The food was phenomenal! Especially the ravioli! The Brussel sprouts, lasagna, and bread pudding were great too! We also had a salad and that was huge portion. Service was great. Great place for large groups. Easy street parking. Price was reasonable. Love the Masonry decor.

After completing the ten falls hike at Silver falls we were starving and wanted burgers. We are out of towners and decided on This place for our burger fix. We happened to visit during happy hour timeframe. They have a great happy hour menu! We ordered the calamari with a yummy dipping sauce. Calamari was fried perfectly. We ordered our burgers and surprisingly they gave fry options. Regular, beer battered, waffle, Curley fries or tater tots. They make their own ranch dipping the fries in.. yummm. Burgers were big and delicious. Service was outstanding as well. If ever in Salem again, I would definitely return!

Very tasty butternut ravioli with garlic and sage in browned butter and nice fresh mixed green salad. My husband had fettuccine which was very good too. They came with slices of focaccia bread very fresh too

Love the food here! The pizza fries were surprisingly good along with their fry plate. The steak added to the pasta (fresh with tomatoes and sautéed garlic)was absolutely melt in your mouth fantastic. They have so many unique things on their menu! I can't wait to try additional items :)

The restaurant is clean and has an upscale feel to it. The wait staff are very friendly and fast. The food was ok. The Mac and Cheese was very good and so were all the various fried potatoes. The Blue Burger was good but the Guacamole Burger was just ok. My friend didn't finish the Philly Cheesesteak and didn't want to take the leftovers home. It's not a bad place and I'd go back to try the pasta or pizza which the table next to us had and it looked great.

This is sad. Came at 7:55 they close at 9 and was told they would not seat our party of 4. The bartender was not pleasant as she addressed the issue. So I take down my 5 star review and will not come back

Several things, why do you have to be so far from me???? This is such a cute spot that I happened upon during a work conference. EVERYTHING was amazing! Great service, delicious menu. I ordered way too much because I couldn't decide and knew it'd be a long time before I ho out that way again. This is a must eat if you're in downtown Salem. it's a shrt walk from the convention center.

Found this place on our way down from PDX to Eugene. Located in downtown Salem. Restaurant was about half full on a Tuesday at 1:30. My wife and I wanted a light lunch at this hour. We both got the chicken cobb salad with ranch dressing. Your typical Cobb ingredients which were good. Really enjoyed the smoky grilled chicken. We each got two pieces of garlic toast with our salad. Server was good and provided good service. Bar area was nice and the bourbon selections were pretty good.

It was a mediocre experience, Food was forgettable. Our server Levi was very friendly, hard working and attentive. The unhoused/mentally unstable people meandering around outside were unnerving as we entered the establishment. Very clean and cute inside. Drinks were nice for the HH price. We wanted to love it but it was a miss for us.

My daughter and I were the only customers there early in the evening before the crowd showed up. But we still didn't receive great service at all. Our server hardly checked on us at all. He even walked away when I hadn't finished ordering. He didn't ask if we were interested in having drinks. That's just weird. Our food was another story though. We ordered 5 things from the menu and everything was very good! The prices were reasonable and I will definitely return and expect better service.

Stopped in at Masonry Grill with a large group from work on a Wednesday at 4:30pm. We had the place to ourselves! We ordered an assortment of appetizers and drinks and since there was only 1 server and 1 cook, it did take a bit of time but nothing out of the ordinary. The appetizers satisfied the masses and we each tried a little of everything. The margarita flight included regular, guava, mango and strawberry. Each of the flavors were refreshing and had purée vs syrup which made it taste more authentic. The flight included the perfect portion to sample each flavor. The soy ginger wrap was light yet filling and the waffle fries crispy although I felt like I could have been served more (in comparison to the other people who had ordered waffle fries with their entree). Masonry has tons of seating both interior and exterior, a good bar and plenty of menu options for everyone and the staff was attentive and pleasant!

One meal was enough to feed me all day, and the Spanish coffee I got was mixed perfectly. Other reviews mention rude service staff, but my experience was the total opposite. I wish I could've gotten her name to give her a shout-out. :) I do have to mention the lack of parking. There were still empty tables when the parking lot was already completely full. There were maybe eight parking spots altogether, but that would be my only complaint.

