After…read morenine weeks, I can only say their service has declined markedly since we hired them in 2016 to look after our father in similar circumstances. Our biggest gripes are the awful scheduling services, and the very gruff, uncaring women who answer their phones. 90% of my phone calls to the central number leave me feeling the person answering the phone resents being bothered with my questions. Although the individual aides and nurses, have been good, our problem is the complete lack of any consistency in scheduling. Numerous times during these 2+ months, aide visits have been changed on the day of arrival minute. We never receive any advance information about nursing visits except for the planned days of visits. No expected windows of time for their visits are ever offered. We have complained about this for six weeks in a row, and the receptionists who answered the phones simply could not care less. The case manager nurse who took over for my mom several weeks ago has never been back. And with all the nurses, it is extremely burdensome when they never tell us an expected time of arrival, so we have to wait throughout the day wondering whether they will come at 9:00 am or 2:00 pm. It makes it impossible to leave home on these days to run errands, take a care-taking break, or anything. It is an unneeded stress placed on family that could be solved with simple professionalism of informing us of a time window for arrival. I agree with a few other reviewers here that while the care itself is not bad, the awful lack of communication is a problem that Masonicare neither cares about nor seems interested in solving. They seem clueless on what family caretakers are going through.

My mom ended up under hospice care while there and would get controlled class 1 narcotic medication through the placement of patches on her chest and those would go missing in the night. I will never forgive myself for putting her there. And, yeah, it cost her $17,000.00 a month. For that. For those people. For that for profit corporation. Don't do it. Just don't. It has taken me 3 years to get over the pain enough to even say this.

I have been a resident here at Silver Springs for almost a year and am set to be discharged soon…read moreafter improving greatly from when I first arrived here. I arrived here from the hospital and I wasn't doing so well. I didn't remember much but I was told that I could have died if I hadn't received medical attention when I had. When I first stepped foot in Silver Springs everyone was very nice to me and as was mandatory I attended time in the gym where I did my rehabilitation. In the gym I was treated like family and the staff there really helped me regain my mobility. When I was finished with my rehabilitation I would still come by to say hi to the staff. I also attended iRecovery and felt that it was beneficial to the reasons for why I was here. The program director was wonderful and really helped me with everything I was going through. I ended up in a position where I had to go back to rehabilitation for another issue and the staff was once again fantastic by helping me out and even going above the call by reading up on treatments while they were off-duty. The recreation staff were amazing too, always having different activities to participate in that I took advantage of because it helped keep me busy. I would give Silver Springs two thumbs up for my time here.

Please don't ever let your family go here…read more My wife is there because of broken bones and nobody helps her go to the bathroom, hasn't had a shower in over a week. Is challenged over her medication. Has no air conditioner g in her room while every other room has air conditioner and it's been a 100 degrees many days. I got to visit her almost everyday and we go outside well today we go outside in to the parking lot so she can sit in the car and have some air conditioning and I get told today that's not allowed yet it's been just fine everyday. Then I had our sons with us and they said we couldn't be out there because they we concerned with her safety. Yet they sent the desk clerk out and then a female with an attitude and security was behind both of them. I'm glad he's not keeping my house safe. Why would you put a clerk and a female in front if you're concerned for safety? Then the supervisor threatens to not let my wife back in the facility. If the supervisor wanted to do her job she could have looked at the check in paper and seen we were family. Then I got told the parking lot was off the property. So the facility just uses other people parking lots. Even though it's a dead end with nothing else there. Unbelievable. I'm filing a complaint against silver springs with the governor next buisiness day. I've seen people sitting in the hallways soiled and l have left and came back and they are still just sitting there. I could keep going on it's truly unreal. And here we are 8 hours later and still not even a call. To sum up. My wife had her husband and two sons visit. We had permission from the front entrance associate to go to the parking lot which was done several days prior with no issues. But when advised the mentioned actions were not permitted there was immediate compliance by patient/ resident and yet the patient was threatened to be locked out so care was no longer available , even though said patient never said anything and was completely compliant and all visitors were verified. So her well being was compromised for complying. Then the facilities manage on that day decided to search her room stating her medical record warranted such search. First of all she is the for broken bones. It drug addiction but most important apparently the staff has access to hippa protected information or the supervisor lied. This isn't close to being over. Please keep your loved ones away
