This business is terrible. The owner talked rudely to me over the phone and would not honor a gift certificate given to me by my late father. The gift certificate did not have an expiration date but the owner said she would not honor it! It was a value of $54 and they refused to honor the present. No where on the gift certificate does it say it expires. In fact, the expiration date was left completely blank making it look like it doesn't expire! I would not go to this dishonorable business. BEWARE! They will SCAM you! I called and asked for availability for a walk in 30 minute foot massage for 2 people and they confirmed they could do that. When we got there the place was empty so they ushered us in right away and started the massage (which I thought was good customer service). Well they ended up giving us an hour massage which is not what we asked for. Then I go to pay and tipped $20 each masseuse, $40 total tip on my card. Come to find out these scammers charged me double the tip! $80 total which was a 60% tip. If you want to get up charged and scammed out of your money then this is the place for you. Wow! I bought a pass back in 2017 and was also given a gift certificate back in 2019. Normally companies would not still honor these 4 and 6 years later. Personally, I had a rough 5 years. I didn't do much in the way of treating myself due to divorce and depression. I'm finally starting to feel lighter and put time into my self care /self love routine. Ok you guys, this is basically a typical Asian foot massage place but the price is DOUBLE what most places are!! Paid $65 for a one hour combo massage (30 mins feet & 30 rest of body) this is actually just like a normal "foot massage elsewhere (like in convoy etc. they don't even call this the combo, but I digress...) The typical drill is the same at any foot massage place: - lay fully clothed under a towel on a chair that reclines - soak feet while they work on face and arms - dry off feet and get to work on foot massage (30 mins) - do the rest of the body Nothing special to this. I actually didn't know how much it was cause my boyfriend booked and was treating me, so I was assuming it was $30 the whole time and still I felt like it was mediocre for that price. Once we paid I was shocked it was $130 for the two of us and HAD to let you all know this. If you want a good massage go to a professional massage place, as you can get something great for this price or a few bucks more. If you want a cheap massage go elsewhere as there are Asian massage places everywhere for around half the price. Needed to have more consistent pressure and more therapeutic, was NOT worth the money. read more

We were going to be in Carlsbad for a few days, so I decided to do some Yelp research for the best massage spots in Carlsbad...low and behold "that's old skool," Best Massage came up. Made an appointment for two, two hour massages, no problem. The place is not really big, it's inside a strip mall. We were greeted with warm smiles. I found it to be very clean, even the smell of cleanness was in the air. They led us to the rear passing the reflexology chairs to the massage tables. My therapist was very good, applying the right amount of pressure, constantly ensuring that I was o.k. She was very friendly and accommodating. They had bars were even mounted on the ceiling but unfortunately I did not get my "walk on me session" as I call it lol...walk on me techniques are my all-time favorite. I feel that even though this was not one of the chain establishments, the skills here given and experience I had here was equal IF NOT better, especially when you compare the price! I went for the first time to their other location next to the UPS store in Dec 2021. I scheduled an appointment for 60 minutes full body and it was amazing. My masseuse was great! She used hot rocks when I didn't realize it came with the full body and was stoked. She was thorough a did the "normal" flip over massage that full body usually entails. A week ago, I went to their new location by the train station and again, scheduled a 60 minute full body. Half way through the massage I felt like leaving because the repetitiveness was too much to handle. Realizing a few minutes later she was giving my backside too much attention, she gave me the final Pat and said. "All done". No hot rocks, she didn't flip me over to do the front side and they charged me more. When I expressed my concern for all that was offered the first time (she blamed pandemic for not flipping me over) ... the front desk lady had little to no interest in my concern. There was really no skill in the massage but I thought I'd grin and bear it and chalk it up to a bad massage. Unfortunately in the 3 days since, my ankle pops with every step and is hard to put weight on. I have delicate bones and I think he fractured them. My massage therapist used a combo of acupressure, stretching, and deep tissue techniques. Everyone was very diligent in creating a serene experience and kept their voices low and did not talk amongst themselves. They were attentive to the customers. I asked for an appointment for a Sunday morning, and arrived about 5 minutes early to my appointment time. I was the first customer and my appointment was secured, so I asked for a female masseuse (which they were able to honor) and the receptionist whisked me away to the first room behind closed doors, which has about ten-twelve massage chairs. The entire room has mood lighting (deep reds) and smells heavily of incense. I loved it. Immediately felt relaxed in this environment. The reason for 2 stars: -No direction: it was my first time coming here so I wasn't sure exactly how the massage was supposed to be. It's half hour feet + half hour body but you're at the same chair for the entire time. My masseuse gestured for me to get up when the first half hour was done so I got up because I thought we were moving rooms and she laughed at me in a slightly condescending way because I had no idea what I was doing (admittedly, I didn't. I would have loved the atmosphere to be more inviting to first-timers...) When you do the half and half you aren't taking your clothes off so a sheet is laid on top of you and you are massaged on top of the sheet. Rug burn. Strange massage techniques, some of them literally had me stifling laughs because they were so strange. One of the most memorable was when she was scratching her nails along the pads of my toes... yes, pointy nails on toes! It was like she was trying to scrape off something from the bottom of my toes, and she spent a minute or so on each toe and I was about to burst out laughing because it was so strange. No pressure points or anything, literally like "let me scratch the bottoms of your toes for a minute each". My masseuse would also sigh which took away from the relaxing atmosphere for me. -The hot tea that was offered at the end smelled like musty clothing and tasted like dirty rag water -There is another review from Haynar who wrote that as she was leaving, was asked to pay a tip. I had a similar experience and I felt pressured to pay even though I didn't believe it was worth a 20% tip. Literally, my masseuse asked the receptionist in Chinese and he asked me in English, "Are you going to pay a tip?" I'm thinking that the dozens of 5 star reviews come from the actual massage in the private rooms in the back, and not this rug burn toe scratching business in the foot massage chairs. May return for one of those but as for the foot + body... staying away. read more

