I was a member for 6 years. It is hit or miss what type therapist you get. I had some great massages and some really bad ones. That's to be expected I suppose. But the manager, Janson, is an unfortunate disappointment. It was a while back I had asked him the details about canceling my membership.He told me point blank you lose any credits. He failed to tell me I had 2 months to use them. One day I had an accident that prevented me from calling in time to cancel an appointment. I was charged full price, not my membership price, from my bank account, not from the credits I had paid for to cover that day. I called several times to talk to him but he wouldn't take my calls, instead he sent a text of the policy regarding missed appointments. I consider it bad business to lose a faithful client who has spent $7000+ at your establishment over $130. Bad Management In my opinion. Needless to say...I canceled my membership and went elsewhere. Massages are always the best. I must say this place has excellent customer services. I was in a dire need of a massage like I am for a vacation but do to Covid I had decreased a lot of things I normally do. This place does a lot to decrease the risk of the spread of Covid 19. First they require everyone to where a mask before entering and everyone is temperature check. The guest must wait outside prior to their appointment. All guess must complete a Covid screen questionnaire. After every guess rooms are wiped down with disinfect and of course the tables a changed and wiped down. Management needs to be trained in customer service...I had an appointment and was told only after getting there and checking in that my service was canceled due to therapist being ill. Now I understand that things happen but common courtesy wasn't given, a simple call would have been enough. The (Manager) had the audacity to tell me that it cost me nothing so he didn't understand why I was upset after getting there and my appointment was canceled! Like my time was worth nothing. I was talked into signing up for a "Wellness" plan. The details of the plan were summarized very quickly when I was still in a post massage haze. The plan is a rip off. $ 80.00 per month and all you receive is one service (massage, facial, stretch) per month. But, the regular price for each of these services without the plan is less than $ 80.00. As I signed the agreement, I was going to chalk it up to a learning experience until my mental health issues have come into play. I will not go into the details, but the franchise owner has refused to allow me to cancel the agreement, even though there is a clause that allows the company to grant a cancellation due to extenuating circumstances, at their own discretion. I have been going to this location since they opened. I try to go once a month but that doesn't always happen with my schedule. I have gotten to know the owner and he is very kind and fair. I saw a review saying he was racist. I can tell you standard protocol is if you miss a massage for any place and you don't call and cancel is you get charged for that massage. Especially, when other clients are desperate to get in for a massage. I understand some therapist are harder to find appointments with than others. Some clients need specific days or times due to their work schedules. I can say Jansen has a daughter but she is not old enough yet to work. The gentleman that was rude was being rude to an employee. That being cleared up as a long time customer who's husband is one who has a hard time getting those appointment's with certain therapists appreciate this policy. My husband had an appointment booked for me yesterday for my birthday here and they called a couple hours before telling me it isn't happening anymore. My had found out an hour before my appointment and was not able to come in their next available that day because we had already had dinner reservations planned they told me I could come the next day (today) I told them I was busy but if I could book the appointment and cancel if it didn't work. I was never told that there had to be a certain time I needed to cancel By they told me it has to be 24 hours when I called today and told him no one told me I needed to cancel ahead of time yesterday when I re booked. I canceled an hour before my appointment because by the time I was done with dinner they were closed and I had things to do in the morning and realized I still had to cancel it and wanted to let them know I wasn't coming instead of them waiting for me to show up. The man I spoke to on the phone letting him know I was canceling was extremely rude. He basically yelled at me for canceling an hour before when they canceled on me around then yesterday. And tried to tell me that they tried calling my husband at 9 am no sir we went back after I got off the phone with them to see when they called and left messages no it was not 9 am it was 12:49 pm - 1:45 pm so nice try. I apologize for not it being short notice but also didn't know it was a problem since they had canceled on me a couple hours before. Will definitely not be going there ever and will never recommend this place to anyone ever. I just moved to Georgia so this was my first birthday away from family and friends and they completely ruined it for me. I don't get the negative reviews on here... I've been coming here for about 5 years now and my massages have always been great so.... Cari did my massages for the first three years, but due to a change in her hours, I