It was Sunday so I had to get the menudo, the texture was my only complaint of the soup. I love tripe but this one tasted like it cooked a tad too long but the broth was out of this world. They were all out of tamales so I ordered ceviche instead, it was out of this world good. I had the four taco dish with pork and the normal fixings. It was really classic/authentic. The wife got the burrito plate and that was amazing. So lets review all of that: - 2 servings of ceviche -Menudo for 4 -Humungous Burrito with beans, rice, sour cream, & guacamole -4 pork tacos -Some other fixins All that for 19 bucks and some change. The gouda was lost in the sweetness, a saltier cheese may be a better option. As for the burger patty, it was cooked perfectly and was clearly freshly ground. However, today it was missing salt and it really needed it with all of the onions. I'd definitely go back and try their bacon cheeseburger and the pies/desserts.

I ordered a steakflo potato, no onions or sour cream, add bacon. The steak and bacon were so fresh and tender. Literally pulled off the grill and placed on top of a tender, hot potato. The meats were cooked to a perfection. Not too crispy, not under seasoned, not over powering. My partner got an OverFlo Potato. The chicken was absolutely delicious. Juicy, not overpowering in flavor, soft. It definitely made me regret not getting the chicken added. Next time I'm going to order all meats because I trust this man knows what he's doing!

The price of the fish was on the menu, but I didn't see prices for the rice and beans sides. When the sides' cost was told to me, I was somewhat surprised ($9.44) as it seemed a little high. But I realize costs are going up for everyone and these folks planned, purchased, and cooked the ingredients for my tasty meals, plus they need to make some profit doing it. So, I'll pay it. They deserve it. The parking is awkward if not dangerous. It's worth parking on a side street half a block or more away. The location is great, very convenient, however.

My husband and I have developed an obsession with elote and elote cups over the last year or so, so we were super stoked to see them there. We'd never come across their stand before in other settings (other festivals, farmers markets, etc). We were doing the $5 Tastes so that we wouldn't load up on one dish and be too full (it's the way to go, trust me), so we were happy to see their $5 Taste was an Elote Cup! I'm going to chalk the experience up to the Elote Cups probably being batched, but it was sadly nothing to write home about. It was INSANELY watery and didn't have the usual flavor that we were used to. I mean it wasn't inedible, but it left quite a bit to be desired. I'd definitely try them again in the future if I came across them, but with an actual full sized serving and see if that would make a difference. Staff was nice, though!!