House made of course so it's even better than the store bought stuff in my opinion because it tastes like actual chocolate. I ordered the filet minion chicken fried steak and it was cooked to perfection. So juicy inside and crispy but not like overly cooked crispy on the outside! Topped with a hot gooey layer of house made sausage gravy. The overall size of this steak was about as big as my face. To complement this enormous steak was eggs, a biscuit & some smashed Yukon potatoes..like they were literally small potatoes they just smashed which was really different to me because I've never seen that before. I also had to order the infamous cinnamon roll pancake I been seeing floating around on other people's reviews. IT IS A MUST.. and if you are ordering it to take home make sure you have a piece of it while it's still hot and fresh because that was to die for. I won't go more into detail about it you just have to try it. It will speak for its self. Overall the dinning experience was great! Servers were more than happy to get you whatever you need. We sat at the bar so y'all should try their drinks because they looked so good and the bartenders looked like they were having fun making them. The restaurant is a literal house and while charming it is small and packed inside and the parking lot is also really small so you may need to get there early or expect to park somewhere else in the streets. We got there an hour after they opened and it was only a 30 minute wait thankfully. Will be coming back again to try other menu items!

Their ciders are great, I tried the Viking Cherry Cider and loved it so much I bought a six pack to take home, at $18 for 6 it was still absolutely well worth it. For food my coworker got the Fish and Chips, deep fried in beef tallow for those who avoid seed oils, and said it was excellent. I had a caesar salad and fries to go with my cider and it was a lovely meal. This will absolutely be one of our go-to spots when in Salem from now on.

Lots of regulars looks and feels Old. The waitress was very nice and took our order. Prime Rib, baked potato, salad, corn bread and a veggie. It didn't take too long. Here's how it went. The corn bread came out first. It was not warm and had probably come out of the fridge about an hour before serving. It wouldn't even melt the butter. The salad was your basic mixed greens with two unpeeled baby carrots a wedge of tomato and thousand island dressing. It was ok. Now the main course the rib was over cooked. I ordered medium and was more med well but it wasn't hot? Also it was very tough. The baked potato was not cooked. They split the thing before the served it so they had to know it was done and they still severed it. My brothers was The same. His meat was the right temp but it wasn't hot not hot and it was tough. The au jus was something I've never seen. It was weak and broken and someone had out liquid smoke in it. Very unpleasant. The broccoli was actually cold to the touch. We told the waitress who was very apologetic and she offered to sub anything. So we both decided to try the masted potatoes instead. They were watery and not warm. Disgusting. I checked Yelp before we went and saw that it was 4 star so I was fairly confident it would be good. Not at all. This place is terrible. If you are expecting bang for you buck try Micky Ds instead.

It wasn't crowded when I arrived, around 3 or 4pm. Service was very friendly and relaxed. It had a comfortable, friendly vibe. The prices were quite reasonable, and we got plenty of food. We ordered the Korean Street Tacos, and Curried chicken lettuce wraps and the cheeseburger with hand cut fries. Everything was delicious. The Korean tacos were a nice mixture of fresh veggies and rich meat flavors as well as some heat. The wraps were generously filled with a great classic chicken salad with curry, and had a great crunch. The burger was juicy and rich, was a good size and had a yummy brioche bun. Cozy and not too loud. Their specials menu of select food and drinks was nice, but I was a but disappointed to learn that the only non-alcoholic offering was a canned golden beer (and soft drinks, water - haha, per our server). They did have a decent selection of draft beer. I shared that many restaurants are offering mocktails and that they're missing an opportunity there. The table ordered a sampling of the menu; Korean tacos, Caesar salad, Mac & Cheese, Burger and fries, and Lettuce wraps. Drinks included strawberry lemonade, draft beer, wine, and ice tea. The Korean tacos were good, but not excellent. I think the shell could be improved upon, maybe a fried won ton? Maybe some chili sauce on the side? The Caesar salad was very good, but the mac and cheese was bland and disappointing. Overall it seems like they're working through some kinks. The server could've used some help, as he seemed to have the only one working all of the tables. No ketchup on the table for fries or offer of any. A condiment station might help, but the place is relatively small. I'm glad we stopped in and will certainly give it another shot. It's nice to have an affordable family friendly spot in Salem and I wish them the best of luck!
