me feel rushed and yet, when it came down to getting my tooth out, he moved efficiently and got the job done sparing me the agony of a long and drawn out procedure. If you ever have to get a tooth pulled, Dr. Lee is your guy! I had to have a fractured tooth extracted yesterday, local anesthetic, and was pretty nervous about it. Dr. Lee made me feel completely comfortable, and talked me through the whole extraction, letting me know what was coming next and encouraging me. It was the best communication I've ever had during a dental procedure; he's just absolutely great! Plus almost no pain today. read more

I've had such terrible experiences with the staff here. I was referred by my primary dentist to have all four of my wisdom teeth removed. They have been giving me some trouble and I have been looking forward to finally having this procedure done. First day I'm in, the receptionist (Johanna) is rude right off the bat, interrupts me as I'm speaking and speaks to me as if I'm a dunce. Ok, fine. I'm here for my consultation, not for her. At the end of my consultation I start to ask her questions such as can you help me figure out how much my insurance will cover, what do I need to do to prepare for surgery, etc. Her responses are hurried and short. She doesn't take the time to make me feel comfortable about my surgery at all. I have no family in the area this would be my first surgery, so all I was hoping for that day was a bit of reassurance and comfort. Did not get it. Next time I call to schedule my actual procedure she is rude again. Interrupts me as I'm speaking, has a generally unpleasant tone and doesn't seem to like the fact that I'm asking questions. Dr. Mason was alright but didn't do much otherwise to make up for his receptionist. He also seemed rushed and mildly irritated with all of the questions I was asking. Overall, my experience here was extremely unpleasant and I would NOT recommend this office to any of my friends in the are. read more

One year ago last Christmas I had a traumatizing experience with an old root canal gone bad. I was in a ton of pain and my regular dentist and the office that did the root canal were too busy to take care of me. After at least two visits to the ED and a bad reaction to pain meds I was given Dr. Lee's name. He saw me right away. He was so kind and caring. We decided the tooth needed to come out. He worked with me carefully and patiently because I was having problems reclining. Explained the whole procedure, and voila! The tooth was out! Instant relief. read more

Dr. Lee was awesome today! He was able to fit me in short notice and he was very thorough in explaining what was going on with an issue I was having from surgery I had last week from another dentist. He is clearly very competent.....I only wish I had gone to him initially to have my surgery done. He is trustworthy, calm, and very experienced--I highly recommend him. I'll now be switching over to him and not my previous dentist who had the fancy office, but is not competent and charged me $1000 for a procedure I did not need. read more

the dr was very nice but then they never ran our bill through our insurance so we got a huge bill, & every time i called to ask about the bill all i ever heard was "sorry the person who takes care of that isn't in today" so yep, now we're stuck paying an even bigger bill because now we have additional interest!! oh also, they said my daughter's (baby) tooth needed to come out because it had a cavity-- they put her to sleep to take out the tooth-- & it had NO Root LEFT ON IT-- WOULD HAVE FALLEN OUT ITSELF PROBABLY A FEW WEEKS LATER!!! be careful, they seem nice, but after this experience-- i think they're crooks. read more

The word "Amazing" would not be enough to describe Dr. Lee. He is fantastic, unbelievable, wonderful, etc. I work in healthcare system so I look at things slighly different, I took my mom for a extensive oral surgery, dr lee has a great bedside manner, explaining all details and tell you in advance what you need to expect afterwards. His staff are very friendly as well. I have to admit that, I have never seen a dentist in san francisco bay area with this quality. read more

Getting a tooth pulled is never going to be something to look forward to, but despite my apprehension, Dr Lee and his staff made the experience about as good as I imagine it can be. In fact, I've had appointments with my dental hygienist that were harder to deal with. The pre-visit process was straightforward after filling in my forms in advance online, so there was next to nothing to do when I arrived. I'd barely settled into the waiting room when they called me. The nurse checked my details, particularly allergies etc. and then Dr Lee came in. He's a good communicator, and went to some lengths to make sure I understood my situation, what my options were, and what recovery would entail. He worked on tooth 18, at the left lower back, the last one. He made sure I was completely numb, topping me up if he thought I was even remotely uncomfortable, so I never felt a thing. My tooth roots were diverging so he couldn't just pull it - he had to break the tooth in two and remove each half separately. I didn't feel anything from that either. The extraction went smoothly and quickly, and before I knew it, it was over. He chatted with me again about after care, and in particular how to contact him should I have any problems. He gave me a prescription for percocet (which I did use for several days, but didn't finish them all). Of course, with the nerve being disturbed, my teeth and jaw on that side took a few days to calm down, but it was bearable. All in all, I'm very happy with how things went. read more
