Shelly and the team at Masonry exceeded every expectation we had for our wedding catering. When planning the wedding, we were very stressed by the cost of everything. Shelly offered to call me and talk things through, offering creative ways for us to be able to save on spending; paying in cash to reduce card fees, reducing staff by using disposable plates, moving to one protein, etc. We didn't end up needing to do most of these things, but regardless, she indicated she was on our team and would do whatever she could to help us. She was beyond patient with me and kind the whole way through as I went back and forth on what to do. I had endless questions for weeks before booking. On wedding day, everything went off without a hitch. Her team showed up in professional attire, were kind, respectful, and prompt. They were so sweet and kept telling us how beautiful everything was and how grateful they were to be there. The food was SO GOOD. So good in fact we put the leftover scalloped potatoes, prime rib, and artichoke chicken straight in the freezer on wedding night and are just about to run out. It is still just as good now reheated in the oven! And the desserts went QUICK. If I could change anything, I would have ordered extra. We have too many sweet lovers in the family! read more

This is the same owner as when they were located in Yelm. Recently opened at the golf course and they have plans to expand their menu and hours (golf course still managed by the military so there is an approval process they have to follow). Food is just as good as when they were in Yelm. They have a few of their yummy desserts but still waiting on the military's approval to make and sell there famous sourdough bread rounds. Service was great and the facility is really nice. It's open to the public. There is plenty of seating, a fireplace, roll up doors for the summer with outdoor seating and even a golf simulator. read more

Our instructions were "Same carrot cake that we buy from the store by the slice, but could you simply just put Ash and 31 on top?" Baker said it's not a problem. Result: we received the $85 cake that does not come in it's own box. It wont close, so had it open the entire time. The carrot cake we received is not the same as the one that was sold in the store. Totally different cake! We do not recommend this place. I highly suggest driving elsewhere. This place charges premium but not deliver on that premium charge. Great little spot in Yelm recommended from friends here in Olympia since we have only a few breakfast places here to choose from. There's a bakery inside! Cakes, cheesecakes, cookies, cinnamon rolls and huge round loaves of sourdough bread. All the food has been great, have been there 3 X in the past 2 months. The homemade Hash for breakfast is awesome. My friend had the chicken fried steak and she loved it. The last time we were there the place was quite busy. My boyfriend had the biscuits and gravy, and everything on his plate was spot-on: perfectly cooked over-easy eggs, crispy potatoes, fluffy biscuits with rich gravy, and sausage that was packed with flavor. A new favorite place to eat! I live in Olympia and this restaurant is in Yelm, so I don't make it there as often as I'd like. The food here is wonderful! I've eaten breakfast AND lunch here on multiple occasions and have never been disappointed. Most recently a friend and I visited and each had a BLT and at the suggestion of our server, the onion rings...OMG these are not to be missed! The cinnamon rolls are heavenly. The servers are all friendly, but on this visit we got the best one! She was friendly, she checked on us often and she brought us samples of the soups of the day. You could really tell that she likes her job and she likes the food that they prepare! My only criticism is something that most people probably don't even notice and that is dirty, crusty ketchup bottles and on this visit, the fry sauce bottle. And it's been that way on each of my visits. It is just so gross to me to take the cap off of a ketchup bottle and see nasty crusty ketchup in the cap and the top of the bottle. I will say with the pulled pork sandwich, it described it with jalapeño and hot honey sauce & we didn't find it spicy at all which we were wanting and expecting based off the menu. The meat was plentiful and tender, but I would say the very juicy sauces overpowered tasting it - but overall it was still good.