I've been going to the same reflexology place for years and decided to try somewhere different. I began by reading the Yelp reviews which were generally good, however I was turned off by the responses to some reviews as they were not very professional. However, I decided to make an appointment and try out their reflexology massage. The place was very clean and nice and the massage was good. I would have liked if the therapy room was not so bright and that clients were reminded to be quiet when entertaining the room. Unfortunately you need to walk through the reflexology room to get to a full body massage room or the restroom. I am sure I will be back as the price is just right for the service. read more

I highly recommend the 1 hour foot reflexology. It's excellent & such a good deal. You're in a nice big comfy chair. Your feet go in a bucket of warm water. This place is fantastic! I've been here a few different times, always had a different person yet I've always received a great foot massage. The last time I was there I had a man and going forward I will be sure to request a man since he was able to firmly work out knots the entire time. Very nice people who work here and overall just a great experience! I leave here feeling rejuvenated whereas other massages I've had I don't feel any different. Luke is an angel sent from heaven. I was waiting for my friend to get off work so we could hit happy hour at Benihana down the street. I was feeling a little tense in the shoulders... if you're anything like me... that's where you carry most of your stress after 8 hours of sitting in the office. I walk by after getting my grande black tea at the Starbucks next door. It's 5:25. I walk in and ask if there's a 15 minute service so I can meet my friend at 5:45. I was for sure she was going to turn me down. There was no option for a 15 min service. The lady gets up and says "$20", takes me through this door where there's an open room of about 10 people getting a massage. We walk through to my private room. I lay down with clothes on and all ... Luke comes in and gets straight to work. He worked solely on my shoulders, some neck and lower back but it was the perfect amount. He clearly knew what he was doing. I've never had my back popped professionally but he popped it like I'd never been popped before. His technique was careful, comfortable, and relieving. If you're a weakling then you definitely want to announce right away that you want less pressure. His was deeper than any deep tissue I've ever had. I am actually doing two reviews - one for foot massage and one for full body massage. Foot massage ($40) 2 stars. The first part was fine, massage on front, foot massage, but they do not massage your back at the end. I was really looking forward to it because my lower back was aching from having my feet in the water. That angle puts pressure on the lower back. I have been to other foot massage places and this is the only time they have not massaged the back. Full body massage ($60)- 4 stars- my therapist was Emily. She is very strong and gives an extremely deep massage. If you like hard, deep tissue, you will like her. I prefer massage with hands, and found she used her elbows too much, but other than that I thought she did a great job. It was a little odd after the massage when I was paying at the desk. The therapist follows you out and stands there while you're paying--like waiting for a tip. I handed her the tip, but I think it's nicer when they have envelopes at the desk to leave the tip in. They might think about doing this; it's a better way to handle that. I will be back for sure. read more

I'm a normal customer and have been at least 8-10 times. Over the past few months I've gone and received average massages. The older owner is such a doll but she may be passing the reigns to another gal who doesn't have the same welcoming business vibe. Also they increased the price and require a MINIMUM tip amount. (Why not just make the price what you're going to require??) 90 minutes use to be $80 (or maybe less) now it's $85 with a min $15 dollar tip - so $100. I use to feel like this place was a good deal but not so much anymore. I use to drive far for the good price but I don't think I'll be back, unfortunately. Sorry lady. Bye guuuyyzzzzz. read more
