I've been a member for 15 years of massage envy. Made an appointment for 10:30. At 10:28 as I'm walking to the door I'm called and told my therapist didn't show up and my massage is cancelled. They offered a different person an hour later that doesn't do my massage style. The later massage also wouldn't work in my schedule. Instead of offering to make it up or do anything for me. manager just said even though we would charge you if you don't show up. Us not showing up is different and tough shit!!! I'll start this review by stating that they have an amazing job with their COVID protocols. However, the good things end there. When there are roughly 4-7 other massage places within the general area, you'd think that customer service would be their upmost priority. However, this isn't the cas and it occurred from all phases (front desk, massage therapist, and management). I called to schedule an appointment and asked for a person who could do deep tissue. The lady told me that a person was available who could do medium to firm pressure and recommended that this should be fine so I scheduled the appointment. However, the therapist could only do medium pressure at best with no deep tissue at all. I completely understood as it wasn't his fault that he was scheduled to do my massage. When I went to check out, the front desk asked how everything was and I was very honest in that I shouldn't have been scheduled because there was no relief from the session. She said ok and nothing else. I then paid and left. I thought about it overnight and didn't feel good about the encounter so I called to speak to a manager to provide feedback and was told I'd get a call back quickly. After a few hours and no call back, I called back myself and was directed to the manager who said that she knew why I was calling and would partner with the person who hires the therapists as there was a misunderstanding. No true apology. Just deflection. Especially during these hard times, spending $75 for a massage could've gone a long way at other places so I would just recommend that y'all review your options. Nancy received me right on time, looked over my profile, and got started almost immediately. I've been searching for a good firm/deep tissue masseuse and she is it! If you're looking for pressure and relief for knots and tight muscles, Nancy has amazing hands--we also shared some really good laughs and conversation which is a plus. She focused a lot on my problem areas and definitely used good techniques to get deep into my muscles. Nice place for a quick massage. I have been to this location twice. I did try one of the upgrade of the heat and cold, not worth it. They do sell/push on the membership deals but if you hold your ground with just saying "no" it doesn't bother me. I haven't had any trouble getting an appointment either. I did email them. I got no response from the gift card. Guest relations sent me a generic I will look into it email. I ended up having to go to Facebook and send them a message. The Facebook massageenvy got an answer to me within 3 hours. And my problem was taken care of the next day. I haven't called the corporate office to see if the phone voicemail system was fixed. I have been to the one in Destin Fl so I gave this one a shot. The place is nice and clean. The prices are high unless you're a member; I think that's by design. It is MUCH more beneficial to be a member but if you don't like the service, you're stuck. Overall, I think ME caters to their clients and if you truly weren't happy, they'd work it out to make you happy or cancel your contract. Very customer oriented. I came here with my mother for her birthday and I bought us both an hour long massage. Our appointment was at 11am, they instructed for us to get there 15 minutes early to fill out paperwork. We got there at 10:40am and filled out all the paperwork. They then made us sit in a waiting room for 20 minutes and called us to the back around 11:05am. They then walked us to our room and gave us some time to get undressed. They came back into the room around 11:10am. I told the lady I wanted her to focus the most on my neck, back and feet. She only spent 2 minutes massaging my feet when I had told her it was one of things I wanted her to focus on the most. They then stopped the massage at 11:55am. So we were shorted 15 minutes of the hour long massage I had paid for. I wouldn't come here again. read more

I have to say that this was one of the most enjoyable massage I've received in a long time. My massage therapist was Tammy and she was phenomenal. I had a knot in my shoulder and she worked it out as well as servicing my feet because I have plantar fasciitis. She was very highly skilled and you can tell by her attention to detail and the level of massage that she gave me. I really truly believe she needs to be running her own business as opposed to working at massage envy but I will take full of advantage of her working there and will be back. Check it out. Although pretty much a cookie-cutter massage therapy place, it was still a good massage. The massage was only 45 minutes (not 50), but that's getting petty, I guess. I need my shoulders and neck done bi-weekly, so I'm familiar with the process. My therapist was good, but I didn't get the same "awww" feeling I got with past ones. I typically get Asian reflexology sessions but wanted to try a different approach this time. Sometimes i feel just a little too beat up after the reflexology! The front staff here is really friendly. Upon walking in, I was greeted with a genuine welcome. I was consulted to find out what exactly I needed during my massage. It can be customized completely based on my needs which I'd never been able to do before. I like that!! There are enhancements you can add to your massage and so I opted for the aroma therapy. I even got to take home the bottle of lotion with me and it's got a nice amount in there left for me to use. My massage was insanely relaxing even though I had some deep tissue work done. I think that's the reason for the custom massage plan. I got deep tissue where I needed and relaxation everywhere else. 90 minutes of pure heaven! My last visit left me more stressed than relaxed! For a membership-type place, you would think the therapists would be more consistent and professional. My appointment was cut short 20 minutes (out of 50 minutes for massage). Not sure what that was about. I shouldn't have to go into my massage and watch the clock the entire time making sure I get my full 50 minutes of massage. When I told the therapist I have chronic migraines, she didn't even massage my head/neck. When I get massages, one thing I look for is symmetry. I'd like for the same massage on each side of the body. Otherwise I feel unbalanced. The manager here helped me work out some membership issues with my home location in Colorado Springs. The actual masseurs here that I have been with are amazing. I struggle with chronic illness that inflicts pain on my joints and muscles and the people that I have worked with here have all been amazing. My massage today was excellent! I was very impressed with how they walked through the questionnaire that you fill out to make sure they focus on what you need for that visit.