can't make it in time - but my wife's been going to her for three years and she's GREAT!!! Now I go to Lauren and she's been perfect as well! I broke my neck in a freak accident in February and needed physical therapy twice per week and massage therapy once per week and Lauren has just the right amount of pressure. I was disappointed when this location was bought out be another company and they got rid of the frequent massage points that used to get customers free massages - it wasn't just that they got rid of it, it was that they didn't tell their loyal customers it was gone. Also, the cost of the membership and extra massages has increased, but that's expected after 5 years so.... On that too, it wasn't something that was communicated to us, the charge on our credit card just went up. Overall - I'd give it a 92/100 - rounds to 5 STARS! read more

I have no issues with the quality of the therapy here. I was there the first time with lower back muscles that just wouldn't relax. After the first session there was big improvement. A follow up session got me back on track. A few months later a similar thing happened with the same good results. My mistake was becoming a member. It required a year long commitment. I went ahead and did it in spite of some reservations. The issues started when I decided to cancel. They wouldn't do it over the phone. That's fine but they wouldn't do it via email either because they are apparently Luddite's. They insisted that I cancel in person which meant an hour out of my day in round trip drive time. I was more than a little annoyed. Three weeks later their bullshit continues with ANOTHER ding to my bank account for membership fees that they no longer have permission to make. I rarely post negative reviews, but I hope this will help at least 1 person save their hard earned money. My wife and I scheduled a 1 hour couples massage for 5 pm. We didn't get called back until about 5:05, then getting undressed/starting massage was about 5:10. The massage was over and we were getting dressed at 5:55. I'm not a mathematician, but that doesn't add up to a 1 hour massage. For the massage itself I asked for firm - the pressure throughout the entire massage was literally equivalent to my 3 year old nephew giving me a "massage". The staff was nice so this review is strictly on the massage itself. After spending close to $200, I literally felt like I was robbed at gunpoint. I've given myself a better "massage" by rubbing my back against the corner of a wall. For a place named "Massage Envy", I certainly envy those who got their massage elsewhere. Please AVOID this place at all cost. The therapist are great. I really enjoyed the massage but the manager and his daughter ruined it for me and I will NEVER return. My son and I walked in on a Friday morning to request massages same day. We were so excited to be able to schedule massages for the afternoon. When we scheduled our appointments we also took the time to fill out our online intake forms. Don't rush through these especially when you are entering focus areas. They have water in the waiting area. They welcome you back to a quiet area to sit while you wait for your massage. My son and I both had great experiences. Just spoke with one of the owners, Janson to whom stated to me that they the company bent over backwards to accommodate me and the membership I signed up for. I paid 240, 60 directly debited from my bank account. In the time I signed up I've had two major surgeries that have left me in recovery and broke. (two hip replacements, by the great Dr. Guild at Emory) The recovery has been rough and the remaining finances have left me overwhelmed. I called to have the dues frozen and they did do that for me more then the contract requires per Janson. He further eluded that if I had a membership at a gym that offered free personal trainer services and I went inactive after five months, I would not be able to go back and use the membership. Besides, I don't have a gym membership at this time, I just go out of a wheelchair. Trying to walk is my thing right now. Also, I have paid takelessons.com 200 in services and it is there for me to use when I can. What was so frustrating about this conversation and situation is that the business has no contingency to people who encounter financial problems. I can't give the membership to anyone without a fee, I can't just schedule five family members to just use the service at one time to just use my hard earned money, and I have to pay 120 to finish the contract. HE reminded me that if I pay 60 today and use the service before the next payment on the June 3rd...that June payment goes in default and would then go to collections. Well, medical bills are a bitch. He also told me that he had therapist there just waiting for me to come use the service. That is what my 240 paid for for them to be on stand-by. I never knew that. I will not be going back. I loved my masseuse, he was great and the highlight of my experience. When you aim to steal my money by telling me I can't have the sessions I already paid for the experience turns sour. I received an hour massage from Massage Envy as a gift. The massage was was ok but the noise was more than I personally like and it distracts during what is supposed to be a quite and peaceful time. The other thing I didn't like is the fact that you get 50 minutes for a massage instead of 60 minutes and just like all other company's, they make sure you are aware to tip for your massage.
