I was visiting the area and booked myself a 90 min session with the only available therapist and I hit the jackpot. I had Nicole (Jing) and she was amazing. She wasn't very talkative due to a bit of a language barrier, but she checked in frequently to check on pressure and my comfort. She is an excellent therapist if you are looking for a firm to medium massage and took her time to really work out my tight shoulders and neck. I have never had such a full service experience at a ME and I've been a member since 2009. Warm towels to clean off the message medium, covered my eyes to keep any light from disturbing me, and she put my socks on my feet at the end of my foot massage so my feed wouldn't be cold. I've had two facials at this Campbell location with Elizabeth, and I highly recommend her! She is incredibly professional and skilled. During my second visit, I was so relaxed that I actually fell asleep. She applied a Vitamin C serum at the end of the session, which I left on overnight. When I woke up the next morning, I was surprised to see that my face was incredibly smooth and felt so elastic and firm. What really stood out to me, though, was her personal touch. My masseuse was coughing, sneezing and sniffling the entire massage! She was obviously sick and allowed to be at work, doing a job where she is in such close proximity to and touching clients?? Management should not allow sick employees at work, period. Especially at jobs where there is such close client interaction. I wasn't even able to relax at all during my massage, every time the masseuse coughed of sneezed or blew her nose, it was all I could think about the entire time, and the management didn't offer any form of compensation for my wasted money. I was given a massage as a surprise. After the person giving it to me said over and over to the receptionist not to contact me. However, Massage Envy insisted on my phone number to make the appointment. To my friend's chagrin, they texted me a confirmation for the masssage the day before . . . so they blew the surprise. I was 15 minutes early for the appointment, however, the masseuse came and got me 10 minutes late (after my appointment time). It was supposed to be a 60-minute massage. I figured she would make up the time at the end. Well, the massage ended 10 minutes early. You don't have to be a mathematician to figure out that the session lasted only 40 minutes. Very disappointing. Also, my friend asked for a deep tissue massage for me. It was an ok massage, but I kept telling her, you can go harder. She was mainly massaging the skin and stretching. Bad business practices! I have been going here for about six months and have had a decent experience with the massages. I have a membership and the location is convenient so I go regularly. After my massage yesterday they told me that I owed $30 above and beyond my membership for a "market price adjustment" since my membership is from another location. I have no issue with them changing policy, but why didn't they tell me that before my service when I had an opportunity to cancel if I didn't like the new deal? Massage-1.5 stars I arrive ten minutes early and fill out their online questionnaire about medical history and area of focus for my massage. Then I head into their very basic waiting area. After a few minutes my therapist calls me and brings me to a room. She asks me what kind of massage I'd like and if I have any medical issues. Seems redundant but I let her know my health is fine and I'd like to focus of my back, shoulders, and legs. She says, so you want full body? I had booked a 90 minute massage and said yes please. This is my first time getting a massage- my chiropractor had recommended me to get one since she said that my muscles are stiff and tight on my back. The front office was very nice and maintained great professionalism! They helped answer my questions and explained the COVID-19 restrictions and took my temperature and I was able to sanitize my hands. The massage therapist that I saw was David, and he was AMAZING! He was very charismatic, explained what he was doing the whole time so I wouldn't be surprised, and constantly asked if the actions that he was doing was comfortable. He made me feel totally safe, and I was very comfortable with him. A person can honestly see that he cares about his clients, and genuinely wants to help them. I've explained to him that I had a tightness in my back, specifically the right side of my back. I work in an office and I know that my posture wasn't the best. But after seeing him, I feel that my back muscles are more comfortable and I walked out feelihng like jell-o! Because of him, I decided to open up a membership and will continue to try to go at least once a month. I have been to several physical therapy place in the Bay Area and also to Massage Envy, but not the one on Campbell. So far I had only 4-5 star experience in terms of check-in process, following my expressed areas of tension (mostly neck, shoulder back), quality of massage and overall customer service. This time my wife booked me a 60 minute session with Diane. After the the session I was very disappointed. 