The gouda was lost in the sweetness, a saltier cheese may be a better option. As for the burger patty, it was cooked perfectly and was clearly freshly ground. My husband and I have developed an obsession with elote and elote cups over the last year or so, so we were super stoked to see them there. We'd never come across their stand before in other settings (other festivals, farmers markets, etc). We were doing the $5 Tastes so that we wouldn't load up on one dish and be too full (it's the way to go, trust me), so we were happy to see their $5 Taste was an Elote Cup! I'm going to chalk the experience up to the Elote Cups probably being batched, but it was sadly nothing to write home about. It was INSANELY watery and didn't have the usual flavor that we were used to. I mean it wasn't inedible, but it left quite a bit to be desired. I'd definitely try them again in the future if I came across them, but with an actual full sized serving and see if that would make a difference. Staff was nice, though!!
