I have eaten a lot of Filipino food. Growing up in an Asian neighborhood, working in Healthcare when the ate's would get offended if you didn't try their adobo or pancit. I've even had lumpia wrapping as an employee appreciation event. This place is awesome. Very kind, quick, and efficient owner. The calamari was cooked perfectly, the lumpia (while very tiny) had the perfect pork ratio. The only thing I was a little disappointed at was the amount of vinegar in the pancit. It was just a little too sour/bitter for me. Not inedible, just a sharp taste. Not the wonderfully melded flavors that make you feel like you're being hugged. It felt more like a Christian side hug. It's a food truck, so be prepared to sit in your car or find a place to sit but definitely well worth the food! read more

Our family's favorite spot for authentic Filipino food! It doesn't matter what your order, breakfast or lunch, is masarap / delicious. If you are new to Filipino cuisine, start with the fried chicken, extra crispy, you can't go wrong. Lunch plates come with rice, salad, and a drink. It's a good truck so there are very few picnic tables nearby. If you have the time, then I'd recommend taking everything somewhere more comfortable to eat elsewhere but close enough so it's still nice and warm, plus our service members are likely on their lunch break so would be nice to make sure they have space to eat and run. read more

First and last eating this food truck. Disappointed very. I don't agree with the claims that this food truck is authentic. The food is overly greasy, the adobo lacks authenticity and tastes like DFAC adobo, and the sisig has far too much onion. On top of that, the prices are high--I'd rather go to the restaurant instead. read more

Overpriced and uninspiring dishes. This is my second and last visit unfortunately. Not claiming to be an Filipino food expert but definitely a fan. I lived in Manila for a few years so have had my fare share of awesome food sadly jabogs was only nominal at best. Ordered the chicken adobo and lumpia (mini pork egg rolls) Mostly disappointed with the adobo the rice was way over cooked and they didn't rinse before cooking so it starchy and a playdo consistency. Chicken tasted like it was cooked in soy and ginger they didn't ass the rice vinegar or couldn't taste it. The lumpia was just okay but you can't really screw up store bought frozen egg rolls. Way overpriced for what you get $18.50 I would add a few stars if it was more appropriately priced like 12.50 for everything. Well at least the can of Minute Maid lemonade was cold and refreshing. read more

Their lechon kawali is just okay for me. The skin is not crispy like the typical lechon. The meat part is crispy but the fatty side with the skin is soft. The pork adobo is cut in big pieces, good but can get rich. The plate lunch comes with one or two choices, rice, salad, and a drink. Friendly and fast service. They don't do side orders. It's crazy- I have not had lechon that was crispy, not greasy (it's fried pork)... but then have the fat melt like butter since the Philippines! YUM! Anything and everything I have tried here is AMAZING! My husband LOVES the food, he is probably one of the biggest food critics I know.... what can I say?!? Service is definitely amazing! My favorite is the orozcaldo! It's truly delicious! Service is always fast may take a bit during lunch but either way you won't wait too long! I love coming here for lunch and dinner! They even will stay open a bit later for dinner time which is nice because they are the only food truck I know of on post that does that! All of the dishes I've tried from their truck is delicious! Husband always orders the platter and finishes it all even when he's full because it's so good! I love Filipino food! I go to JaBogs for lunch almost every Thursday, with my cousin. We absolutely love their food! It's hard to decide what to order because everything tastes great! I normally order Beef Caldereta or Bikol Express (spicy), but I have also tried other dishes, like Bistek and fried chicken (pictured here). I always ask them to put extra sauce on top of the rice, and they generously do! Portions are the right size, and every entree includes a drink, which can be a canned soda or a bottle of water. Prices are reasonable, they are friendly, and place is clean. I highly recommend everyone to try JaBogs Fil-Asian food! By the way, tomorrow is Thursday, and I am already thinking about what I am going to order! Indeed, it is going to be another pleasant gastronomic experience! read more

Just moved to JBLM and I am already tired of the food courts. Went to Yelp to find better food options and found this food truck. First off, the lady who was working gave me free samples of their beef calderata and pork adobo- both amazing! Husband went with the pork adobo and I ordered the beef. When I first got my total I thought it was a little pricy (just under $20 for the 2 plates), but I was surprised when she pointed to a cooler and said to pick 2 drinks to go with our meals. Sat down to eat my food and I would have paid more than $10.75 for my plate of beef calderata! My husband wacked his whole plate but I have enough food for another lunch tomorrow. I can't wait to go back to try their lumpia and pancit! A guy came out of the truck and was so friendly! The other people in line were friendly! I know it is Filipino food, but the people working there and the people who were eating lunch today made me feel like I was back in Hawaii! So nice and welcoming! Stay away, very expensive. This guys is straight up highway robber. I used to come eat here a lot until they raised the price from $9 to almost $16 recently for a 2 pieces adobo chicken. He gives you lots of rice but very small protein. He served me cold chicken one day and that was that last straw. Why cold? I think he recycles food from yesterday. And lots of trash around his stall. Go to the PX food trucks. Theyre clean and way cheaper better quality food. L&L and paraiso at Lakewood is $11 for more meat, mac salad, real utensils, free water, seats and tables, aircoinditioning. read more

Definitely the best Filipino-Asian cuisine in Seattle-Tacoma-Olympia area, and it's a FOOD TRUCK! The owner is a culinary grad and had years of restaurant experience in NY before he moved to JBLM with his Army wife. He seems to take his job seriously and takes great pride in his product. Customer service is top-notch too. He has that personal connection with his customers. Definitely a winner. If you're on base, you've got to try every food in his menu.