1) I was 10 minutes early, but we started 5 minutes late and finished 5 minutes early. 2) I expressed and explained that I would like to have the back, neck, shoulder and head as focus areas. Diane took almost all the time (~45min) for the back and arms, What left only a few minutes for shoulder, neck or head. 3) After the massage, she simply explained that this is the end and she left the room, without saying anything else. Not a good bye, not offering a water or even escorting me back to the reception. Nothing. 4) I send an email with a very detailed description of my experience and after a few days I got a reply email from the manager Lexis, explaining that they tried to call (neither my wife nor me got a call) and that I can call back if I want to discuss the matter. Nothing else. I can not recommend this Massage Envy in Campbell at all. All aspects that make a place like this so special are not met, such as customer service, massage quality or massage for your money. Here I have been going to the Mountain view location thinking there was nothing in San Jose, D'oh! D'oh indeed! From the looks of it, this massage envy location is quite unique. Maybe the space used to be a spa before, but it sure doesn't feel like your typical massage envy. A calming lobby complete with candy and friendly staff. The vibe is very calming, and they enforce a "no cell phone" policy. Nothing worse than enjoying a massage and hearing someones conversation in the next room. The quiet room is small, but you shouldn't expect to be waiting too long. Water is provided, and I love that it's flavored with lemon and some kinda herb. The rooms are standard, and make sure you advise the receptionist of your preference of pressure prior to making appointment. 5 stars to Aubrey. She knew what I meant by firm and was willing to adjust. She worked out the knots in my shoulders, opened up my back, and allowed me to comfortably touch my toes-without pain. I found this location has a very relaxing waiting area- velvet cushy seats, a window that lets natural soft sunlight comes through, flickering candles (not real but equally nice), well stocked tea packets in the drawer. I also found the perfect massage therapist for me here- Sarah. Sarah's touch is firm yet fluid, she helps me relieve tension build up, break apart deep knots and yet the fluidity of her movement allows me to fully relax and bask in the healing power of human touch. I was surprised with a very sweet and spontaneous gift of an hour long massage recently at this Massage Envy location. First, be aware that it's a little hard to find. They are located inside The Pruneyard shopping center, behind El Burro restaurant and down a little walkway. There is not a lot of signage so don't blink or you'll miss it. Parking can be a problem in the Pruneyard sometimes so if you go during busier hours, be sure to leave time for that. The atmosphere at Massage Envy is more clinical (ala a doctors office) than spa-like. There is soft music in the rooms, dim lighting and water or tea available but if you're expecting more of a lavender-scented, plush robe experience this is not the place. If you do choose Massage Envy you might look at it exactly how they market it - as part of your overall health and wellness routine, rather than a special occasion, spa day type of treat. That being said, I had a perfectly good experience. The front desk staff was helpful, friendly and efficient and the facility is clean and well maintained. I requested a Deep Tissue massage and was referred to Johnnell and he definitely knows his stuff. Many therapists I've gone to before do not put nearly enough pressure when I ask for deep tissue. He does, and yes it can get uncomfortable at certain moments but the benefits afterward are exactly what I need. I work out like a maniac 6-7 days a week and carry a lot of stress in my shoulders. I also have a small lower back misalignment that flares up occasionally. He listened to my problem areas carefully and really focused on helping with the pain I'd been having recently. During the massage, our conversation was easy and free flowing. He has strong hands but a gentle, comfortable nature. I would go back and see him anytime. And apparently I will get the chance... My friend gifted me with a year of monthly massages. What a treat! So I'll be sure to report back if there is any change in consistency or quality of service. I'm 65 years and was treated to a 1hr.facial massage today for my older skin, it was wonderful, I do have say it was very relaxing and soothing, I had a great experience with (Shawn ) the esthetician therapist, who took great care to rejuvenated my skin. Which includes facial cleansing, mask , and of course a massage. He massaged my shoulders and my arms and hands. The treatment i received smelled so fresh. During the session I almost fell asleep. Beware! I signed up for Massage Envy in Campbell many years ago, partially to hold myself accountable for getting a massage regularly and partially because it was a great deal at the time (then the monthly payment was approx. 50% of the going market rate for massages). Since then, I have been having issues with massage therapist's availability, and the pricing has increased significantly to almost equal market rates - but still with the required subscription commitment. I now have a whopping 16 hours of massages on my account that I am desperately trying to use - but their massage therapists are so booked that it'll take me months to use those. So I called and asked to cancel my subscription, to stop paying the monthly payment and use up the 16 hours I already paid. Well, they only give you 2 months to use up unused massages and after that, you forfeit the rest. They do have a "Freeze Plus" option, where they will reduce your monthly charge to $20, but those $20 won't count toward your massage account. It simply allows you to burn down unused hours. In summary: You can get less expensive massages here for a subscription fee, but if you ever fall behind in using your massage credit you may end up paying a steep premium for quite an "average" massage experience. In my case, it may cost me $1,200 of massage credit I can't use up due to the permanent unavailability of their massage therapists. read more

I had tried a chiropractor earlier in the day to relieve my pain and it didn't help at all. I called in the afternoon, desperate for appointment that days. The receptionist was incredibly helpful and patient with my questions...the paper work when I got there was helpful to my therapist and he seriously gave me one of the best massages of my life. I have countless hours on file I'll never be able to use. As of April 19, 2020, I still haven't heard back from you. I'm going to have to ask my credit card provider to block your charges... unless you call me and take care of this. I completely understand the current circumstances and how challenging it is for your type of business, but you can't just disappear on your long time customers... I've been to quite a few of the locations and settled on going to this Campbell location because one massage therapist was really good as a sports masseuse and could actually locate the IT bands. But I've been canceled on twice now. This second time, I was actually in the car driving there with 15 minutes before my appointment. The young woman who's the receptionist had no idea what to do except to say she was sorry and that a manager could call me in 2 to 3 days. (Where the heck is the manager if not on site?!) She offered me another appointment with other other massage therapists, but since one of them actually screwed up my back I don't want anybody else touching me except this one massage therapist. I always book her weeks out so that I can organize my schedule around the appointment. And she books up regularly so it's really difficult to get an appointment with her. To cancel 15 minutes before is unconscionable, unprofessional, and disrespectful of my time. I usually tip fairly well because I appreciate the service. Looks like I was being taken for a patsy by that massage therapist. The receptionist had the gall to say they wouldn't charge me for the last minute cancellation. What? You bet you won't charge me. I went ahead and cancelled every appointment with this massage therapist and won't be returning to this or any of the Massage Envy locations. I wish all the good sports massage therapists hadn't retired in the South Bay. We sure are lacking in people who know what they're doing and are responsible and respectful businesses. Don't go here unless you make a backup plan. They don't really know how to treat people when they screw up. I have hesitated to leave this review (despite always feeling compelled to because its so so so deserved) simply because if too many people learn what I have, this man will become busier than he already is. In any case, here goes: Jay is amazing. I have been to spas around the globe, I have been to MANY therapists within the massage envy locations hear in the south bay area, and by far, Jay remains a favorite. His professionalism and technique are unparalleled. He has a very experienced craft and it shows. Being one of the more senior therapists in the branch does not always mean you will be the absolute best, but in Jays case, he really just is. I recently sent a friend his way, and she too agreed that he is exceptional. I have gone in with all sorts of needs as well. Some days I need a lighter relaxing massage and others I require some knot work and more advanced movement to loosen up my muscles. He can do it all and I am always left with the perfect blend of relaxation and improved overall health when i leave his sessions. So, if you want to give this location a shot, I highly recommend Jay.
